is there a batch file someone has made i could download anywhere?

im mainly just wanting to get rid of the looping sounds of constant powers like the various shields and auras.

Not to be rude, but, from the first post in this thread, regarding the rules of this thread:

Anyone with a high level Sonic Blast character that could figure out all the sonic attack sounds?

I used the list provided by thingamajig, http://cohsounds.nerdherd.com/, but I don't even have a level one to test the sounds for!

Any annoying looped sound from a power should be /bugged. They've gone through and made a lot of them taper off after a preset time.

I clicked show all and then did a search for "boombox" and "music". I found removing sewer music and mission music (which I was looking for), but I didn't see anything on boombox. I want to disable that music as well.

Any ideas?

You could try silencing all the sounds in the Boombox directory. The Boombox has a whole bunch of different songs selectable from the Chat window.

as an aside, the Pocket D and boombox sounds are perfect candidates to sub your own music. Just keep in mind, what you're grooving to and what others are hearing are different.

And, I had to sub "Peter Gunn" for the bank music, since it does NOT taper off but plays thru the whole mission.


... it was either that or the Keystone Kops themes...

There's still a quiet rumble on activation that I haven't tracked down. I can't get it to happen all the time and I think it's negligible so I'm leaving it at that.

I know this is weird, but I'm looking to silence the sound that occurs when a Mercs MM summons his soldiers. For some reason, it annoys me.

EDIT- I'm also looking to silence Tar Patch, Fearsome Stare, and Petrifying Gaze. Thanks folks.

The others, for the most part, have already been covered.

As Nod mentions in this post, some power activations will play the hasten sound while hasten is running. Tar Patch is one of these. hasten2.ogg will cover it. hasten.ogg is not used (in hasten at least).

Yes, they cover all three pets and the 2nd upgrade. The WalkieTalkie that plays seems to be randomly picked.
