    Invention Sets

    No, a lvl 50 claws scrapper, and a lvl 50 claws scrapper are exactly the same. What makes them different is the pool powers, enhancements and etc. So I have kinda killed my own suggestion there, lol. Dammit. It was an attempt at using inventions as a way to differentiate heroes with the same powers in another way I guess. Ok, I give up..........

    Invention Sets

    For superstrength, I mean how they class heroes strength levels in comics. For example, the Hulk might be strength class 100, while Spiderman is strength class 10. Not all superstrength heroes have the same level. It would be something to differentiate tanks. Maybe like combat levels for scrappers, Batman is a great combatant, while the Falcon is a good combatant, but not at Batman's level.....and so on. Just a thought really, allows customization without really changing anything, except damage and such.

    How often do they add recipes for specialized sets?

    Are they better than just regular inventions, i.e. accuracy, damage, and so on?

    Special Set suggestions:
    Super strength classes(lvl5/lvl10/lvl15)
    Same kind of idea for other powers as well. This idea might not go over well, but just a thought.
  4. Reboot: I will be on Tuesday night at 8:30 Et, hope to see everyone there so we can get back on track. It is summer, so it's been difficult, but we are not in a hurry to reach any end goals, just play as many arcs and see as much of the content as possible in the framework of Fortune's Five. Hope to see you all, and yes, I have been a culprit for not showing, so you can all beat me on Tuesday ha ha ha ha.
  5. Do you have to be level 5 in order to use AE?
  6. Usually at 1st level and beyond, you either run Contact missions, which is good for beginners, or you go to the sewers until you can hit another zone.
    You get the AE contact at level 5, question, can you use AE prior to that?

    Second, even though it only works out to 4 or 5 missions at low levels for a contact, couldn't AE be used for this in lieu of New low level arcs? Not much point in creating content for 1-5 lvl.
  7. My bad on the whips. I assumed, making an a** out of myself, lol. All I am saying is that magnetism is a power for heroes and villains in comics, and not to dismiss it out of hand, that's all.

    Any thoughts on what any of you would like to see?
  8. I recently saw where Whips will be a new powerset from Going Rogue. It got me to thinking, why not make this a customizable power, and offer a melee weapon power period that includes multiple weapons - you select the one for your build right from the start, so whips, knives, staff and whatever else you can think of.

    Second, why does it seem as though there is resistance out there to powers like let's say magnetic or optic blasts. People say law suits, but powers are powers, can they sue someone over that?
    I saw a post for Optic blast, was a great power set, loved it.
    For Magnestism, there are a whole host of powers that could be offered. Iron Grip(a hold power)/Shrapnel(explosive metal objects)/Magnetic Thrust/Force(pushes a person away)/Magnetic Force(holds a group)/Hurl Objects(similar to gravity). I'm not very good at this, but I hope you are seeing the point.

    I think one thing we can agree on, is more powers the better along of course with more content. I am liking the updates with I16 and Going Rogue, good momentum. But I would like to see some open minds on powers, and not just have them dismissed out of hand.
  9. I would have liked to see them provide new animations for fiery melee. Tank, scrapper, port and now it is there for both. This needs to be retooled and reanimated. Wrong thread maybe????

  18. How many people don't like this power, obviously the ones that only have a narrow focus on other powers in the game. Like really, a custom set can be made. You could make a mud slinging blaster power, no problem at all. A lot of responses are I don't like it because.........but really, the because is simply that they don't like it, but are explaining it a different way.

    I like it, nothing wrong with optic blasts. Just because 3 or 4 have it in comics, doesn't mean that it shouldn't be included...........hmmm, shield is a power.
  19. Let me amend this by saying we will run radios for the temp powers and such, so I was wrong in saying that. What I meant is that we will run arcs as well.

  21. How do you get ranged defense for blasters? What are the enhancements/inventions being used?

    Is getting Tough worth it for blasters?

    How do I make myself less squishy, without delving into the numbers too much.

    Power Pools

    I agree that they are part of the cost, but really, when I pick a pool, there shouldn't be a useless cost, that is all I am saying. A person with a NRG/NRG blaster, should not have to take boxing if they want toughness and acrobatics, that is all I am saying.

    Power Questions

    I was just saying reboot a power, that's all. I don't think that is not doable, but those of you who have mentioned it are right, there has to be a cost benefit analysis. Having said that then, I would prefer new powers to power proliferation because if it is essentially the same set for a tanker that is ported and balanced to scrappers or vice versa, then that doesn't really interest me.

    Hmmmm, your explanation makes sense. An issue for rebalance or reimaging wouldn't bother me. Would take me less than one click to figure out how to use my new power.....don't buy that explanation. Nothing wrong with revisiting something. At the end of the day, I was just asking anyways, I know it would be difficult to go back because where would you stop then. Makes sense, but me no likey ha ha ha ha. Part of why I asked is because I would love to play a hero with that power, but not with the powers available. I like the defensive side though

    There are so many things the Devs could be working on, and power pools might not be high on their priority list, but I imagine if there is enough feedback, we might see something. I like the power pools, just don't like to see me taking a power I will rarely use to be a little less squishy, lol.
