AE and lower levels/New low level arcs

Usually at 1st level and beyond, you either run Contact missions, which is good for beginners, or you go to the sewers until you can hit another zone.
You get the AE contact at level 5, question, can you use AE prior to that?

Second, even though it only works out to 4 or 5 missions at low levels for a contact, couldn't AE be used for this in lieu of New low level arcs? Not much point in creating content for 1-5 lvl.

Try a search using the term [LFMA], that is a tag folks use for lowbie friendly mission arcs.

Now they may not be exactly right for the sub 5s, but I have run a good deal of them with that tag using a range from 1 through to 15 or so without any major issues.

Do you have to be level 5 in order to use AE?

nope. you should be able to start from lv 1.
