Well, maybe not the lamest thing, but then GG hasnt posted yet -
I dont mind earning xp, I just dont like being forced to take it, particularly at low levels when its hard to try to get things done anyway.
Turning PATROL xp off is not a problem, but why should people have to turn off ALL xp for the sake of an addition to the game that I didnt want in the first place. -

Actually it is a replacement, you won't get random recipes anymore from TF/Trial after I13 goes live so it will replace the way TF and Trial Poole recipes were obtained.

Actually, its not a replacement, you can still get recipes in the AH, and if you read the I13 stuff, you will also see that with merits you can still get a random recipe too. This as well as the normal random drops anyway.
A replacement would indicate that you can only get recipes from the Merit Vendors. -

Yes, ED, GDN, the I13 PvP changes and recently reversed APP/PPP power replacements all pale into nothing as compared to a bit of extra xp you can turn off if you want.
Sense of proportion ---> that way.

If it was just turning that off, then i wouldnt have posted, but obviously you didnt read the post.
If you turn it off, it turns off ALL exp earning, at least thats the way the description came across. -

Saying this system is complimentary to the AH/BM only really works if this deals a KO to the stupidly high prices on Procs and globals. 11 mil, 20mil, 50mil...those just aren't options for a lot of people, and I just hope that the Merit system somehow helps that, and doesnt just make it a whole lot worse...

Hopefully it will, though purples will remain really high, which is fair enough, but the drop rates are sooooo rare. -
If I have read the experience bonus part of patrols right, they are now making it so that you either have patrol experience or you turn it off, but turning it off turns off ALL experience.
This is the lamest thing I have read yet. Why cant they just ditch the thing and leave it as it is, or just have patrolling exp toggled off.
Some of the decisions lately really seem to have been made by goldfish.

Out of interest, I wonder what will happen if you are on a team and do a mission that is the same as one you have?
Will it autocomplete yours AND give a merit to you as its yours too? -
I do however, agree that the latest changes after the patch suck bigtime.
Now all the stronger builds get defences back, unaffected heals back and no longer have the accuracy anti-ganking effect.
Yet squishies like my corruptor, have no defences other than heals which are still affected by DR......now that sucks.
So healers are redundant and spiney regens are back to normal pretty much.
However, I am hopeful that it is a work in progress. -
One of the problems with new people joining PVP is that they see people like yourself on here sayhing that PVP is broken with the changes, which it actually isnt, its just that you dont like it.
They also see elitism where if anyone says anything you guys jump on them. -
Well thats funny cos a lot the them seem to be saying they dont agree with you on this particular thread.

All non pvpers who now want to try out these changes as they think it will make them pvp come to RV on test and form some teams and second
All pvpers come to RV on test to show these people how its done .
I suggest this not in a big head way but only to show you that these changes WILL not help or make new players tak part in pvp the pvp community even nerfed will still have the upper hand due there skill you may then see what we are all talking about .
We want more people in the zones but these changes are not the way to do it

I am not a troll and I do PVP.
Sadly I obviously cannot be as great as you seem to think you are, but I do and I enjoy it.
I wrote this post because I feel that a lot of so-called PVP players are moaning either without trying it or their FOTM builds dont win like they did. ED all over again.
Oh and by the way, why on earth would new people join PVP? I post saying positive things about the changes and the vampiric PVP community jumps in and sucks the positivity out, God help any new person who likes PVP. -

Well there's this thing, its called the test server.
Its where the i13 beta is at the moment, and funny enough, everyone is on there, trying out this new fun version of pvp.
And if you think the zones were dead before this, have a look a month after this new rubbish goes live.

...What? I have an Elec/Elec/Elec and Shocking Bolt's one of my favourite powers both for looks and usage (No Tesla Cage. Heck, I cant even remember what that power's called). EMP was also handy on occasions, great when surrounded as it's essentially an off button for the bad guys.
This hurts my brain. What on God's green earth do we need Conserve Power for?

I also misread the whole thing and was hoping my fire corruptor would be able to get Fire Mastery or something which obviously isnt happening -
I will have to respec her now I guess, and get rid of conserve.
I hope it doesnt "autorespec" your power trays like it does on test too, its a pain to put them back in order. -
Shocking bolt is part of one of my characters and is a major part of my chain of attacks.
While I accept that changes happen and are being made to better the game, why on earth has this been replaced?
Obviously some idiot didnt know how to read what was being used and what wasnt judging by the US response too.
I want it to stay and do not wish to alter my character at all. Plus, she is electric, so why the hell would she want conserve power?!!!!!!
On top of that, my stalker no longer has his pet either. -
Let me say right away that I am loving the tribal shields, all of them. However, I have one problem with them.
I cannot find absolutely anything outfit-wise to go with them.
If I based a character tribally, there is pretty much no way not to look like I have just come out of M & S.
We need hide/fur options for clothing, or at least something to go with these wonderful shields. -
Makes me wonder if it was changed though. On the feature about day jobs etc it says:-
On Patrol
In addition to all of the Day Jobs every character is "On Patrol" after they log out of the game.
And now its On patrol is the default Day Job for players who dont log out from one of the specific Day Job locations.
Brilliant change though. -
I really like it. The look is sleek and updated, brings the site up to date.
The media section is a lot better and the whole thing runs perfectly fine in Firefox.
The only thing I dont like is the server page, as everything is way too big, though it wouldnt matter here as we only have 5 if you count test.
