I know it would be hard to animate the brain to look in a certain direction...but it look's a little off when your using your powers and you don't look at your opponent while doing it...

Odd. Comparing the two pictures, it seem's that each mac user is having their own problems with different fonts. I noticed that one word that showed up on one of the pictures didn't in another...


Still progress. Good job dev's! Get through that last hurdle so ALL (pc AND Mac user) of us can play freedom on live!

I am not weak in my Search-Fu, I found two other topics related to Mind/Earth Dom's, but they really didn't fit me...I'm looking for something solo friendly, but will also be a good assist to large teams such as Incarnate Trials. Can someone whip me up a build? I've got about 4 billion total saved in infamy, and a perma dom would be nice, but isn't required.

If anyone could help me, I would be grateful .

Is the GtX 485M any good? I'm assuming it's just a 480 with higher video ram. IF so, how will it run CoH graphics wise?

How are the loading times for your SSD? Also, anyone know how the the gtx 485 runs CoX?

Howdy, I have recently (within the past month) ordered a new laptop, and after reading a thread (http://boards.cityofheroes.com/showthread.php?t=251721) about graphics cards with compatibility, it has sort have gotten me worried. I was hoping if I posted the specs below, someone could tell me this: would it be compatible with CoX?

I'm going to be mature in saying, that the expansion is called Going Rogue, before anyone makes fun of you for talking about a color going up and running away.

This is something that ties into your account. I believe it is just coincidence that when you switch your card, this problem happened. Unlikely, yes. But graphics card's would not give off this sort of problem. Talk to support, and they will have this fixed in a jiffy.

I can't seem to recall one particular thing. Have all the booster pack's been in testing before they hit live? I can't put my finger on it (I'm not much of a test server person anyway.), but I feel that they have put them directly on live server a couple times before with only internal testing (probably wrong).

I am sorry to bump such an old thread, but I was thinking of this myself, and didn't feel like creating another thread for a similar topic.

Something like this seem's feesible then it did, say, before power customization came out. When we first asked the Dev's about changing the color and animation effect's of power's they told us it would be VERY difficult for many different reason's, and would probabbly not happen. Asking for a power creator back then would have been silly. Now, I think something like this could be possible, with some heavy work. Say, possibly after issue 23? A big addition like this would definently be a draw for people. You could even make it a paid booster pack, like for 20 dollars or something (I would TOTALLY pay for something like this, even if it was that pricey)

If someone didn't want to buy this, they could still go with the standard powerset's that come with the archtypes. It would also take away from the Dev Load; they wouldn't need to create new powerset's! Just new animations, and other small addition's they could add to it. Hell, they could make Power Maker Packs, or for a fancy acronym, "PMP"s, (Yes. I changed Creator to Maker for the obvious reason on how it would change the Acronym into something that was just plain silly.) that could be sold. Unlike the Costume Pack's, these don't need a theme.


Something like this, even with all the improvement's that have been made over the years, would take a LONG time, and need a LOT of work. However, I feel it would be easier to make and implement then say, 4 years ago.

For the longest time, Ive wanted the option of making it so a claw's scrapper could just simply open up the hand and remove the blades protruding from the wrist.

From what I read in this post, it is far from "simple" but it is something that could open up so many different styles of characters. Werewolves, Ferocious demons, etc.

I'm taking a look at that build. Not bad. Can I get a few more from other people?

Oh, I don't do any pvp. That isn't an issue. Can I get a build for PvE?

I have a good friend, who for some reason thinks Super Reflexes stinks in term's of building a good brute. He is a master of crafting brutes, and I am inclinded to believe him. However, I also want to prove him wrong. Is it possible to make a decent Energy Melee/ Super Reflexes Brute that is decent at 1v1? I wouldn't expect him to be as tough as say, a WP, or an Invuln, but tough enough that he doesn't face plant the ground instantly.

Could someone give me a decent mid's build for this? Cost of building him wouldn't be a problem.

Hm. Alright, thank you for the advice. I assume this also goes for Nvidia. Mainly, I was looking for something that can bear my desktop at CoH.

It is currently running 2 260's GTX in sli, and is only getting 10-15 FPS in CoH. It also has a 2.82 GHZ processor, not an i-3/5/7 (older Quad Core).

Anyone have any idea if their will be graphical updates soon for Laptops that will be able to handle CoX on max?

Edit: Ive been looking at other laptop builds. While I dislike Nvidia for multiple reasons, several places are offering GTX 460M's. Not sure if these are any good, just wondering.
