Stop it, you'll over-excite the poor boy.

I'm not sure that's entirely possible, but she's funny. -

I never use any of those...
Usually Debt Collector or Vengeance Bait.
[/ QUOTE ]
You seem to like the pain, so I'm surprised you don't call them something else. "A good night in" or something. -
You'll have to use phrases that don't explicitly use 'Blaster'. Like a 'BLASTING MAKES ME HAPPY' one with an iPod style black figure firing a gun with tons of shell casings and muzzle flare.
Because only you and your crazy friends say 'Blasty'. -

They'll get me out of this game when the last server shuts down, dammit, kicking and screaming like an angry, hungry baby.

^^This. Some games are just tailor made for some people
[/ QUOTE ]
Same here. I've said it before; I'd pay stupid amounts of money for an offline version of the game. Since I have, already, paid stupid amounts of money to effectively play it single player anyway. -

or go do something else

I got her! I got her! -
Don't be selfish, help me with my selfishness.
Seems circular to me. -

Aww, you're just a big cuddly fuzzy bear*! 'fess up!

Well I wouldn't really know to be honest. I make so many posts I subsequently entirely forget about, usually because of work, I could well be either a manifestation of pure evil or a saint. I don't know. -
I wonder how much the City of Heroes dev team and running costs are? Because last September, the most 'dire' one of course, and provided there's a general parity in supscription costs across regions (currency fluctuations are evil), the game made about a million quid based on the accounts that actually went online. So at the worst numbers possible, the game will make twelve million in subscription fees a year.
In the real world, the world where we're not using World of Warcrafts rampant abuse of human herding mentality to milk the planet like a money cow, that's a stupid amount of money. <edit by mod: removed inappropriate comment>
EDIT: This also, of course, demonstrates the strangeness of Blizzard as a company. They probably make the entire fortune of major Hollywood celebrities every single damn month and yet the company is doing.....very little. Relatively speaking. With that amount of capital behind them, they should either be funding a major military program or every employee should be wondering if he should slum it in his gold underpants today, or slip into the platinum ones. -
I really do hope it's the future. For every one powerleveller we'll be getting rid of another. A two for one deal, bloody marvellous!

I also take a hard line with the "it's just the internet" excuse. It's not an excuse. Anonymity makes it easier to be a dirtbag, it does not make it acceptable. I am frequently blunt, tactless and derogatory. I expect this to be taken into account when met in person, regardless of how much nicer I actually am in person.
It's not just the internet. It's still you, and you should still be accountable for everything you do. The refusal of people to accept that there is still responsibility for your actions on the internet, even if anonymity takes away your accountability for them, simply does not compute to me. If I don't like you on here, I don't like you full stop. Don't want me to think you're a ****? Don't act like one. Here, there, anywhere. -
Three blind invites and you're ignored.
It is absolutely incredible how often I have to employ this policy. Note that this isn't spread across days or months. It's minutes. Or seconds. -
Leaving the company for new interests? Yeah right. More like him and management looked at each other across a table and he said, "I should probably quit.", and they said, "We like your style Rich. You know how this works."

PROLIFERATE SUPERSTRENGTH TO SCRAPPERS! RARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH!
*starts smashing* -
What are they going to do? Firebomb the Warhammer Online server hub and erase Christmas and Fallout 3 from existence, before they singlehandedly solve a huge economic recession? Do they get a break in the middle of all that or do they have to tough it out until they're finished?
-
I was in WAR, but I didn't go beyond the initial month. It's a good enough game at its core, but frankly I was hugely disappointed with their choices of what to put in the game. I wanted to be a Choppa or a human soldier (not some piece of sideshow fluff, the whole Empire is not defended entirely by loner nutcases), and Chaos was yawntastically uninspiring as Tzeentch. The characterisation there was so poor it doesn't even make sense why they didn't make it a Chaos Undivided force.
Then Fable 2 and Fallout 3 came out, so I've been playing them since they landed. Now I've cooled off and going back to City of Heroes. This always happens, I can not log on for up to a month while I do something else but I never cancel my sub. -
How do you people survive without all the graphics options maxed out!? Aaaaaaaaagh! *claws at eyes*

Couldn't you use him as a live loincloth? Like attach him to your belt by his ears or tail?
[/ QUOTE ]
It would feel kinda perverse to actually use him as a piece of clothing around my funzone while he's still alive. -
What? You want one too? Get out of here! Bloody rabbit!
-
You can upset the City of Heroes applecart just by looking at it funny. By this point, too many people have cried wolf way too many times for me to have even the slightest care. At least they'll get eaten first.
-
Everyone with the current setup should get to keep it, and also recieve a unique to them 'Freak' badge! The text of which is, "There's something not quite right about this hero...."
-

And loincloths!

Well it's the only way Carnal Sin will ever get her own black version of those ITF Sybils outfits....she just wouldn't forgive me for passing that up.

Happy Birthday Sapphic Neko!
PS: I totally like you more than GG. Don't tell her. -

Also, do you think I would have been so rudely referred to if the poster knew I was a member of these boards? I think not.
[/ QUOTE ]
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! I'd be worse to your face.
[ QUOTE ]
Everyone is entitled to their opinion but I felt that Khorak was being a bit harsh, when you consider that he hasn't seen any of my other toons. Not to worry, assumption is a part of life that we all have to deal with.
[/ QUOTE ]
Why would I care about any of your other toons? They don't make that one any less of a name theft. Even more amusing is that it robs entirely the mythos of said character, (which is not niche, Red Dwarf hit eight million UK viewers) to the point people are defending it with it's catchphrase and responding completely to the charisma attached to the originals name. And yet they'll rabidly demolish anyone who uses the name of some other properties character, even when the excuse is so incredibly poor as "Well I love that character!".
No, I didn't and wasn't going to petition it, which is great, because the lunatic justifications of the double standard are a great deal more amusing to me. -
[ QUOTE ]
The only prob I have is that someone has the cheek to rip off a well known character from another game./petitioned
[/ QUOTE ]
You can't really copyright being bald, in a suit and wielding a gun, unless your name is also 'Hitman' or some kind of copy of his Codename 47.
What should be petitioned is the Ace Rimmer in there. Not out of any sense of legal ramifications, but more because people with such an insulting lack of inspiration and imagination deserve bad things.
