Quote:To my knowledge numi +recov/regen does not drop in 10-14, or bronze at all for that matter, only regen tissue +Regen does.I just started my brute a week or two again, I get to play 2-3 hours a day weekdays and 4-5 hours a day on weekends. So far I've farmed about 3 bill and have all non-purp sets in my build completed. I don't want to bother recording my numbers until I get mu, which I will tonight. But from a pure anecdotal standpoint, I'm probably make a 200-300 million inf per hour in just kills plus another 300 mill off the the stack of 999 tickets(roll for bronze 10-14, get many +recovery/regen plus various other defense based sets that sell well, sell for 30-40mil ea, profit..).
And if you are really making 200-300mil inf in kills i find that VERY unlikely, specially after factoring in sell time, that means you are almost twice as fast as even the fastest numbers posted as of yet. What arc are you running?
And 300mil for 999 tickets, did you mean 9999? -
For farming you dont need to shoot for def, getting little bit (like aegis in armor toggles) doesnt hurt though of course. You wanna shoot for +rech, +rech, more +rech and enough recov that you can keep attacking without having to use a ton of blues, which you want to combine into reds. But the reason you dont need to worry about def for the most part is that insp drop A LOT. Keeping 1-2 small purples up will mean you are almost unstoppable.

Id say you looks quite good, you will never die from s/l
But what kind of toon is this. Invul, granite or what? -
Quote:The proc isnt going to fire with every dmg tick. At most it will fire off twice.BA really is not the place to put this, BA ticks way to slow, as for FS yes it hits more targets in a single hit but burn ticks faster than BA and is constantly hitting those 5 targets for way longer resulting in it eventually having more opportunites than either power to proc.

Hah, I have to agree with you. I dont have it punch still looks like punch. But if it can knock a giant robot the size of a ******* skyscraper on it's ***/cause it to explode im gonna feel pretty damn powerful.

Yes
But not if it will delay the other slots, judgement, interface, and destiny. -
Quote:I thought we were rooted because we HAD to be. Because it's part of the game engine, but i could be wrong.Ummm... no. The reason for rooting is the same as it has been for a loong time: Risk vs Reward. If you could run-n-gun with all of your attacks, there would be barely any risk at all, since the attacks are guaranteed to (have a chance to ) hit on each activation. So you run up, you animate the power, then you run away, just like usual. I and I believe most others are not interested in a zippy ADD flashfest. That sounds more like Call of Duty and its ilk - which is ok, but it is not this game.
The game does not 'have to change to suit the mission'; the players have to adapt to the mission. Isn't the other way around just silly? -
Quote:That is actually a GREAT point, it is generally best to just move just those few meters that you need to in order to get out of the patch (jumping does not help, it just makes to look stupid :P) then get back to taunting, debuffing, attack etc.One thing I did learn (besides not to ever use Shadow Maul if I hadn't just moved) was to move less.
I cant confirm this in anyway because i havent run apex with my MM and havent actually tested it out. But i think pets just might actually have some res to patch dmg. At least when i saw a pet standing in a patch it looked like they were taking less dmg per tick. Shivs and HVAS only take tick dmg of about 60ish last I remember. Just sayin' -
Quote:Funny, the ONLY time i have ever failed an apex was when we had an ******* on the team that was too stupid to dodge the patches and kept saying we could finish even though it was clear we could have.I still don't particularly enjoy Apex and find Tin mage much more fun but I have learned to fight and run and yesterday managed 5 Apex TFs with only one failure..
But it seems tasks like LRSF or states are almost impossible as a pug, i actually had to make a mind/dom, get it to 50, IO it out to get perma. Then and only then, when Im on this toon, has there been a decent chance that pugs Ive done will complete. (But i have been told by many i have just had very bad experiences with the LRSF)
Quote:One thing I have noticed already this week ... We are into weel #5 and all any character needs to craft two rares and one very rare are four Notices of the well. The RWZ is not jam packed with people desperate to find an APEX and I pulled out my new 50 level Blaster and easily found an STF and an ITF to get enough shards so I could slot her Alpha and then make her my 4th Incarnate to complete the APEX as the WST. A lot of players are simply saying.. Okay Apex is the WST? See you next week when its something that doesn't frustrate and annoy me.
Quote:Can ANYONE see how this might be considered annoying by most of the player base? Forget usng half of your powers (which you worked through 50 levels to obtain), Keep moving constantly or risk almost certain death, spend half your time trying to find a spot you can fire off a couple attacks before its time to run away again, oh and JUST to add to the frustration when you do get off an attack HARRY POTTER has sent a thousand magic swords to one shot shot. HAVE FUN!
But the thing is, i only need a 2-3 attacks to have a full attack chain in the first place. So i am able to still use plenty of powers and dodge patches.
What most teams end up doing with swords is you kill all but one (if you keep killing them all they just respawn) which makes swords a non-factor for the most part. However it does suck that you cant confuse them. >.< -

You just need to get better at it. Ive run it twice on my mind/fire without dieing once, 4 times without dieing from patchs. And another time on my SS/fire without dieng from patchs (damn pylons got me once though *sigh*)
But guess what? AFTER patchs form i can still get 1-2 attacks off and still get away. Even stuff like burn, 2 second animation. Or confuse, another 2 second animation. Or KoB, which also has a 2 second animation.
So to the op, you sir are slow.
EDIT:
Quote:Quoted for truth, yes je_saist was quoted for truth. What is the world coming to?One of the things Incarnate Content is going to FORCE YOU TO DO is to LEARN HOW TO BE FLEXIBLE AND ADAPT. The entire intention of the Incarnate Content is that you cannot approach any of the scenario fights with the same tactics that you use in non-incarnate content. -
Id try to get both in there but i recomend fire shield if you can only get 1. My mind/fire only has about 1.4 end/sec to work with after toggles for the most part but thanks to dom he has some of the best end out of any of my toons.

