  1. I noticed another old bug reared its head tonight. Popped onto another server to check something and when i came back to my main one all my characters were rearanged. I wont be going to another server again in a hurry
  2. Two new ones for you. One of them regarding the new booster pack.

    1. If I jump while running about 30% of the time the running animation will continue while I am in the air.

    2. If you leave ninja jump on it seems to cause hickups with the animations for rest and the teleport temp powers. You jump back and forth between the animations for the power and the ninja stance.

There are a lot of great suggestions in this thread. However I have my heart set on a Cowboy Gunslinger so a decent long barrelled revolver is a must.

And not to sound too ungratefull can we have one a lot less blocky that the current revolver that is already in the game?

However as has been mentioned it is not just TF's that are affected. Last Time I was playing as part of a team we twice had contact given hunt missions being put on hold due to an event. Not an earth shattering problem obviously but a bit of a pain.
  5. Thanks Bright Shadow.. thats a great trick for us in the meantime.

And yes I too would love this option.

There's no need for that to happen. No one is suggesting the schedule has to rotate the full 24 hours. Just doing it over the 8+ hours their offices are open would be sufficient.
  7. I did a quick search and found nothing so I hope this isnt duplicated.

After logging back in after the latest patch a mate and I were doing missions. We were both lvl 35 and the mission difficulty was set to +1 x4. During a mission against the Crey, something about rescuing X number of hostages we came across two lvl 40 Boss PP's. The first one of which we didn;t have to kill to complete the mission so we just ran away from him. The second however we did and while we did spend ages getting him to half health (fortunately my mate was playing his stoney) it was taking forever and as it was approaching 3:00 am we exited rather than finished the mission.

Surely this is yet another bug? Neither of us have ever encountered this before.

Yeah I know that bad weeks happen. I totally accept that screwups happen and they need to be fixed. What I don't accept is that they need to do it at the exact same time each occasion effectively making things very hard for one sub section of their customers. Would it be so hard to use a rolling schedule so that mulitple regions get a minor inconvenience once in a blue moon rather than one section constantly being the target?

Look guys ... sorry if I'm coming across all bitchy and snarky. The old camel's back has just broken is all. My wife is away interstate for work this week leaving me and the kids alone on wed-fri nights so I was really looking forward to catching up on some playing after all the recent shutouts... and look what happened. Each of the blasted nights i was hoping to play has a shutdown... You can only inconvenience a client so many times before it starts to feel personal.

Half heard Lili. While the time of the maintenance is bad enough the frequency is the other half of the problem. As I just said in another thread of the last 10 times (counting today) that I've tried to play I've been kicked out early 7 times.

Oh you're bloody kidding me??? There's another one tonight? That's three nights in a row. And as it was supposed to be only the second full night of play since the maintenance change a group of us had big plans. Or rather we did.

It's time for us to start seriously reviewing our options. I'm not paying $15 a month to NOT play Coh. Do you people at NCsoft realise that counting Friday in the last 10 times I've tried to play your game I've been kicked off early 7 times? Would you keep paying for a service like that?

    This ^^^

Dev's the once a week maintenance is a big and appreciated step in the right direction but it is only fair to warn you about the growing feeling within the oceanic community. Over the last few months the number of patches and extra maintenance have taken an enormous toll on the enjoyment people in this region have with this game. In the past this has occurred between eleven or one am depending on the differring daylight saving so while it was an inconvenience it was not too bad as we still got a nights play out of it.

Once the shutdown times were moved back two hours this had a major impact on us. It was not just that we had our main playing night neutered but since issue 15 it has felt like we have been bombarded with patches and extra maintenances. Now this may just be a perception issue and it only feels like more because it occurs during our prime playing time but to the vast majority of the people I play with it feels like everytime we try to do anything that block of red text appears.

Now as a result the conversation of late in teams is dominated by several things. The shutdowns, the increase in the number of bugs that seems to be introduced with each "fix" and increasing discussion in who's moving to what new MMO. Hardly a team up goes by without people comparing Champions and Aion etc. And quite frankly Dev's most of the people I play with at the moment would be gone now and playing Champions if the game had turned out to be any good. And as for Aion we've lost more than a few friends to that one. Anyhow the upshot is your recent changes are doing major harm to this section of your userbase. Those of us who haven't left are cutting back on the number of accounts and most of us are trying out new MMO's.

