Also, if I had to guess, the new patch was for handling the demo that's being shown at SDCC.
Here's hoping for more news. -

Quote:The way it was described, it is a single power that has an effect determined by your alignment.Hmmm I wonder if "Summon signature" is alignment locked?
I have a Defender who went villain (by keeping other vigilantes/villains alive during their exploits not by initiating any evil actions himself) And did the first part of Ghost Widow's patron arc (I.E. he didn't betray her)
I like to think he was doing it all just to get a chance at warming that cold heart of hers.
And now he's back to full hero status he still has a Fortuna on bodyguard duty so that GW can "keep an eye" on him. I'd love to be able to buy "Summon Ghost Widow" without having to rotate to Villain again (especially for a consumable)
He could set up the base for an intimate dinner for two, given that he's Emp/Dark/Soul I'm sure he can rustle up something she'd find tasty
I believe it's a random signature as well, not a fixed. So your scenario, prolly not. -
Quote:Just like those jerks who kick folks from lady grey because they want to dance with the devouring earth during the pylon phase.Naw, they're a bunch of "I want my rewards NAO!" crowd and hate anyone taking one nano-second of doing fun stuff instead of damaging the enemy or buffing their team to end the mission sooner.
I saw one trial leader do the dance and the next time he kicked me for doing the same. Hypocrites, every one of you.
(not YOU you, Eco, just all the other posters whining about it) -
Quote:Unfortunately for Dumpleberry, the scene ends with Manticore groaning and shooting the party favor.*The Phalanx breaks down the door to a rumored Nemesis base. Manticore's bow is drawn and at the ready. Positron is glowing with barely-restrained radioactive power. Statesman hovers, cape flowing in the non-existant breeze.*
Statesman: *looking like he's ready to punch some poor dude through the face* We got your call! What's the situation?!
DumpleBerry: *jumping out from behind a crate cheerfully* It's my birthday! *blows a party favor* Fweet!
*The Freedom Phalanx puts on party hats. Manticore's is sparklier than Positron's. Posi pouts.*
Statesman: *grinning hugely and striking a heroic pose* Well, Happy Birthday, DumpleBerry!
DumpleBerry: *blows on party favor again* Fweet! -
It's unfortunately commonish now. Best I can suggest is hope the instance clears out so it can reset, or petition it in game.
I personally just remake the character and select 'advanced' or whatever it is from the first contact to skip that mission.
It sucks though, needs to be fixed. -
I prefer the large groups myself.
Mostly as the larger chaos is far more entertaining. -
Would like more information on the Enhancement Boosters.
How do they work in general? Is it just a level shift on the enhancement? Is there a limit to how much you can 'boost' an enhancement?
How do they work with special enhancements?
How do they work with purples which are effectively fixed level?
More will be revealed as time goes on I'm certain[after all, we should be able to figure it out once we can start using them
].

Hmm, and here I want to have it be able a quest to find a way to return my love back to life, but ultimately failing that joy but returning with knowledge that is far more valuable to my people.

Quote:Well, perhaps letting folks put 'farm' back in the name of their missions and improving the search engine to let you exclude missions that have farm in the name.Downrating without playing is something I'd consider bad. However, I do have a low opinion of farms within the AE. I dislike but don't mind those that are dev created. I'd also argue that farms are far more immune to negative ratings.
Well, I think the big million ticket question is, what exactly would be constructive and actually likely to work? SFMA and other tags have already failed.
There are other aspects making it difficult to find good stories, for certain, and really just addressing that one isn't going to solve the problem either. Especially when a big problem is demoralization of the player base. -
Quote:I like the idea that Statesman is just 'participating' in the counterattack like the rest of the Primal Incarnates. He's probably just running a BAF and you can't see everyone else in the
picture because it zoomed in on him and his quarry...
Cheers,

It's not like he's facing off solo-god-moding the iTrials, he's just smacking robo-faces. -
Quote:Think you're getting worked up for no reason then. Just because they're tabbing over to the terminal doesn't mean they aren't helping relocate the trash. What bugs me are the terminal sitters that sit at the reactor spamming the power cell powers despite the "WARWORKS PRESENT TERMINAL LOCKED" and leave it to a few people to try and clear the 7+ bots next to them.
The rapid spamming may be such to actually help avoid having to relocate an additional spawn. -
I dunno. I'm going to lean towards the owner pulling since there's still a HoF Farm up, which doesn't even really try to hide that it's a farm mission.

Hmm, how about a different wrinkle. If you're not the league leader on an open league, would you vote to kick?
-
Quote:To be fair, if the raid is failing, and you kick them, you just saved them time.If the raid is failing, and you're out there dancing--you get kicked.
I get frustrated, and would like to kick them, but to be honest, if it caused a fail, all I'm doing is saving them time.
If it didn't cause a fail, I come off like a jerk [not that I really care about that]. -

Quote:I really don't know. Preconceived notions I imagine. I believe they actually have said the opposite of that occurring on some of the Ustreams. Also why are folks assuming that we'll be getting new slots with the Hamidon trial?
Posing what I like to think may be an interesting thought.
Would additional different experience types be a better situation than different currencies? -

Quote:It's just episodic content. No, it won't go away, it just won't be new.Huh. So the Defenders are gonna take a hit. Glad that the other ATs are safe. :P
I still don't really get what the signature story arcs are. Is it episodic content released monthly? If so, when a new episode comes out, is the previous one made unavailable (except perhaps through Oroboros)? -
Quote:Ah you are missing the other thing the new currency did.This.
Creating a new currency will have the same result at it did this time.
It's a speed bump of silliness that does nothing to slow folks who are dedicated down and starts casual players at 0. It doesn't equalize jack s****. You still had folks b-casting with the +level shifts in a week or less.
And I'm sure you'll find a lot of people will think that it's not necessarily a good thing that this happened.
It made people do the new content that generated that new currency.
Personally, that's why I prefer having a set of currencies. "The New Stuff" and "The Old Stuff". There are other issues with that [especially with how the frame is setup in CoH] however, and I don't know how well they will get addressed. -
Quote:2000$ I believe.Dropping thousands of dollars to get a pop video made for your teenagers birthday doesn't really strike me as something people do "for fun"
If I remember the stories right, they did the vanity studio package because no legitimate studios, agents, or producers thought she was good.
Let's put it this way. There's a reason her voice is synthed to hell and back.
And I'm sure you're aware of folks spending more than 2000$ on a children's birthday. Especially in New York.
As a sidenote though, I'd suggest listening to pop music. Everyone's voice [including people who really don't need their voice 'smoothed' out] is oversynthed, it's unfortunate, but it's seen as a stylistic choice.
[ edit / add ]
But you know what. Sure, she went to a vanity studio to make a music video. It went viral. That's why she's 'famous'. Her voice was oversynthed, the song was trite. -
Quote:No, actually she became famous for not being famous. Is this one of those people who are famous for being famous? I think I'm showing my age...
For her birthday, she got a music video done at a production studio, just pretty much a fun song she sang and some production work. She posted the video on youtube [prolly for her friends and to just share it in general] and it went viral.
She got national exposure, and other fun stuff. This is a link to her second video, which looks like it's done in the same manner/light, and actually kinda cute reference to the first video's viral rise to fame.
It's [this should be It won't, me crazy] catapult the same way her first video did, but it's actually pretty decent, given that it's just something she's doing for fun. -
And another fairly massive patch rolled out today.
Fair bit more than the 450mb it looks like. -
And actually, the comedy is, all you really need to be able to handle those farms is an inspiration tray.