Quote:I just ran the farm you listed with my SS/Fire/Soul in 1:48 yielding about 3 mil inf/minute. I started the clock as soon as I started attacking.Quote:Just ran it with bosses on in 3:05 for around 2.8 mil inf/minute. I didn't check the before and after inf numbers, just used herostats and since it's in such a short time frame the number fluctuates a lot. This was with being at the damage cap for most of it.
I just ran it on my SS/fire/mu and it took 2:21, +4/x8 no bosses, and ended with 2mil inf/sec.
Im gonna try it again but for now how in the hell did you get so much faster on a /soul?
Edit: just did it again took 2:01. When exactly are you starting the clock? after using hasten/rage/FE or before? I've been counting as time.
Edit 2: just ran my normal arc #460877
+3/x8 with bosses
I started the timer right when i finished loading the first mish, ended up finishing at 12:30 seconds (with the rest of the load times)
2.4mil inf/min
7227 ticket gain
578.16 tix/min -
Yay!
Im not sure why i am so excited because not a lot of new stuff (that interests me) was announced but i cant wait -
You could try mocking beratment in the attacks. Those are also uber cheap and would give the same +rech as well as +end, and fire def.

Quote:So will Foot Stomp be better because of it range and maxed targets versus Burn? Well I've just checked and FS base-recharge recharges 5 secs faster, however, Burn last a bit longer and it ticks within it's 10 second duration. But does it matter how many targets the power effects becuase Burn has a maxed target of 5 and I think Foot Stomp maxes at 15 targets if not 10. So Burn or Foot Stomp?
As I am writing this, it is more than likely that Burn will recieve this IO Proc because it cannot simply slot the +100% Recharge - 5% chance to proc like Foot Stomp can.
Well, i wonder. In a power like rain and whatnot a proc tix every 10 seconds. Would that mean that it tix's right in the fronted loaded dmg and then again 10 seconds later? And another thing i just thought of is that in order to fit all those procs into FS you end up having to sacrifice dmg slotting, which isnt bad if you use a ton of reds, but since burn caps before its own slotting half the time you could just add some rech to it and then proc the hell out of it. Hmm... -
Quote:Thank you for the data chunkI've been reading around and have found into more information.
I swapped out oblit for multi-strike on blazing for endurance issues + procs suck on auras.
took change for end out of rotp, put in stam, that works right?

Ah, yes it does. I still think you wanna try and get that miracle proc into health though. And i HIGHLY recomend you DONT slot your ST attacks with that Kb, even though the +rech is nice, becuase they will now do actual KB not just KD. If you dont plan on EVER using them then slot it i guess, but that would only work in farming. -
The miracle proc is useless in RotP because it only works after you just used RotP, ill have some more info in a bit.
Plz attach the data chunk next time. -
Burn, procs are useless in Auras, better in FS though if you have the room because of the higher target cap. That is what i have it in, but honestly i think a dmg proc just might be better because its very hard to tell when FotG even works.
Edit: i guess a proc isnt "useless" in an Aura power its just that they are better in attacks, at least ones that fire more than every 10 seconds. -
Id say a good estimate would be about 6.3-7.3k tickets. Then i do 15-19 bonze. I dont craft, thats just far too boring and takes too much time. I dont remember the number for the arc i run, but i do it on either +4/x8 or +3/x8 with bosses.
Ill figure out the ID if you want later today, as well as some more accurate stats. -
Quote:Oh, sorry that 15 min was of farming. I can end up taking about 10 min or so to spend tickets, but ive never really timed how long it takes to spend so that is a total guess.Average 200mill in 15 minutes? I find that impressive, more impressive than any amount of time spent clearing an ambush farm on whatever combo actually. It'd probably take me that long to just trade the tickets in, delete the crap recipes, buy salvage for the good ones and put them up on the market, let alone actually run an AE mission.
Video or it didn't... Hmm.
But if you would like i could post a video. Just how would i do that? >.< -
2.2 bil in 2 days isnt all that insane. I farm about 15 minutes a day (full arc counting load times etc.) and within that amount of time i make can make up to 600-500mil on a good day (average is about 200).
Also, i for one am getting sick of this video or it didnt happen ********. Seems like that never gets thrown around when someone says their SS/fire/mu did task X within Y time. Which I really think we do need to start doing, rather than just all of this theoretical stuff, this idea has been thrown around before but simply ignored.
Anywho, I'm going to try running arc #482818 and see what happens tomorrow. Can't wait.