The most frustrating part is all of us love the game. Hell if we didn't we wouldnt be so bothered by constantly being kicked out of it.

    Laser pistols??

Actually yes thats a point. It would be better without the gun-katta jumping around.
  13. ricktu

    Laser pistols??

Just a quick question if the dev's are listening.

Will Laser pistols be an option with the new blaster set? I would love to be able to blast away with beams just like the MM robots do. With colourable beams no less.

If not in Rogue can it please be considered for down the track?

    Thanks
  14. Thanks for the confirmation GF. My joy is a little marred by the fact that tuesdays is my other playing night and yet again our play is cut in half with this latest patch but the fact that (hopefully) from now on we will have an uninterupted run on Friday nights will make it much easier to bare.

And thanks again for listening to us. We know we are not the major portion of your customer base but it's nice to be considered just the same.
  15. There are also quite a few of us on infinity as well.
  16. This one happened to my son a month or so after we started playing the game. His younger sister asked if she could make a character on his account and he said yes but on a different server. She did so and had a fun time. The next day he logs in and clicks the top server as usual and instead of seeing his list of characters he only sees his sisters. The house is then filled with him screaming her name in panic abusing the hell out of her for deleting all his toons. She of course denies touching them and a big fight ensues. My wife and I intervene and I ask my son did he remember to switch back to the right server. He looked at me blankly for a second then looked very guilty and said "oops".

He had to be very nice to his sister for the rest of the night.

Absolutely. Having Friday night free of maintenance shutdowns will make a big difference to most of the friends I play with.

Thanks for listening to us NCsoft.
  18. Benird Thursday 4am in the US is Thursday night in Australia not Friday night. We are ahead of them but not by that much.

If the maintenance is indeed moved to Thursday rather than Friday I know a lot of Australians who will be very happy. Friday night is the one night most of us can get together at the same time and to get a full uninterupted run will be fantastic.
  19. I've searched so forgive me if this has already been mentioned but I played my ice controller for the first time in a couple of weeks tonight. And I noticed that my block of ice was now stunning the people it hits rather than freezing them in place. Or at least that is the animation it is running.
  20. We don't have seperate Australian servers. We play on the American ones. However the idea of them bringing down the servers in seperate lots has been suggested before but I've never seen a dev's response to that.

As to pushing them to switch to Unix servers I can tell you as a professional programmer that is by no stretch of the imagination a small task. There is no way in hell the bean counters would agree to that and frankly I wouldn't agree to it either in their shoes.

Oh you're kidding me right???? This Friday is the first Friday in months that we won't be playing and its going to be a maintenance free night? We really cant catch a break can we?
  22. There we go... unexpected kicked off the game in prime time yet again.

Look NCsoft.. how about a discount for us folks in this time zone.. or a free month a year. Something to make up for the fact we're the ones you continually choose to stuff around.
  23. Well last night was fun. We got in just over an hours worth of play before the servers went down at nine. Of course this time maintenance took well over two hours so by the time it came back there were only one other friend who was still up.

On the plus side though I was really getting into Aion.

I had typed a much bigger post but I ended up deleting most of it. They don't give a toss and I'm wasting my breath.

I would have thought it was better business sense to mildly annoy a slightly larger number of customers, rather than totally shafting a smaller number to the point where five year veterans are actually considering leaving the game. I've said this before when we've had multiple patch outages in primetime in the same week, and I've yet to hear a good reason why the Monday outage has to be at the same time as the Friday outage. I'm sure it's more difficult to do it this way from a management perspective, but frankly I'm not paying NCSoft to do what's convenient for them.

As it is I'm going to be cancelling my second account - not out of bitterness, but because I simply can't justify paying two subscriptions for a game that I can't access during a fair proportion of my playtime. Like Min, the next little while is going to be make or break on whether I stick with the game at all.
I totally agree with everything you just said. And I too have just cancelled my second account. Also the four other RL friends here in Canberra that I usually play with one Friday night are looking into other MMO's that can potentially replace COH. None of us want to leave coh, we love the game, however we also don't see the point in paying a monthly subscription for a game that so frequently shuts us out whenever we try to play it.
