I heard speculation that logging off would not cause a problem, but quitting the trial would. Basically, if you log off, you're still technically a member, so you don't get flagged as having too few.
-
Why would you make a reasonable post like that when you could instead be an *** like the other people who responded?

It really needs that and will be a problem without it. Since it's a PB area and not a targeted area, then it looks like it's not going to be the fulcrum shift clone people were hoping for.
-
Quote:Flash Freeze should also have the problem; although, it is not an exceptional power to begin with.from what ive seen the only power this argument even really applies to is the single target sleep in mind control
i think most if not all AoE sleeps dont do any dmg to begin with so the proc would not even go off
Not sure how it would work with Blind since that does do damage, but not in the area that does the sleep. But if it turns that into an area debuff/damage power then that's an improvement. -
Quote:For a PBaoe toggle, I was looking for the dotted line symbol like they have in the leadership toggles, but you're right, they aren't entirely consistent with that.Farsight could be a toggle, there is no evidence it isn't and look at dispersion bubble's symbol, they're the same. so there is still hope.
Similarly, slower response could be a toggle since that's the same outline used on the Radiation toggles.
The big question to me is "could time crawl or temporal selection be toggles?" I can't think of any single target toggle buff/debuff to compare it to. -
There could be res since the symbols only show what they conside the primary purpose of the power. Plenty of attacks have -def with only a standard attack symbol. Thematically res doesn't make as much sense, but it's possible they stuck it in there somewhere (although, I would like -res more than +res personally if we're just sticking random effects in different powers).
-
Are those +150 points something you automatically get when you hit tier 9, or are they something you need to spend a reward token to get? I can't really tell from the charts what comes as a virtue of hitting level 9 and what is an optional purchase.
-
So, going by those symbols, we should be able to tell what those powers are to some degree.
Time Crawl - single target slow - probably the power that enhances other debuffs on that target
Temporal Mending - PBAOE heal
Time's Juncture - debuff, but not sure what that blurry symbol is - to hit?
Temporal Selections - single target ally damage buff - probably the power that enhances other buffs on the target - I had figured this would be a recharge/end buff
Distortion field - location based debuff - probably pseudo pet. Not sure what that symbol is.
Time Stop - single target hold - hopefully they do something interesting, because this is pretty high in the power list for such a mundane power.
Farsight - PBAOE defense buff - probably a mind link clone of some type. Kind of disappointed it isn't a toggle
Slowed Response - targeted AOE defense debuff. About as expected. Even if nothing is special, should still be able to stick a achiles's in there.
Chrono Shift - PBAOE team buff version of Distortion field - still don't recognize that symbol
The one thing I notice is that normally sets give defense or heals, but not both. Sets with both shields and heals normally have resist shields, so this looks like something new in that regard. That also makes me think the def won't be spectacular.
Also, it looks like a strong set for staying at range, as only Time's Juncture requires you really jump into the melee, and without knowing specifics, that might not be a huge problem or it might really alter how the set is played. -

Doesn't matter. The proc is a percentage as well, so the ratios stay the same no matter what your base is.

Quote:Separate game with completely different content. Not the same thing at all.Only three, eh?

That was what, six for MM, several for dominators, couple for stalkers and corruptors. -
I, on the other hand, payed $15 for netflix this month and watched, maybe, 30 movies - putting my rate at about $.50 per 2 hours. What people consider a good value for their entertainment dollar need not be based on the most flagrant wastes of money.

Quote:You notice that you weren't really able to give too many examples of that. There are three and they all happened in Going Rogue. The idea of powersets being exclusive content really only goes back a little over a year. Some powersets will be given to VIPs for free (Time Manipulation, for example). Some powersets will need to be purchased a la carte (Street Justice, for example). It's not really any different than it has been in the past, when you have to pay for Going Rogue to access Kinetic Melee, etc.
It was very smart of them to break that barrier back then so it doesn't seem as harsh now, but way too many people are getting this attitude that it's always been that way when in reality it is a fairly new addition to the game. -
A base table holds 100 - really doesn't seem worth it. Recipe slots I would buy in a second, but crafted enhancements already have adequate storage.
-
I'm just worried that they "stand out in animations" like DP does. In other words, they are overly elaborate and stupid. Street fighting would be great for some harsh, quick, and brutal attacks, but I have a terrible feeling it's going to have a spinning Zangief clothesline or something equally silly.
-
None of the DM attacks take advantage of the quirk of interface where it procs whenever damage is done. I'm guessing a double layer of caltrops could stack it pretty heavily not even counting what you get from other attacks.
-
It gives me a strong indication that there isn't going to be a "summon self" power in the set like a lot of people are hoping. If that were in there, it's the exact kind of thing you put into a trailer to get that "wow" effect.
-
Yes, that's why I couldn't tell which it was. But a gameplay scene where you fight a giant monster as it crawls out of the ground is different from a cutscene where one crawls out of the ground and then you switch to fighting mode where it stands there and plays generic attack animations like everything else.
-
Just watched it with the sound off and it was much better.
Some scenes were ambiguous as to whether they were play or cutscene (giant monsters doing various things). If they were play scenes, then it looks great.
They could also follow one scene for more than 1/10 of a second. It would make it coherent. -
Quote:Accept? Sure. Consider it a meaningful and important point? No.You can still enjoy the solo game, but if you can't get the new stuff, would you accept that the old stuff is still there to be had?
If new stuff wasn't important, I'd be playing Freedom Force instead of this game. -
Quote:But low population does 2 things. 1, it causes busy times to be sporadic. Yesterday I saw 2 ITFs form at the same time and start within seconds of one another. Monday I saw a BAF struggle to form for over an hour with nothing else going on. 2, this causes anyone interested in teaming to limit that to the busiest times when they have the best chance of forming something, making the slow times that much slower. No one denies that for an instant. The server list illustrates it for us every time we log in. But no server is "dead".
I have regularly logged into Pinnacle during my regular playtime and seen fewer than 10 non-hidden people on. If that does not count as "dead" then the word has no meaning. -
It's also the issue that they stacked the dot and the -res on the same interface. It is really the only choice to add more damage. The alpha slot did a much better job of combining a more diverse group of effects for each one, but interface basically says if you want damage, take this.

No thanks, I'm not a masochist.

Quote:Time paid for subscription in the past. No reason to believe it entitles you to any free stuff in the future. You should be glad they are actually giving you free stuff in the future instead of starting everyone off at zero. That would be completely fair, you know, starting absolutely everyone off with zero point.I've been subbed for 6 years... Paragon has gotten over $1000 dollars from me during that time.
It's silly to pay for one thing and get upset when they don't give you something totally unrelated. That is especially true when the product being discussed is a totally new offering. I mean, I've only been able to play my DP and DS characters for 1 of the 5 years I've been subscribed, a new player gets to play one for all 5 years they pay - how is that fair? Oh, that's right, it is fair.
Quote:Someone else can come in, spend half that, (a 3 year sub being about $540...) and get all the rewards I have access to and MORE (the tier 8, 9, and VIP). But why doesn't my extra $500 entitle me to THE SAME?
Quote:If a newbie can sub and get to tier 9 in 3 years, then I and everyone else over that mark should be there already.
