*settles in to read document* ooooo, shiny!
Can't wait to read your reactions.

I wish to say things that would get me banned. -
Mastermind.
I hate direct confrontation, and prefer to attack from behind big beefy guys before running like hell. -
I've noticed Americans based in Florida are too friendly.
"Would you like a refill sir?"
"No thank you, I'm quite alright."
"Are you sure?"
"No no, it's fine."
"Are you sure?"
"Really!"
"I'll leave this here with you then."
"I don't want to be a bother!"
"I insist!"

... that movie really sucked.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yes Ted, that was the joke. -
Always up for IC stuff - red or blue it doesn't really matter!
-
Maybe I'm just incredibly dense, but how do I go about getting one of these? I can't seem to find any details about it on the website.

Stop what?

You're not high enough on the pecking order to cross swords with the answer. -
Right, sorry for the slow responses guys - had a lot of work the last couple of days, so I haven't had the enthusiasm to log in. I'll contact those who PMed me in the next day or two!
-
My pecker's highest on the order, so FU everyone who isn't me. Or Zortel. Or Floaty. At a pinch, Cassandra.

Rawr.
Was a lovely team last night folks - sorry if Jackie was a bit quiet or the like, as I haven't established massive amounts of her personality just yet. Also, apologies for poofing so abruptly after the event itself: lack of sleep has made me feel RAWRsome. -

What a curmudgeon! It's a suggestion. I hope it's taken seriously as such by those who might take action, and not dismissed in such a selfish and ignorant manner as Valkryst's.
[/ QUOTE ]
"I'd like the idea but understand it isn't massively feasible right now" is selfish?

They are not potential threats. They are going to happen.
[/ QUOTE ]
I find this statement hilarious because of how neatly it furthers Leif's analogy - the rival battleships were going to happen, but when they did it was nowhere near the level they'd been hyped up to. Massive amounts of money were spent on rivalling something that materialised with a mere fraction of its legend intact.
Maybe you should understand what people are saying before trying to counter them. -
Hey-ho.
Decided to get back to playing my Scrapper, but months of inactivity had made me forget just how little influence she had - needless to say I'm in desperate need of some to take advantage of IOs (I played her last about three months before Inventions came along). To that end I'm offering anywhere up to about 14 million Villain Infamy for up to 14 million Hero Influence.
Either drop me a PM or a global at @poptartfairy if you're interested. Ta in advance. -

we wont know. but it does seem to be nerfing season now.

If you ignore all the buffs, yes. -

No, seriously, take an example or two from WoW bosses.

Which then runs into the problem Raven highlighted - once you've learned the encounter you're straight back at the problem you were having before.
Watching Kil'jaeden burst from the Sunwell in all his glory and fire was awesome the first time. When you've learned him hough, it's just as routine as the current crop of CoX AVs. -
BUT THEY SLIGHTLY REDUCED THE STRENGTH OF FOCUS.
ALL IS LOST. THE SET IS USELESS NOW. -

And should one always believe the forum avatar?

Hers is a big headed blonde with a repetitive background that's painful to witness.
Go figure. -

Hero respec is too easy now...
[/ QUOTE ]
Presumably because you know how to handle it nowadays.
Borked builds should set the baseline of a respec difficulty, IMO. Not those who already know how to handle the things. -
All these moral choices can do is, y'know, offer choice.
Unless Nor Cal deliberately try to obfuscate the intention of a mission objective ("oh lols, sorry you saved that guy but it was actually evil ;D"), I don't think we have anything to worry about. We're massively railroaded as things stand now; I don't see how alternate options, on top of the current system, are bad. -
[ QUOTE ]
woho... Thread out of track!
How unusual!
...and I still HATE the idea! If this is how they're gonna "compete" with that other hero game they might as well close the shop, lie down and wait for that final terminal breath Monty Python sang about...
[/ QUOTE ]
You heard it here, folks. Variety and choice are a bad thing. -
[ QUOTE ]
Actually I often felt ME 'tricked' me into doing things I hadn't planned. I often chose a response when talking to someone based on the text example of what I was going to say only for the words that came out of my mouth to bare little if any relation to the tone of the example, which would lead the conversation off on a tangent to where I wanted it to go.
[/ QUOTE ]
Except for, y'know, the game making it pretty clear that the lowest options on the right were confrontational or pushy, with the ones on the left being expositionary in nature. They never said the dialogue you could choose was specific; it only set the tone of your response.

Well, that would be because Mass Effect wasn't about good and evil per se - it was pragmatism and idealism. You either dallied wanting the best for everyone, or cut to the heart of the matter and dealt with problems now rather than bleeding your heart out for some orphans standing in the way.
