You need to download the pack, and extract the contents into the right folder (directory). See this post above for the folder name.
It will then automagically use the new cursor, no selection needed or possible. To change back to default, you'll need to remove the extracted files from where you put them.
If you install them while city is running, you will need to restart the game. -
Quote:I was going to suggest you use the thumb tack option on maps to find your way back to base portal or where ever, but I dont think you have the patience.I wasn't saying get rid of them. On Freedom, all of my bases are individual and I'm productive. On Union, I put all of my characters into other SGs and I'm "learning" new things about SGs.
For example, I now have 7 SGs to memorize. I waste so much time trying to find things. Sometimes, I get lost and have to logout to get out of the base. My "earning" time is greatly reduced on Union. With the Surge, I TPed to the SG hospital base and realized large SGs have "overhead" so now I'm wondering if this was the right decision.
I'm really angry that people spend so much time "padding' their bases with nonsense. Designers/owners seem to be more concerned about looks rather than performance. I can't take 5 minutes to zone. I can't
I'm amazed you have the energy to get really angry at people who want a base that suits them, and who have invited you to share it. -
Quote:Its not just us getting screwed if NCsoft brought hookers and booze with the money :/(snip)
The bottom line is that by buying those packs, we contributed more money to NCSoft. If you believe NCSoft took that money and bought hookers and champagne, we got screwed. On the other hand, if you believe NCSoft put that money back into Paragon Studios in terms of hiring more staff and getting more resources, then the net result is that we the players ended up with more game. The notion that if we didn't spend as much money, we'd still get the exact same game but for less money is only true if you believe the Booster Pack revenue goes into the Paragon Studios Carnival Cruise fund or that some guy in Korea that looks like Chiun from the Remo Williams movie is getting rich off of us.(snips)
~
Great trailor for the booster pack. I'll be getting it.
I don't mind NCSoft getting my money, I like this game. -

Or use firefox with downloadhelper extension.
Or lots of other ways via google "download youtube" -
Quote:The amount your contribute doesn't change your rewards, once you've reached the partipication level. There is no better reward based on contribution once you get anything other than the 10 threads.Part of the problem is that people insist on 24 member BAFs and 16 member Lambdas even though we now have a tool box full of Incarnate abilities and are combat level 53. Run trials with smaller teams. It's simple, and you get better rewards because you are contributing more.

Quote:The same.I plan on staying til they shut off the servers, then I hope they have a stand alone game I would play that.
I see this game going into maintaince mode more than shutdown, with AE content can be added for a long time after being placed in care taker mode. -
Quote:I'll list things for 1 as long it has a bidder. Takes up a market slot for seconds. Sometimes goes for lot more. Gets credit towards badges. Saves me vendoring or deleting it.No, I'm pretty sure what I meant is if you list any piece of uncommon or common salvage. Low, Mid or High Tier for more than 1 influence. You are dumb and wasted a market slot on an item for a completely insignificant amount of influence.
Market slots would be better spent on IO's simply because you are looking at higher profit margins per slot. At best right now for salvage, selling stacks of 10 that you managed to buy for 1 influence and sell for 500K, the best you can get out of it 4.5 Million. (Most are in the 100 - 200k range) The number of IO's you can turn around for significantly more than that is staggering. -
The free reactivation weekends most likley would mess up the three year purge.
Though if you have missed 3 years of free weekends, its even less likley that you will be returning. -
Add me as a please do this.

I'd like the 5 missions raised after your first mayhem/safeguard. Or at least give us the detective's phone number so save the hike.
-
If I had the magic dev stick, rather than server merges, I'd put the energy into cross server teaming over server merging.
-
This is what I'm looking at for it now.
Hits the soft cap for s/l (just), 100% recharge, and arctic air + mud pots doing the proc circle of death - which I'm hoping will be as fun in practise as theory.
High on end usage though, hopefully sustainable via domination refilling it. I'm not good at working out end usage with tha taccks on top etc, more try it and see.

Quote:The lack of a mask bothers me too.Gave up after the mid-season break. Got tired of the father's refusal to make any attempt to conceal his identity and the general stupidity of most of the characters.
I almost went back to it, but then just never bothered. Best character was the bad guy who was dating the mom's assistant (don't remember anyone's names right now). -

You've run the ITF twice and called it farming?
-
SGs have more functions than just finding teams.
I'd add coalitions to finding teams via SGs, though that number is still much less than global chat channels. -
It does work, though cherry picking requires side switching, with its built in time sink.
Essentailly all your accolades will give you the alt version. eg force of nature grants geas of the kind one etc.
see the paragon wiki page eg http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Born_in_Battle_Badge page for them, and you'll see "Alternate Method: Obtain the following badge as a hero or vigilante before changing alignment to that of a villain."
IIRC you still have the alt version listed in your powers, but unuseable. -
AA would mean arctic air.
I'm going s/l def. I want to smash faceAnd get in thier face with arctic air.
The +accuracy seems a waste with the purples.
Still got another 7 levels to go to decide. -
Just have to say again, these are great. Been using them, and its a joy to reduce eye strain and have distinct easy to see cursors.

I've been looking at my slotting of arctic air, a power I enjoy a lot.
Planning the 50 build of my ice/earth and considering what to put in arctic air.
Option 1)
5 x purple confuse set. +10% recharge helps a lot for perma-dom.
Option 2)
Proc'd up
1 x cont. confuse
1 x maliase % Psi
1 x cacaphony % energy
1 x Glimpse abyss % psi
Then filling out with a con/end or two.
Could fit the slow % smashing but then really running short with slots, as need some end reduction in there.
Interested in hearing some pros & cons,
Thanks -
I don't imagine the information of where/how you got your bonus slots is tracked. Unless you mean for every slot over the original 8 (or 12 depending on when you brought the game or what game you brought).
As there is a warning that picking a slot if permament, I can't see them spending a lot of time on it.
I wouldn't object to it happening, but don't see it. -
The other thing, is that global channels are a near must to join if you want on demmand access to a pool of players making teams.
This thread/guide has the basics about global chat channels: http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=112918 but check the forum for your server for more specific and recent channels. You can also do a channel search. -

I'd rather remove the particpation effect, and the random reward table.
We have many existing options to deal with leachers or door sitters.
Heh, and some irony with vodoo girl's post:
when you were getting nothing but commons due to what you felt was playing your character poorly, (doing nothing, basically) you were in fact being judged as having been particpating. Getting the common reward means you passed the metric.
