Usually with open betas the NDA comes down, but I just want to doublecheck it really has been lifted before I start bragging up the power customizations to my friends via screenshots. :P

Hi!
Virtue had a huge map server disconnect and now the login server appears to be down, too. Are they down for everyone?
Boo hoo! Double XP weekend sniffles to a close.... -
The one thing I noticed on Virtue was that the Atlas AE building would immediately empty out every time there was a Rikti invasion. Even though the Rikti raid XP is significantly poorer than AE farm XP, everybody young and old was out there chasing drop ships, blowing up bombs, and gathering at the trainers to take down Rikti. And a lot of these teams would stick together and follow a new Rikti invasion to another zone if the Rikti then invaded Skyway, King's Row, etc. after Atlas.
If the devs are wondering what it will take to coax the AE farmers out of the AE building, they might want to keep this in mind.Even Giant Monsters don't pull the crowds the way a whole invasion does.
Of course, once Going Rogue launches, there will be lots of new content so that any whining about AE farms will be moot. Everybody and his pet who are level 50 will be out in space fighting Rikti and the newbies will be a'rollin' in the new neutral land, lol. Not to mention everybody will be rolling the new classes.....
(Are the new space maps finally going to raise the level cap from 50 to 60 by the way?) -
How often do the invasions come? Do they strike a few cities blue and redside every couple hours?
-
ROFL!
Jeez, and here I was figuring the Rikti ships couldn't pass their U.S. emissions tests and got grounded at the border..... -
Hi!
We've gathered up on Virtue, but the Rikti appear to be a little more than fashionably late.
No event announcements, no green, ominous sky, no bombs....
Wazzup? -
Do any of you think Going Rogue will help repopulate the PvP zones? I do!
Every time I ask about PvP in Hero broadcast on Virtue, all I hear about is how unbalanced it is. Now that the classes can switch sides, I bet you'll see a lot more villain classes fighting for Paragon City and vice versa.
And that will be really cool. I can't wait. -
I'm psyched to be able to switch my villains to the hero side. Brutes and Masterminds are da bomb. Now they'll be bombing in PvP zones for the hero side.
That should even things up a bit over there.

You will probably have to chuck things into your bank and carry the rest on you before you leave. Get everything off the market before you leave. That's the way EQ2 handled betrayal. One last questgiver warned you to tie up all your loose ends before taking the final betrayal step because you wouldn't be allowed back later. I'd guess that your personal bank will probably still be yours no matter what side you're on but you'll lose whatever is on WW's that you didn't sell before you changed sides.

OMG, I have been waiting for four years to betray every single one of my villains to the hero side! YAHOO!
I can't wait to hear all the details. This idea is mega cool. I actually like the fact that there will be a new retail box because it means Going Rogue will be even larger than all the free expansions. NC almost never charges for them, so it's about time really.
My daughter is gonna flip when she gets home from school.
Anxiously awaiting further details....
PS/ Just think about what this will do for the PvP zones, too! Everyone always complains about the sides being unbalanced; Going Rogue, if it really allows the classes to switch sides, will help that a lot. -
Jade,
Cold for Brutes was already tried and abandoned during CoV's beta, because it kept slowing down the mobs and interfering with Brute anger management. -
My husband started shutting off TD on his AR/dev blaster before he even left Skyway City for Talos-- he too claimed that once he 4-slotted it with to-hit buff DOs that he actually missed a lot more with it on than off. At the time, he attributed it to "faulty" DOs (and later, SOs, because the problem continued to plague him into the 30s and right until the launch of I6 when he quit playing) not functioning correctly, and he always swore there was some bug with to-hit buff enhancements.
It's funny to hear from other people that they seem to have similar issues with TD, though. At the time, I thought he was crazy because my energy/dev blaster, who fought side by side with him through Skyway and Talos, never suffered from the same problems and she was 4-slotted with to-hit buff DOs then SOs in TD as well.
Maybe I will dig her out of the mothballs and try running Herostats on her for a bit. She was all decked out in SOs last I knew and I haven't respec'd her yet, so this should be interesting. -
Stone/Fire, in honor of my now-deleted tanker.
I like this one better. -
Hi Statesman!
I love the positive changes to Mind Control and the new MA and Katana Scrapper animations. I'm happy smoke grenade got nerfed as well-- it was extremely overpowered. Even the Steel Canyon Outcast "blaster minions" are great now that we're not getting stunned constantly so we literally can't fight back. These are all cool additions, and thanks for the tweaks.
But L22 might be a tad low to start ratcheting up the difficulty level-- Talos Island is already pretty tough on my L20 Energy Blaster, the L21 AR Blaster of my husband's I team with, and our daughter's L18 Mind Controller s/k'd to 20. Because of all of the Caltrops and mezzing, even tweaked down as they supposedly are now, it makes for protracted battles with sluggish response from our powers (when we can fight back at all) and quite a bit more debt than before. We've really outgrown Skyway but it feels lately like we shouldn't be in Talos either. Not everybody is a power gamer. We used to be able to make decent progress without feeling quite so...stressed out. It's a game and games are supposed to be fun.
I hope that difficulty slider goes down a little as well as up if you do ratchet up the L22+ mobs....
Sorry, but that's my .02 influence. -
There were L8 spawns in KR right across from the T as you come down the stairs, last night around 10:30 PM EST. Of course, I don't know where they went after that, as my L5 Scrapper next saw the hospital....
