  1. this is pretty amazing, makes me want to invest io's to my dusty old warshade lol, btw i noticed that this was done in MA, just a bit of a noob question but isnt a GM in MA less harmful than one say found in game in their respective zones? just curious
  2. im glad you like it and i hope you are happy with your final build, after tweaking mine a little i have sacrificed some defense myself to give all my resistences more, all in all a very sturdy build.

    right i understand now, so i should build for resistance as you say Energy_Blaze, then everything else afterwards, obviously i must have some defense, aswell as 45% capped s/l ?

    but i must make sure the resistances are up first gotcha, i do apoligise if i seemed rude or aggressive but your first post did come across as a tad abrupt and ultrawatt although i know you have soloed an itf, your comments seem degrading and pretty much unhelpful.

    just my opinion, although on saying that thank you both for the help, ill be sure to post my build for another look at.

    Baltoro is not rude nor was he in this, he simply said which explains to that even though Local Man as much gracious effort has put into making such an amazing guide, which i personally think is great, not many people have the time to look through, even myself i skip builds just to get to the "crux" of it so to speak, and its the same whoever you speak to, now really it can be misconstrued as the person reading might not understand the person who wrote and therefore the person who reads should take into consideration all accounts and aspects of that person if indeed they feel they could "sympathise".

    i agree with you a 100% that Local Mans guide is genious, however i dont even for 1 second believe Baltoro was rude at all, he was very polite aswell and his intentions werre just.

  9. hey i checked your build out, its not bad, but your sacrificing alot just for the defense, one thing ive always learnt never to sacrifice too much for something else, leaves you wide open with problems then, while your frankenslotting the hell out of your early days powers your missing out on vital recharge and a stable attack chain.
    not to mention your riding the "tank" horse a little too much not to sound condescending.
    softcap is great but without sacrificng a lot on an elec toon you most likely wont get it, however, in light of this, say you fight arachnos, a mix of all types of powers but mostly psionics and energy and toxic, you will need i say defence more on energy and psionics, now you have some resistence but not alot, another thing is if you have 90% energy resistence you dont need softcap on that but enough defense to survive with, remember the key is survivability.
    Another thing to consider is that if your planning to do itrials aswell that energy is a good form of defense as itrials are full of energy attacks.
    i took the liberty of tweaking the build a bit giving you more defense in other areas to breathe aswell as good hasten 9 seconds from perma, 5 seconds away from perma energize, that will keep your regen rate very high and give you a good end. discount, and a respectable attack chain to boot thats not too shabby but not too weak, blinding feint is brilliant for the guassain set as a 3 second recharge means you can keep at it to get that +tohit boost aswell.
    By the way you built that build i assume inf is not a problem so i took care of the 3 major def procs and resis proc.
    a travel power included aswell.
    not to mention less endurance use more end recharge and nice regen procs to boot.
    plus power surges recharge down to 360 seconds giving u massive resistance if not capped to all dam types besides toxic and psionics.
    with the incarnate power spiritual on it boosts your regen a bit or use the nerve core for more defense.
    either way your survivability is much better with regen and defense with good resistence too.
    hope its good enough let me know what you think.

    EDIT: and the reason for less defense, because you can always pop a purple inspiration to softcap ur defenses to 45%.

    i need a build for soloing, now i understand FA/SS is great for pretty all ingame content, from i been reading in the posts and i just wanted to see if its possible an FA/SS can solo an itf?
    if so what would i be building for specifically on mids?
    energy and negative defense mostly and smash/lethal.

    high damage mitigation and a decent attack chain.

    i can only get up to 30% s/l defense and 32-33% energy and negative defense.
    would that be enough?

    please help many thanks

  11. in light of the builds being posted and ss/fire elec/fire being the main 2 talking bout, i have played ss/fa, its nice, definitly a must for anyone, but i made a build for my elec/fa not long ago and its pretty sturdy in itself.

  12. i looked at the powers for this set particular setand they seem pretty low at first but once i made a build he seemed pretty sturdy, i chose a brute because i felt it lacked in damage and it most definitly needed that, in comparisson to other sets(i.e superstrength) it definitly needs rework, maybe a ranged power, but anyways i chose willpower as a secondary because the self rez, endurance and health and so forth, now with all the tinkering i could do i got smash/lethal defense to 43% include hover and its softcapped.
    most dam types would be 40% including hover and my regen rate is 651% or something like that.
    i could bunk it up with a regen tissue proc 30%.
    status wise it looks good, definitly on paper, ive yet to test it.
    no endurance problems i can see either and i believe i have a decent attack chain.
    my question is if anyone could tinker around with it aswell and see what the come up with, ill be most impressed not to mention greatful.
    To be honest i dont wanna swap sets, as im going for a rogue story character profile.
    this set suits him perfectly.

    Now I am not saying that, those are the sets that are being worked on, but I will say this much, before Shield Defense became an active set, we knew Cimerorans had them and the only power they had was Phalanx Fighting.

    It really doesn't take long to create a Dark Illusion. All they need to do is to decide if the set needs to remain the focus on "pet controls" or adding more controls that can be affected by Domination. Once they made that decision, the rest should be easy.

    Actually, the fact that they didn't port Illusion hints that they are leaning towards less pet controls, which kinda defeats the purpose of Illusion set, don't you think? It's like porting Super Strength to Stalker but without Rage. lol It's like why bother?

    now this i can agree with aswell, it would be nice to see a port of dark with illusion, pets would be good but maybe less of tho just phantom army, or some combination, dark army? lol would definitly be overpowered however way we look at it, fire/dark corrupters are just phenomenal to play with so a dominator needs some kind of dark set, or any set ideally.

    i can accept some form of "hey it could be a set put together" kind of response but in light of your comment, see previous..ghost widow and so forth, it has already been reiterated that ghost widows powers are just a fusion of dark and villain patron soul set, frostfire is a mish mash of fire and ice, and malaise, well ok you win that one lol but my whole point is the name, Autumnal, dont be mislead to think its JUST fire and ice, what happens in autumn? combination of nasty weather and as such could be implented into a powerset, yes unique sets do get handed to certain npcs in game, but as previously mentioned this has been used as a way to introduce new powersets into the game and could be a ploy aswell, so fingers crossed, i really would love to see this set and experience it for myself

    i see your point there but as ive said previously we still dont know the final take on this, im merely just throwing balls of ideas to people and get a vibe going since i personally think this is "the" set the devs been hinting at for doms, just because someone said before she has a combo of fire and ice dont assume its a port, this could be an all new set wih different animations and such, i want people to bare in mind that also i could be wrong and will happily apoligise if i got everyones hopes up.
  20. As Vauluur pointed out, we havnt seen or heard anything of this autumnal set except a picture of dual wield elemental swords, we can see it is different because it has new powers, but we still dont know what it looks like, or how it plays so your assumptions will only be just that.
    nobody knows a thing and to clarify once again this whole thread is just based upon information found and see what the general consensus is on it, the information is there for you to accept or deny choice is yours but assuming is very foolish and we can only wait and see what the final word is with the devs, which at the end of the day is where the truth lies and the buck stops.
  21. i think the problem has to be psi, not very good dps if im honest and it needs some work, time however is a really powerful set and needs another set for good synergy, i would suggest rolling a rad/time or fire/time both are excellent choices tho, even a sonic/time would be goodstuff

    I decided to go with fire/dark for my namesake, from the build i made he seems pretty solid, ill be using him mostly to solo, his defenses seem ok, but im not sure if its powerful enough to solo a gm and AV.
    of course darkest night helps with all that so just need someone to go over my build and give me any tips or advice to make this build a monster
