Great thread! I combed through my entire roster to find all my guys with helmets. But, looking at them and the ones in this thread, I realize I need to step-up my game in the helmet department.
JAK-RBT 7 - not really a helmet, as he is a robot:
Pyro-Fly
Aquila Praetoria
Codename: Spectrum
Silverheart
Argonaut Alpha
Eldarion Ulthanwei
Dog O'War

The aforementioned Knave of Trumps also benefits from the Steampunk Booster.
Suit of Hearts
Suit of Spades
Suit of Diamonds (sharing it for completeness sake, doesn't actually use any Steampunk parts)
Suit of Clubs (TBD - maybe I'll ask for some suggestions in the Re-Design thread) -
A while back, I made a character called the Knave of Trumps. She was a mercenary from the Wonderland Wars. A card of many suits, if you will. She left Wonderland through a rabbit hole and ended up in the Pocket D. She hasn't returned home since.
Well, the Queen of Hearts does not take kindly to deserters. No, she does not. To that end, she has dispatched her Royal Hunter to retrieve the Knave.
Soon*, the dreaded Cheshire Grinn shall stalk the Rogue Isles.
* Probably around June 1st. -
Quote:While I am also disappointed with the restriction on color options, I have a more charitable view of the reasoning behind it.It just bothers me that the artist put his or her own artistic vision ahead of customization and gave us pieces with very limited use for no real justifiable reason.
Take the Steampunk hat (bowler with steam pipe) example. You can color the hat and the band, but not the pipe or hair. This is pretty disappointing, but I realize that we only have the ability to apply two colors to any one piece. So, we were given the option of coloring either the hat or band. Sure, they can work around this where the pipe and/or hair would receive the same color as either the one for the hat or band, but that's not ideal, either.
It's like the Saxon helmet, I desperately want to be able to color the metal and fur separately, as well as the hair. But, that's not possible. So, I end up with an grey iron helm, with grey fur and then whatever hair color.
With the hat, I'm not sure how I'd feel about having the hair or pipes being colored the same as the hat. I've gone on too long, but basically, I think it is the two-color limitation that is the reasoning and not the ego of the artist. -
I love how the wings work with the mangler gears shoulder pieces on the Galvonic Man

Wow, you guys, as a NA Player who's eagerly looking forward to the Merge, I gotta say that this sounds like a very cool event.
Good job and sounds like you all are gonna have a blast. -
Thanks to the Vanguard Pack, I can make a well-armed Callidus Assassin.

Might have to recall this alt from Protector for this:
Lieutenant Commander Stephen Austen of the Royal Marines is one of our most celebrated and accomplished aquanauts. He has made numerous deep sea dives in the name of exploratory science. Recently, he had suffered an unfortunate accident with his diving bell. His body was crushed by the massive pressures of the deep ocean. Through the courageous efforts of his Marine comrades, Lt. Cmdr. Austen was rescued from a watery grave.
After months of painstaking work by a team of England's most prominent surgeons, watchsmiths and blacksmiths led by Dr. R. Wells, as well as an investment of a heretofore unheard of budget of six million pounds sterling, we present The Galvonic Man.
The inspiring words of Minister O. Goldman were instrumental in the success of the Galvonic Man project:
"Stephen Austen, aquanaut, a man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first galvonic man. Stephen Austen will be that man. We can make him better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster."

