Im sorry but how do [censored] ppl think any differently than anyone else?

Its quotes like the above that show its even more important for [censored] ppl to be out and active to show that we are in fact part of the same community.

Tbh I see no difference in having an all [censored] super group than having an all girl or all pvper or all French group, the fact that they are all [censored] is a mute point. The only ppl I can think off having problems with it are in fact bigots and why allow bigots to take away ppls dignity and identity.

As far as the word [censored] goes its an affront that the word is even censored as again the only ppl benefiting from it is the bigots.

I do know that [censored] lobby groups are in fact in talks with gaming companies as the typical experience of a [censored] gamer is bad with 70% experiencing some form of abuse. The only way forward as I can see is to be more open and allow for example [censored] super groups so other gamers can see that we are part of the gaming community too. In fact games like wow already hold a [censored] pride day online and Sims is also moving forward on these issue. I hope NCsoft and COX will start making the right moves too.

Why are ppl picking on G-A-Y Pride this is the one day in the year that G-A_Y ppl can go about as they would like, its a day they can be themselves in the streets and have fun, hold hands be a couple go shopping watch G_A_Y films what ever with out the fear of abuse or even violence, now straight ppl get how many days a year to do this ?If I was to walk down the road hand in hand in my town at best I would get abuse at worst arrested or even beaten. Ppl on this thread are taking their freedom for granted.

The so what about there just being straight relationships in COX is that there is no reference point for G-A-Y players, its as if G-A-Y players don't exist or have to be hidden away and be ashamed. Is just adding 1 hero or 1 villain really asking so much ?

As for normal there really isn't such a thing when it comes to sex and sexuality.

There are loads of g-a-y players in game and i have met a few i would guess there are loads that play and are still in the closet (icon). There is nothing i know of that brings these ppl together if there is let me know by pm pls

A few years back there was a group of us that would pvp in sirens which kinda made me lol as all the insult about our perceived sexuality were a bit ironic

1/ the term g-a-y being censored in the first place. I'm g-a-y yet I have to have the way I describe my sexuality in game and on this board, hidden or distorted. Do straight people have the way they describe their sexuality censored or hidden no they don't. I know ppl mean well by saying they are protecting me from bigots but trying to pretend I don't exist is even more insulting than any words from a bigot.

2/ why should g-a-y ppl have to advertise their sexuality? because straight ppl flaunt their sexuality all the time in books in films in life in general and in this game. There are loads of references to straight sexuality in this game but not 1 to homosexuals but then may g-a-y ppl cant be heroes? well at least in Paragon anyway.

By the way i have a g_a-y sg and vg but its just for my alts some of the alts are g-a-y by the way lol.

Well TY for the responses but they still don't really answer the question, To Jamieb I would have to politely disagree with regard to issues of sexuality in game because Manticore did wed Sister Syche which did flaunt those characters sexuality and i'm sure there are many other examples.

I do the LRSF quite often and its a bit of an in joke when ppl get to mission where you get the code and kill Miss Liberty that Valkyrie and Swan and sometimes Miss Liberty are/maybe Lesbians. Is this some how surreptitiously suggested in the lore ? Or said in the lore at all?

Not looking simple means that your not actively seeking something it dose not mean that your adverse to the idea of teaming if you are adverse to teaming there is a far better status to pic.

the same go's for "soloing" or "solo" if that's all you've got in your description your not giving the searcher much to work with are you soloing because you don't have a team but wouldn't mind teaming if it came along or are you solo because you don't want to team?

All in all if you cant be bothered to be clear in your message (remember tho you may be playing on a English language server it doesnt mean that the inviters first language is English and even if it is words can have multiple meaning dependant on context) don't get upset when you receive a tell asking if your interested in a team also as not all that long ago there was a great uproar over sending tells before inviting as its polite its just as polite to reply to a tell even if you didn't want one

I am sorry but who are you to say that someone who has soloing up isn't actually wishing to solo? And even if you wrote a war and peace epic in search comments explaining what you mean by the word solo, that some like you STILL says that person doesn't really mean what they have just written.

