    I fully support this idea!

    /Thermal?

My personal beef with Thermal on Controllers is that when you're solo, most of your powers are basically worthless until you get you pet (if you don't take Mind/). I solo a lot, so I prefer it on Masterminds.

That said, however, when you DO have others around the set is a very good jack-of-all-trades support set. It has shields, heals, a rez, a Break Free, a buff, and a debuff.

To answer your first question, however, all the sets will work fine with it, but again, it depends on if you're soloing or not. If you're soloing more often, Illusion is a very good set. If you can stand the climb to 32, Earth is one of my favorites, despite having a highly-resisted primary damage type. I've also heard of great things from Fire/Thermal once IO'd out.
  3. Woo-hoo! Sign me up for the $40 pack!

Here's hoping the Alpha/Omega pieces are as cool as I'm imagining!
  4. So, why only War Witch? How do you know some of us don't stalk Synapse? (Or even better, Foreshadow!)

For such a progressive company, this reeks of when EA did their "Lust" promo for Dante's Inferno.
  5. Oh, I thought this was a Mega Man Battle Network topic. My bad.
  6. While it does kinda sting to lose to someone who couldn't even bother to RSVP, this is also the third time this contest has been run, and I assume allowing walk-ins was decided in order to more honor the spirit of the event/competition.

I was kinda bitter before, but actually PERC did a pretty good job. Even if they have no taste.

    Ha! So true!

    Also, <3 you, MP.
  8. taste is subjective, and just because you didn't win doesn't mean you had a bad costume. I mean, remember that huce costume contest the CoX staff held a while back? A friggin' comic book clone won the thing, and other clones were finalists.

What matters most here is that this is a costume contest, and the judges are probably not all professional fashion critics. They're people like you and me who tried to make a good judgement, and regardless of if any of us think their judgement sucks, they have a right to have a sucky opinion because it's their contest.

Personally, I'm disappointed that I didn't get a prize or mention and I think the Victory judges don't appreciate a sense of theme or of utilizing the costume system to create things that shouldn't normally exist. However, I respect their right to disagree, and am prepared to be proved wrong depending on who ends up winning the contest.
  9. I've been wanting to move to a more populated server for a while now, but not start all over again with all lowbies. I'm nervous, though, because I only know a couple of people on Justice.
  10. It was great to see lots of representation from our server, even that one dude running around in his underwear and screaming about his personal medical conditions. Good luck to all who entered!
  11. Oh wow, I didn't know that. That's excellent!
  12. Well, we do have some pretty snappy dressers. Plus, it's the unofficial GLBT server, so there's that as well if you play to stereotypes.
  13. I took a few of the suggestions and altered my build. It turns out, though, that Mid's allowed six 7.5% recharge bonuses in the first build, so this modified one no longer has perma-Hasten. However, it's only off by 2 seconds so I'm not really worried about it, especially when the Unchain Essence slotting more than allows for Ragnarok when I can afford it.

  14. I'd go for SR, it fits the agile leopard feel better. Besides, leopards don't heal in bursts.
  15. What would you change to achieve similar/better results for a similar cost?
  16. I was playing around with a Warshade build and I think I came up with something pretty cool. It's a high-recharge build that focuses on using Nova or Dwarf form (whatever is needed at the time) and perma-Hasten and perma-Eclipse but with only one purple set. Yes, it uses 3 LotG 7.5% recharges, but those are easier to get ahold of then purple sets, and slot way better.

Low-ish damage is sort of a concern, but I figure with double Mire it won't be too bad. Also, this is definitely not intended to be a leveling build, but one to respec into at 50.

How does it look to y'all? I was thinking of taking slots out of the taunt and putting a 4th LotG 7.5% into Vengeance, but I'm not sure where to put the slots instead.
  17. Earth/Ice looks like lots of stunning, quaking, freezing fun. I've been planning on making one, but I haven't fully figured out a costume/theme I want just yet.
  18. I noticed that there's no Archery love over in the Dark Miasma section. Where does that stand among the other Primaries when it comes to DM? I was thinking ROA + Tar Patch would be all kinds of epic, but Fire gets both Fire Ball and Rain of Fire and gets them way early, which really makes me want to reroll into Fire/Dark.
  19. I think it's actually time to make an Archery/Mental now.
  20. Sorry I wasn't there; I actually forgot about he event, and no one emailed me, PM'd me, or shouted at me in chat about it. I'm actually extremely surprised that I drew that much money, but now that I know who the lucky winner was, I'm not only honored but also blushing.
  21. I like to think of my Stalkers as "stealthy Scrappers with better burst damage but less HP."
  22. I took all the attacks except Nimble Slash. My usual attack chain is:

    1) BU + Assassin's Blades + Placate for Empower

    2) Ablating Strike for the -RES Proc I put in it, then Vengeful Slice for the KD.

    3) Sweeping Strike + Power Slice + 1000 Cuts for Weaken.

I repeat 2 and 3 until everything's defeated. Sometimes I do the Sweep combo (especially when on a team), but then continue my chain.

    New booster

There IS an End cost, I believe.

I'm looking at this power to be an alternative to Super Jump on some of my toons, much like Inertial Reduction is on my Kins. More specifically, I can use this, Hurdle, and Quickness/Lightning Reflexes to get around quickly, and free up a power slot. It's not an exact one-for-one, but I usually only use Super Jump when traveling outside of combat anyway, like most people do.
  24. Be warned about Hibernate and Cimerora, though. I have Hibernate on my DB/Nin and it's extremely easy to get absolutely surrounded by those guys, and thanks to the game mechanics, if they can see you once, they don't forget you.

I recently was on an all-Stalker ITF and I popped Hibernate to save myself from the rooftops. Literally 15-20 Cimerorans dogplied on me and kept plinking away at my icy shell, and as soon as time ran out, I was defeated in less than a second. >_<
