Growth nd shrinking are iconic powers, no question, but i keep wondering how proponents would have it work in enclosed maps like caves arachnos and ornabega. my ice tanker, who is max height with wings, makes it difficult to see in caves, growing any larger would seem to me a difficulty for cameras, and a sever limiter on how large you could get. so while i totally agree that it would be neat, it carries problems that i can imagien would be fixable without a significant investment of manpower and the results would probably dissapoint most of growth's major proponents as being limited. sorry, im not getting water powers either though, if it makes ya feel better :P

    EDIT: oh and adam does get respect points for being a adult, rare online, but appreciated when it shows up.

    i also remember when there was no exemplaring, only sidekicking..that was a pain in the butt.

    i remember when you had to be the right level to play a tf or you just didnt play that tf.

    [/ QUOTE ]my guess is that tis an opt in thing, like teleports and ressurects. if you accept, you accept the result. hopefully they have fully vetted this for griefability because it could be annoying in the wrong hands.

    Umm, no. Champions ONLINE, yes. Champions has been around since 1981, much longer than the COH universe. (Hell, even Positron was a Champions character before he was a COH character.)

    I'm in the Champions Online closed beta and the Lemuria zone is...interesting... I'm not quite sure I'd want to see an equivalent in COH though. Still, if it leads to greater possibilities of the lore and storyline... Well, as a writer, I'd look for any excuse to deepen a story. So, chucking Atlantis out of the equation, I'll /sign this one.

    some have suggested that this was one way they could pull off the "incarnate" system. where you would at 50 take on some aspect and that would confer specific powers. I dunno, It could be done, but you get closer and closer to making everyone grey then, epics already give you a bit of the powers your at lacks(patrons less so, but villains are a little harder to define "roles" of than standard hero at's) any more than that and you might find some drastic balance issues popping up.

Im not down with atlantis, we already are kind of dealing with atlantis with the cot and mu, but for a general water zone, then i'm with you on this. we have been sitting on the coralax storyline for about 8 issues now, Id be all for lots of underwater stuff, gimmie a water themed at, water powersets, a water zone, a glass of water..yeah all signed. people can cry ripoff of lemuria all they want, coralax predate the existance of co by quite some time. jsut lets have it be a segregated access zone, not co op, a hero instance and a vill instance, with properly flavored missions.

Now, also consider though the infamous email survey theat indicated a new expansion was in the offing, and that one of its big things is "morality switching" that eventually allows side switching, so if you have faith in the email,which was confirmed as true by the devs, but was also just a survey so it may or may not come to be as stated, then yeah, it may well be back on

Yeah, im kind of surprised here, this is pretty balance altering, rian just got a very kind slot free-up, so cant wait for june to get mine.

    [/ QUOTE ]that was one thing i was thinking of and chatting up with a friend. there are other possible reasons. one payment cuts down on processing fees, locking people in during a very rough economic patch before they have to make prioritizations between gaming and food, and yes, the launch of more direct thematic competition were all discussed. but yeah, it does seem like they are getting a big batch of short term cash to maybe fund something that might be able to draw in a newer userbase to offset the long term losses of this. the new guy might want to invest in perception buffs, i smell an assassin strike

    [/ QUOTE ]i think it might be a mistake to see issue 14 as another issue, the vibe i am getting is that it will likely hit sooner than a standard issue, and may not impact the planned timeline of issues. it may turn out to be more an issue 13 b, may hit sooner than 3 months, and may be followed sooner. Just how i read it, it will likely be hard to put whatever was planned in i14 back when i13 was supposed to be just 13 plus the mission architecht, so i doubt they would try to stuff a fully planned issue(as it seems they are well into working on the next issue by the time an issue goes live) with the newly expaneded setup of mission a. perhaps someone who knows the topic better could confirm or deny this speculation.
