  1. Plus sometimes retailers on and offline have specials where you can pick up the game cheaper...Got my Going Rogue edition for $10 on Steam during a sale. (Had CoH/CoV already but for that price it was too good to pass up...lol)
And as others have posted, for the monthly price it's really cheap compared to a lot of other stuff.
  2. Actually, in my case i already had CoH/CoV still on my drive, but when the complete Pack with CoX went on sale on steam i just went with that and got my old account linked to the steam one. (THAT took about 2 days total due to some stupidity on my part but all okay now...lol)
  3. Due to work i only can get online for a few hours at night but hoping to get my MM to 44-45 (At 42 now)and gain a few levels each for my alts. Having fun either way

    Magic Store

As an aside, For natural origins there is a 35 vendor in Founder's Fall also. (Didn't know about the others so went there to get my IO's for my 33 scrapper.. )
  5. OR, The original owner of the name is sent an e-mail saying that unless they resub if on an inactive account, the name/s they have will be freed, (unless over 40) and a name token will be given. If they come back, fine and dandy, if not then the name is given up. Or something along those lines...
If already subscribed, then no changes.
  6. Actually, one of my first ever toons i made at the start looks pretty much like that Thermo-Dynamic pic, except i named mine "The Red Lobster" and is a cold/cold blaster.
  7. How about EM/Invulnerability? Have that on my mid teens brute and while it's not as "Flashy" as other combos, it seems to be holding it's own so far.
(I went with a concept way back when more than for the farming ability... )

What's a rare combo for brutes if i may ask? I like doing the super rare combo toons that no one likes...lol
  8. I do agree that a good costume just isn't right sometimes without a good name to back it up.
My stone/fire tanker "Tectonic" has the stone and fire look and looks like a walking rock and woudn't sound right as "The Pebble" or something like that.
I do have to admit i sometimes make names that i think are funny or keeping with the toon design at times.
    Examples:

    Creme DeMenthe-Archer/Kin
    The Heifer-(A literal Cowgirl)-SS/SR Brute
Fly Girl-Rad/Rad Controller-Has the insect look and likes to Bug people.
    The Salamander-Energy/Inv brute
    The Embalmer-Undead MM with zombies

My latest toon i'm still working on the concept but wanted to get the name if i could. Named it "Mission Completed" so every time anyone finshes up something my name will be there...
  9. Having got back into the game after a few years hiatus, i had one level 41 MM, a 32 scrapper and assorted alts in the teens and low 20's.
Currently i have most of the alts in the mid 20's now and added a level to the scrapper and the MM since i can't help trying out the alts.
I figure i'm in no hurry and will level them pretty evenly if at all possible and just enjoy the ride.....
As others said, as long as your having fun don't worry about the levels.
  10. I went Necro/Poison on my MM actually....Maybe not the best secondary to min/max in, but since i made it at the start of CoV i felt it was the best fit RP-wise..
(An undead former hero betrayed by her friends returning with her zombie hordes to exact revenge on those who wronged her called "The Embalmer")
So far it's not too bad imho...Probably could do a lot better in other secondary sets but as long as you have fun playing, i think it doesn't matter what you pick.
  11. With a few new exceptions all the toons i'm playing now are from near the start of CoH/CoV.
Left about 2006 and came back recently. (Real life is such a drag)

    My Originals:
Red Krosse-My very first ever toon and a 23 Emp/Energy defender.
The Red Lobster-Looks like a giant red lobster and is a 22 Ice/Ice Blaster.
Tectonic-23 Stone/Fire tank and made to look like a walking volcano with the armors and aura up.
Fly Girl-haven't really played too much with this one except to update the look but will get around to it.
Syndrome-Bots/Traps MM and currently on the way to level 42.
Classic- Lvl 23 Mind/Psi dominator and currently my favorite atm. (Eveyone loves a Classic?)
The Embalmer- My level 23 undead Zombie/Dark MM and has the whole undead look to it.
Illicit-Only level 12 or so but my pretty (But too young) Dark/Rad Corruptor.
    The Salamander-Lvl 10 SS/EA Brute..(Concept i'm working on)

Pretty sure i have a few more, but these are the main ones i've played lately. Mainly updated the looks and respecced most of the higher one's powers and enhancements.
Have a number of newer builds but waiting to get these up to par first before i work on them more..
  12. Mine is still pretty low level but named my widow after Clothos,
One of the three fates in greek mythology responsible for spinning the threads of human life.
Think it's a good fit RP wise...
  13. Thanks for the info and the websites! I played for about 2 years when CoH came out and finally came back recently after 3-4 years away. Gives me a start to relearn what's new since i've been gone.
My biggest surprise is not that i still had my old toons, but they still had all my old names.
Heard that they went away after awhile.
Would die without "The Remarkable Red Lobster" toon
So much to relearn but a lot is still familiar but confident i'll be long-term this go..
  14. The Archmage is also used as a contact for the level 30 auras quest if i'm not mistaken. Kalinda sent me to him when i went to her at level 30...
