Awesome thanks for the tip Z-man.

yeah, if that is the case than I wont be able to get them for a good amount of time, I hit 39 months in august so I got a wait.
  4. Unfortunately i wasn't able to make it to SDCC this year, didn't have the funds, but a buddy of mine went and said that what he saw of the vids they have shown the wings look high-res when in motion, and that the animation is best described by taking a clear glass of water and puting in a few drops of food coloring. The motion of the food color is the best way to described the motion of the wings.
Personally I'll be using a 'firery' look, with the wings, to go with Aingeal when I make him. Also if you haven't checked it yet, here's the link for the i21 Convergence trailer.

  5. They do look a little low-res, but the fact that one more of the things that players have been asking for since the beginning is finally becoming a reality is awesome.
as for character designs, yeah deffinately expands the ideas. With the helmet and some of the other pieces, it means I can finally create my character Aingeal Tsolais. BS/Shield Brute. Just hopefully that Celestial Armor set has a Shield to go with it, or I'll be hardpressed to find one that fits the costume.
  6. Ok, this is BADA$$. I love the look of this costume set, it has a look that could be used for both Futuristic Armor, and for Magical Armor looks. Take a look if you haven't seen the Dev Screenshots already.

Plus in the article they discuss the Paragon Rewards system and also mention in new Weapon customization, which you can see one in Picture 2 above. Looks like Warmace gets a new toy! Also they go on to discuss the new Paragon Points System and the benefits of being a VIP with it. If you haven't seen and read it CHECK IT OUT!

  7. Like I said earlier, KB is a 'Double-edged Sword'. If used correctly you can assist your teammates that are squishy and being over run to save both their lives and yours; when at the same time, if used incorrectly, it can result in cases of team-wipe, kicked from team, or whatever the instance may call for. I've been on both sides of the fence when KB is involved, I've been the one using KB and I've been the one kindly asking another player to please avoid using it as much as possible.

The biggest thing to remember here is that it's not KB we all 'disagree' on, it's the player that, even if asked, refuses to oblige and uses it senselessly.

A little I can cope with so ST KB is not an issue, but constant AoE KB = quit team for me and not for reasons of efficiency.

AoE KB has got so many other toons killed in my experience, that I avoid it unless it can be used safely/constructively. This means I VERY rarely use it. If you get the dark tank killed because you took a situation he had under control and punted all the mobs he was going to heal off out of range (similar situation with ice tanks and their endurance, toggle dropping because some idiot knocked everything out of EA is not fun), that can be a teamwipe, and all because you want to have your fun, how selfish.

Watching a claws/invul scrapper use their cone KB to knock a load of mobs out of invincibilty then get terminated when they all got up and shot him when much of his defence had fallen off was another funny.
I agree. I have a NRG/NRG Blaster that I play often and back when I started playing him I was advised by MANY players that to be a respectful player that I should avoid the KB as much as possible. So thus I do try to avoid it, unless i'm running on my own, or I notice that a player being swarmed is about to end up making a hospital run, then I'll throw out one of my KB powers to relieve some of the pressure on them. I do like the KB when solo though, it helps keep the more 'melee' aggressive types off me enough to use my heavier hitting abilities that may take a little time to activate and throw out.

So while KB is in itself is fun, it's an epitome of the the phrase 'Like a Double edged sword'. To alot of players it is annoying, especially if it's a tank running a massive mob and trying to hold the aggro off the squishy players, where KB can disrupt that and end up getting the whole team wiped while the tanker attempts to get back the aggro; but also vital if the blaster is attempting to save the squishiest of squishies, the emp/* Defender from being squished.

I was told that with Corruptors having it, that Dark Blast would more than likely not be ported over to blasters since they wanted to give each AT a difference in each other. But then again I posed this question back when 'Cryptic' still had hold on CoH.

Gotta go with you on this one Bill. I've inquired about this with the devs at a convention a few years ago, and was told that would would probably never happen, but I am STOKED that it did!!!!! I've been wanting to make a Dark/Dark Blaster forever. Which means I will finally be able to make Kerithias Black, Son of Jack the Ripper!(still working out background story.) SWEEEEEEEEEET!!!!!
  11. just off topic for a sec. I want to thank all the 'Reddies' out there. I have to admit this is the most 'Red' responses on subject matter that i have seen since i started playing CoH way back in i3. Thanks guys and gals, this goes to show that you all really do listen to and read what we have to say!!!!

  14. Holy crap..............
How in the living name of whoever did this turn into a DEBATE topic. This was SUPPOSED to be for people to SHOW OFF THEIR IDEAS!!!!!! If you're not happy about it then discuss it in the News and Anouncements DISCUSSION thread. I have noticed that when it comes to standard members posts the dev's don't really look in on them, but in the "official" posts (made by such people as Zwilinger) the dev's do look in on it.

Ok so that's my rant, and I close with this. CAN WE PLEASE GET BACK TO WHAT THE ORIGINAL PURPOSE OF THIS WAS FOR?
  15. Here's my Defender mentioned earlier and i mistyped earlier he's a FF/DP Def not Trap/DP.

Also I made a Female version of the MMA fighter I mentioned earlier. She's a MA/SR Scrapper

And here I'm using the Victorian Decor aura as an aura for her "Chi" Energy

yes that would be awesome, to use it on a MMA fighter looking character for males would make my day!!!! I got a DP/Traps Def i made and will post picks soon.
  17. These are some awesome looks people, i love em all! Some of these ideas i would NEVER have thought of, main credit to Mystic Fortune on the 'Blood Trail' with clunker aura, and bAss_ackwards with the armor/cloth look. Just brilliant... brilliant.
  18. Well i 'toyed' around with the peices a bit, and found that some of the 'Resistance' pieces from GR work well with the Steampunk bits (the Goggles for instance) Would love to buy this on the 1st when it comes out but with money tight as it is right now, i may have to wait a while.
  19. Well Shondowakai on Freedom will be ready for the invasion. Hopefully he gets a crack at the 'All Mighty Emperor'. My Mace is gonna go "SMASH!"
  20. Well the account time period is over, now all we gotta do is wait for the 28th to get the rewards

the feet they have on the wolf are actually the 'Cat Feet' not the monstrous.
  22. Well despite all the grumbling everyone is giving I have only one thing to say about the Animal Pack.

    American Phoenix Approves!!!
