I doubt it will tank as the beta doing great in korea and I presume the figures are for pre-orders. It may not do so well here though as it seems to be to all intents and purposes Lineage 3 and another grindfest.

I love the game and thoroughly enjoy it, I wouldnt have 31 alts if I didnt, but the stories for the most part arent that brilliant and lets face it, its dressing as a hell of a lot of the maps and missions whether dressed up or not, are the same.

Give me a brilliant map such as the Freakolympics one, some of the end missions on TFs like Leviathan etc any day over a so so story.

No, it probably isn't. That's not what I said.

Your ISP just connects you to the internet. After that the data passes through at least half a dozen different nodes, all owned by different companies. If any one of those nodes isn't working properly it would cause the problems we are experiencing. The closer the dodgy node is to the datacenter, the greater the number of players who will experience problems.

You can prove that this is what is happening, as it is possible to get round the issue by forcing your data to take a different path through the internet.

Okay, I understand that, but either way, as Sing said, other games work perfectly well, as did this one until fairly recently, so I dont see why it is suddenly becoming unbearable.

Last night was horrendous and tbh if it keeps up like this, then servers, ISPs, routing or whatever, people will gradually give up on a game they love purely down to being virtually unplayable and other games, while not as much fun, at least dont play like a slideshow bouncer that kicks you out for not wearing the right Route trainers.

The dev team are NOT sitting around twiddling their thumbs waiting for the competition to shove them out of business, they will be grinding the millstone of creativity to ensure that when CO arrives they can counter with new inovitave ideas that will make many people step back and think about what they've said.

We have a game and a community riding on our success, they have their careers on the line, they will not be sitting around doing nothing now that competition is on the horizon.

All I can say is that the fact that the I14 official features list, or lack of one, is revealing about some of the content that will be added to the Issue alongside the MA.

Its not the ISPs

We are attempting to do a Lady Grey and everyone in the team has had mapservers, rubberbanding etc all ther way through, to the point of ditching it.

We have also all experienced not being able to get back in and all different ISPs.

Its not just BT either, lots of people in SG and friends all had problems getting on at various points with various ISPs.

Add that to all the lag and banding etc lately and it points to ingame or servers or somerhing.

Absolutely. Even if tiny 0.1% of arcs would be any good, that's still dozens, maybe hundreds of good ones. Finding them might ber a problem though, look at any fanfiction site...

The only problem is that you are still going to have to wade through those 10,000 to find the good ones, and as it seems to be something like the Arena aracdes, that in itself will be a pain.

Before people say, I know there will be rated missions, but as far as I can see, what is to stop those still being [censored], but just having lots of friends or SG mates to vote for them despite that.

When they introduce custom maps a la NWN, then I may get excited about the MA. Till then.......where is I15?

Sorry but it just doesn't excite me in the slightest, I think the MA is a huge white elephant anyway and doesn't interest me, and we don't get into that anyway as we aren't American.

All of this saying nothing whatsoever IS having a negative effect.

I know people besides myself who are unsure about playing and some who arent on at the moment as they do not want to invest in their characters further, without knowing what will happen next.

They dont have to break employment laws or land themselves in doodoo just by saying things will be fine, bear with us.

The silence is just feeding the rumours and to be honest, backs up the fact that the customer support or service sucks, making the players feel really undervalued in this.

Dont forget as well, they have only just overhauled the EU websites too, so things may bot be as bleak as they are being rumoured to be.

Was gonna say, although I know their servers are in different places, it doesn't happen on other on-line games I play.

I also find that sometimes it seems to be certain places too. I find it is horrible in Steel Canyon, and the same in Cimerora, in fact it can take up to 5 attempts to get out of the cave sometimes,lol.

Ur right Sapphic, it also seems to be more on certain alts, my main especially at the top of my character list.