Character Name: Mr. JJ Jingles
AT: Tanker
Powerset: Shield/War Mace
Class: HERO
Server: Virtue
Mr. Jingles was a happy monkey. He used to be a tiny monkey.
Mr. Jingles and his owner, Salvatore, went to Atlas Park everyday. Salvatore played his organ-grinder, while Mr. Jingles would do a funny dance. Everyone loved Salvatore and Mr. Jingles, especially when Mr. Jingles would play his little cymbal with Salvatore.
Sundays were a special day for the two, as the park would be extra crowded. People were everywhere and things were relatively peaceful. It seems that on Sundays, or at least back then, everyone just took it a little bit easier.
Sometimes Salvatore and Mr. Jingles would actually get to play for The Statesman! Salvatore would turn out a jolly tune, while Mr. Jingles would dance about and bang his cymbal in time to the music.
Yes, things were good for the two. Especially on Sundays. Until it happened.
One beautiful Sunday afternoon, Salvatore and Mr. Jingle were doing what they do best and getting a lot of money for it. It was a good day for Salvatore and Mr. Jingles.
Suddenly, the park was filled with people running and screaming. They were scared. An evil wizard had decided to attack Atlas Plaza. On a Sunday!
The evil wizard, no one remembers his name now, was defeated by a passing hero. The hero was All-American II, everyone knows him! But, when the scientist fell, his Embiggening Spell hit poor Mr. Jingles!
Mr. Jingles didn't think anything had happened to him, he was just very scared.
But, Mr. Jingles noticed that everyone and everything around him was getting smaller. Mr. Jingles was very worried and looked to find Salvatore. He looked up, but could only see the sky. Mr. Jingles heard Salvatore's voice and he looked down. There's Salvatore!
Salvatore told Mr. Jingles that the world didn't shrink! Oh no, what had happened was that Mr. Jingle grew. And grew. And grew. Mr. Jingles was very, very, very big now.
Mr. Jingles was so big, he became a super-hero. He fights bad guys and helps good guys. And on Sundays, he still plays in the park with Salvatore. Salvatore even got him a new cymbal and banging stick!
Mr. Jingles can be big or he can be small. Either way, he is very, very strong. Mr. Jingles is so strong, he now fights bad guys with his super friends, The Dauntless Reverie.

I liked the comic as an homage to the Silver Age Superman. It was nice to see another glimpse of that hero, even if for a little a while. Unfortunately, I think that all the stuff that made it work as a comic does not work as an animated movie.
Still, the art direction was as good as it was in the comic, so it's okay to watch with the sound on "mute". -

Do the Super Sentai powers vary from series to series? I'm not well-versed in this universe at all, not even a little bit really. I had always thought that their powers remained the same and only the uniforms changed.

Marrying Bio Plasma fist aura with Kinetic Melee with the same colors is making me so very happy. I'm interested in that Powerset all over again soley because of this look.

Rainbow Crow - Long ago, Rainbow Crow brought fire to save the people. Now he has returned, his many colors still hidden under his burnt feathers, to save the people once more. The Devouring Earth will burn in his flames!
Brother Coyote - The Trickster has come to aid his Brother Crow in the fight against Hamidon. His aim is always true, whether a bullet from his guns or an arrow from his bow.

Got the Animal Pack, but didn't think I would be able to use any of it. The faces were awesome and beautifully detailed, but too literal. I could not come up with a character concept that would make use of such realistic looking animal faces.
Figures that I'd find inspiration in storybook fantasies and the excellent series, Fables.
Miss RR Hood - Even the magical ancient woods of Europe were not beyond the reach of Hamidon. As the creature laid waste to the woodlands, fairy tale characters would join forces to escape to Praetoria and fight another day. Sweet Red Riding Hood offered the Big Bad Wolf a taste of her flesh so that she would gain the beastial strength necessary to flee the Hamidon.
The Last OzGuardian - Sent from Oz to protect the homeland of The Dorothy, The Three Companions were trapped by the Devouring Earth in the ruins of Kansas. The Yellow Brick Road had been shattered and there was no way for the Companions to return home. After many attacks by the Devouring Earth, the Companions melded together to form the Last OzGuardian as a last ditch effort to survive.
Babe the Blue - Hailing from the legendary forests of the Pacific Northwest of the United States comes Babe the Blue. Dressed in honor of his fallen friend, the mightiest lumberjack of them all, Babe has made his way to Praetoria. Stomping and smashing every bit of Devouring Earth and Hamidon he found along the way. He's all set to make his way back to the West, just as soon as he's done reminding folks around here about the legend of Babe the Blue.

Added another to the Storybook Heroes of Legend (or something, still working on their names)

26 on Virtue
14 on Pinnacle
14 on Triumph
6 on Protector
12 on all the others
Most are created because I build characters in themed groups, I have very few non-themed characters (they are on Protector). Obviously, I don't play any of them near as much as I'd like, my main server is Virtue. -
Forgot one more member of the Cohort Custodes.
Augustus - One of the most intelligent operatives in the Legio, Augustus has honed both his mind and body to the limits of human perfection. Combined with his cunning and cold logic, the enemies of Praetoria are as dust before him.
