Those were both gettable; but you need to have been a paying customer for that long before freedom. They should have been gettable even after that, but something glitched for most people- not everybody- so even if you had the time they frequently didn't award. 7 year vet is fairly common for people who have been playing since the game started, and a few people have 8.

Llydia: Wow, that's an impressive list. Thanks for posting it, I've never seen it shown quite like that.
  2. YAY, Snow! It just wouldn't have been right for you not to be in the club.
  3. And I've gotten myself into the double-done club: Both Professor Eviella and Ancient Blade will go out with 1395 badges. Ancient Blade is missing the same 5 as the Prof: 7 Year Vet (Bugged), 8 Year Vet (Joined too late), Passport (obvious), Bug Hunter (obvious), and Celebrant (Joined too late).

My congratulations to everybody else in the club, and my thanks to everybody who helped me get there: It's been a heck of a ride.
  4. I will temper my expectations, Zwillinger. But an important source of hope just went from Zero to Non-Zero, no matter how small that might be it's still an infinity% increase.
  5. This thread is for those of us who, now that we've gotten the bad news, have no new badges to get and now never will. Let's celebrate those of us who were crazy enough to get every single badge we could!

Professor Eviella, 1395 badges. Missing Celebrant (on a villain), 7 and 8 year vet (joined too late/ badge was bugged), Passport (not on Euro servers), and Bug Hunter (no devs left to reward it to me at this point even if I find something).
  6. I've got the other thread bookmarked, and will keep following this. I am not exactly wealthy but could throw something at this if it looks like there's a real hope- and you're the first person with something that resembles a real plan, other than "can we do something".

Also, win or lose, thank you for TRYING so quickly! I think a lot of us need that.
  7. If I understand correctly there's nobody left to give it to us...
  8. When I did it recently on my second badger I just grabbed the heavy, then went to the nearest neutral pillbox and let the pillbox shoot me; I was normally dead before the heavy caught up. Then repeat, repeat, repeat.
  9. 1400 is theoretically possible already. You would need to be a hero (for Celebrant), who has been playing since close to launch (8 year vet), who had moved to the Euro servers (Passport), and who found a major problem with the game (Bug Hunter). Add in the bug on the x year vet badges, and nobody is there yet officially. Some people will show up at 1400+ by using X times the victor, though.

I suspect we'll get a 1500 badge badge before too long, even if it takes a while to be earnable.

    The Done Club

Whisper really does have a first rate channel for trials going, doesn't she?
  11. I've been on a team that got Hard Way more or less by accident as well. I think part of that is the sheer level to which we've been forced to apply overkill when the lights were broken; now that's its fixed some teams just have everything ready to go.
  12. Virtue just had another successful run, this time with 23 Corruptors on the team.

I don't think we need to be that picky on teams in the future, but Corr's REALLY help on the latter half of the fight.

Well, on virtue a league of 23 Corruptors and 1 scrapper just got it. Pretty darn well would be my answer. :-)

I want to disagree completely on this one, depending on your plan. On our run we won by very carefully waiting until 5 minutes were left so we had a second coordinated lore push at 5 minutes left. I will grant that, baring something like that, if he holds relatively steady for more than about 3 minutes you're probably out of luck.

If you're spending part of your monthly stipend to get them, is it "real money" or is a bonus you get from what you're already paying for VIP status?

I don't consider those points real money, I would not have actually paid to get points to buy them with. But I freely recognize everybody has their own view of where that falls.

More generally, to get Really Hard Way you need to throw a ridiculous amount at Tyrant. Exactly what form that will take will vary from person to person; I doubt Team Insps are absolutely required but they're definitely another useful tool in the box.
  16. I like to think my MM helped! It's worth noting that while we were heavy on the Corrs- and team make-up definitely did matter- it wasn't absolute.

One thing worth mentioning is Team Inspirations; I don't know how many were used in total but we had a lot on my team. I definitely used several.

Also, while you don't need to be 100% obsessed with the league make-up, I do think you need to insist on everybody having +3 level shift unless they bring something else amazing to the table. Even with that, everybody will be -6 to Tyrant, or -5 with Ultimates. Even if you do well on the earlier part of the fight you really need everybody to maximize their chances.

Communication is key, as well. The make or break moment for us was when we held the Lore Pets for our final push; that involved keeping everybody focused for 10 minutes when his health bar was relatively constant and making sure those with 10 minute recharge didn't drop their pets early.

This one definitely takes a well-coordinated, high-powered team. Which, of course, is the intent of the badge. I think, while difficult, it's relatively low on the luck factor, unlike Keyes, for example.

I can't thank Dogma enough for having lead us to victory on this particularly tricky badge!

And I'm back into the Done Club. Since I started late (and redside) I'm only at 1385; but I'm good until the Summer Event!
  18. I'm pleased to announce Virtue just had a successful Really Hard Way run. :-) Thanks to everybody on that league, it was awesome!

His daughter is a writer on the show, according to a quick check of the internet; and we know how infallible that is. :-)
  20. I've gotten a second alt into the 1300 club finally, although in a fit of "I'm only bothering with one badger now that we have side swapping" they're missing some of the event badges still. I hope to get them into the Done Club by the end of the year, though. :-)
  21. Got in a few badges ago, I'm at 1304 right now.
  22. Same issue here; seems to be slightly more frequent going into missions than zones but that's not absolute. 5% bar on the white screen and mostly need to restart game.

Just fine once I'm in the zone.

    George RR Martin

I think he's said that the Wild Cards rights can sometimes be confusing. Don't ask me how much I paid for Death Draws Five...
  24. How about 50 A-merits for the anniversary badges? One argument- both pro and con- to that is it would be a VERY small group of players who would bother with that time and cost investment to get them. I would on my main, and I'm sure a few others would, but for the most part it would be only the most obsessed badgers who would bother.
  25. I don't think they were, but I was so excited to be on a TF with a Dev that I forgot to check! I did think to look at badges, but that's just me...

I already said it, but a huge thank you to Ghost Falcon for sharing his time and Ice Wall for letting me join the TF!

And now I've got a little time to mess with peoples heads with my "Master of Ghost Falcon Task Force" yellow title. :-)
