I'll be teaming with an SS/Stone Brute for most of it, and her defense is hardly poor (which is why I've left the shields until so late), and the build does look as if it will hold its own in fights; even if the guy will be a bit squishy.
Anyone have some feedback they could offer? -
I know it's late notice, but you can remove Syracuse from the list. I'm feeling bloody sick at the moment, and don't really have the focus to contribute.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Oh and, I'd very much like to be in a team with Syra. In case that wasn't obvious.
[/ QUOTE ]
Although to quickly edge this away from sounding like blackmail....
If there are two spaces, then that would be great. If not, I'll pass for now. There'll be other times, after all. -
Sure, count me in.
Level 32 - most likely a little higher before then - so I'll be exemped though, if that's a problem.
Claws/Invuln Scrapper. -
Hit level 32 and respecced. Seen a significant boost in my DPS as a result, but I'm distinctly underwhelmed by Shockwave's animation.
Gonna slow down now, I think. Chewing through groups of +2s, but the "grind effect" is kicking in, and I'd rather not burn out on the game.
Fun, though. -
While that may be true, Kin, remember when the book is set; around the formation of the Phalanx, not "modern" Paragon.
-
Worth a read, definitely.
The Freedom Phalanx is, in my opinion, the superior of the two books (Web of Arachnos just irks me slightly with Recluse's near-constant reinforcement of a "Science" Origin), going into a fair bit of depth regarding Statesman, etc.
WoA for the history, FP for the story.
As noted above, you won't be reading them in ten years or so, but they're certainly worth getting ahold of for any fan of CoH. -

Doesn't holding it at the same time as GG kind of cannibalize the possible participants? I know I can't be in both places at the same time.
[/ QUOTE ]
Given how busy GG is at times, this isn't always a bad thing. -
I think it's around 30/40% though I can't be entirely sure.
Anyway...
Level 30 tonight and still powering through the enemies. Getting pretty excited as level 40 comes into view, I must say. Had my reservations about taking Invincibility - I've been fighting a lot of Sky Raiders and Family - but once I got into fights with Freakshow...rawr. All those people in melee makes me damn near untouchable.
Current record is taking on something like twenty-four Freakshow, with inspirations, and swaggering out almost completely unharmed.
I feel awesome. -
Yup, was a great time. Really enjoyable to see everyone running around with so much enthusiasm.
I'm tempted to poke people into doing this on a "regular" basis; maybe once every three or four weeks. Just a chance to get badges, or simply get together to hit something really, really big.
Given how quickly we moved onto other things - despite the original intention being one version of Lusca, and one alone - it wouldn't be out of the question to, say, hit Siren's Call as a huge crowd or go nuts in one of the other zones.
Either way, thanks for coming all. -
Awesome work, folks. Though it went a little beyond Lusca.
In total, we fragged the following:
Lusca
Lusca
Lusca
Ghost Ship
Eochai
Eochai
Jack in Irons (Special thanks to Stasis and the others who spawned him)
Babbage
Paladin
All in all a very enjoyable time. -
Alrightey then folks, tommorow at 8pm.
I say we gather just in front of the train station and go from there once we're organised. -

i have a lvl 9 claws/invul now , but i dont know if i should take follow up ? it looks like most ppl takes it becuase of the damg
[/ QUOTE ]
In my experience it's contributed a lot to overall DPS; I tend to use it as my first hit, then unload with the AoE attacks and other hard hitters. Rinse and repeat.
With SO damage enhancements coming into play, the effect feels a lot more substantial; I'm three-hitting yellow minions with it, and obliterating groups (highlight: taking on fourteen Sky Raiders at once, five of which were Lts).
I shudder to think what the character would have been like pre-ED. -
Alrightey, awesome.
I'm thinking sometime this Saturday, around 7/8pm when everyone has settled down after dinner. Is that too late for folks? -
OK, I know she's not popular, I know she isn't amazing, and I know she can be downright frustrating without the right powersets....
But, is anyone up for hunting Lusca at some point in the future? Both myself and Augury are fairly keen on battling her - so straight away I'm telling you this is mainly for selfish reasons - but if anyone is missing the badge, then this might be a good chance to get it.
What do you say? -
I now have SOs and Stamina.
I think Godhood itself has somehow manifested within Syracuse.
:< -
Odd question, but it's something I've been thinking about.
When it comes to "real world" events such as September 11th, the Iraq war, etc, do you consider them to have happened in CoX's world as well?
Just interested in seeing how people do with this sort of thing. -
Well, that went well. Thanks to everyone who attended, and apologies for leaving for that short period; got a massive headache partway through.
Look forward to doing Synapse next. -

For those of you who have been wondering about the Toons site, I'm still working on a few samples before we actually launch. But here's the first completed sample, a manga/anime style piece of Halley's Comet.
[/ QUOTE ]
Woah. That....that's kinda hot.
O_o;;; -
As long as you're willing to pull your weight in the group, I don't consider level too important, really. Plus - as pointed out above - there's no AV or GM in this mission, so we're not in any real danger to begin with.
If we get debt....eh, so? What's life without a bit of rough and tumble? -
Alrightey, folks. Ping me with a global message to @Syracuse if you're still up for this.
It will be tommorow at 6pm, give or take a few minutes for everyone to get ready. -
I imagine there would be people trying to "cash in" on Heroes/Villains, just with the sheer amount of them in the CoX world it'd have to be something pretty amazing to really stand out.
Along a similar to what FFM was saying, if a Villain to slay civilians there'd be a fairly big shock at first; but over time it would gradually "fall off" the media radar, and no longer be front page material. Until, say, that same Villain moves one step further and wipes out an entire city....
Fairly difficult to gauge really, but I suppose a lot of its subjective.
I'm currently toying with the idea of Syra's antics in the Rogue Isles - namely the murder of Arachnos personnel and destruction of several installations - being known over in Paragon, but again...that sort of thing happens fairly often nowadays (the deaths, of course, are arguable with Heroes).
Hope that made some degree of sense. -
Okies, fair enough.
I'll getting my travel power in a bit, so it might help if anyone else applying has theirs as well.
As a note, though, I'm going to nudge the start time back to around 6/7pm? It's a lot later than originally planned, but a couple of people I spoke to can't get there any earlier. -
Alrightey, seems we got a bit of interest going, heh.
I was thinking sometime over the weekend? Perhaps Saturday at around 1/2pm, depending on folks? -
Yes, I know this is universally hated and despised as one of the most boring experiences someone can, er, experience in CoH but is anyone up for doing this?
I've never actually done the TF - or any TF on the Hero side come to think of it - so I'm kinda intrigued as to what it entails.