And it would surely also mean that people with comments like mine Looking for TF/SF aren't really looking for TF/SF but something completely different, maybe they are looking to solo ?

And at what point does "not actively looking for team" start to become "maybe not actively looking for team" under the same premise of "cos people forget to change their search comment".

Well I am at a loss, I just cant believe how such a basic action and deed can become so complex. To me its a given that soloing means soloing and I need not look any deeper than that and would expect others to have the same basic meaning and understanding/courtesy. With out those basic understanding you are looking at an invite teaming system that is in anarchy.

Search Comments:
"Not interested in teaming" describes your current (or past) actions, not your potential response to offers of other activities.
"soloing" would be far more accurate, if that is indeed what you mean.

Search Status:
"Not accepting invites", again, describes your current status. Not your desires or potential responses.
"Not looking for a team" would be far more accurate, if you do not wish any teams to look for YOU.

lol no wonder these people get rude tells back if they cant understand words like soloing and not looking for team. This is really basic stuff and you need to get it together. No means NO.

I play an ill/kin with tp the perfect build for ghosting but I will only do so if requested by the team, if the scrapper with SS decides to scout caves instead of me I let him go ahead and die then continue to scout/ghost professionally

Last week I was on a long tf with my empath, the scrapper and tank decided they would ghost most missions together however because they left all the squishes behind and needed to fight their way to 4 glowies as it was a co ordinate clicks it took longer as us squishes were left to deal with all the mobs. Whilst they stood at their glowie wondering why we were taking so long.

All people will do is farm Behemoths anyway!!!

I find far more elitism on the forums than I do in game for some reason. The people I met in game are so nice and understanding yet come to these broads and its like its a different game. I do keep my distance for certain names in case they start on me.

The zones on defiant are pretty empty but i have been in a couple of big fights mostly in sirens. Which is more than i have experienced in the last 6 months put together and i was teamed too unlike before.

Theres a few thing i like, one is the holds for trollers before i would cast a hold and it would have no affect so i would try and stack them but could hardly ever get them to work, if they did work and i did hold say a scrapper that scrapper was 9 times out of 10 way lower than me in lvl and not fully slotted anyway.
Now i can cast a hold and see my power take effect that was such a big wow moment for me, to see a power work.

The second big wow moment was on my sonics corrupter before she was ok but died alot, she was clunky to play and slow and did ok damage but nothing about her made me think wow. Now with her very slow attacks namely shout she is doing huge damage the long animation time rooting and clunky attack chain actually did something that i felt good about, yeah she still dies but she did do something too before she died.

Also i no long have to just give up and leave a zone if a certain build enters the zone at least now i have a chance of doing something and not just giving up.

Im really enjoying the new pvp in zones, when there are ppl in there, me and a few mates had a go in sirens this week and was well fun .

I tried out my empath and she was fine, she only has training ios and 1 hit attack yet she was just as survivable as she was pre 13 and as im not a rock the aura healer but more a think about who needs a heal and who can wait for it, diminishing returns i didn't notice it.

All i wish for is more good times in zones

Never enjoyed arena the testosterone put me off and that's just from the women lol.

Used to pvp every night about a year ago but now only very occasionally as the numbers of ppl just dropped. I wasn't at all referring to pvp mechanics but to the zones general atmosphere/use.

But as a now casual pvper in zones the only difference that I FEEL is that I now live longer the other changes tho huge changes didn't force me to think I could not adapt them.

I'm a fan of pvp not your enemy

I haven't noticed much difference, the zones still seem pretty empty, when there has been ppl in there they seem to be badging, when they did pvp i was accused of ganking even though I play a support toon, yet they felt killing a support toon in a one on one was completely fair, oh well, as more things change the more they stay the same I guess.
