    Keep DCing

Just got a new computer and for some reson when ever a window pops up, like when ever you unlock a contact or talk to some of the NPC's in the newer missions the game will crash and I will have to relog in from my home screen. Has any one had this problem or would know how I could fix it?
  2. I tossed this build together, note I have never played BR so I might have that part a little messed up but I do have a traps corr. Since it looks like money is no problem I tossed the LotG's in and a purple set.

Yes I know is doesn't have caped DEF but its the same DEF my traps has and I have no trouble staying alive. Also if you are worryed about your DEF use Power build up before you go in to lay down your traps.

  3. KB's have random people in them and people still die. -.-
  4. I'v played a few Gravity trollers and I'm not sure where you all are getting the "not enough control" from.. never found it hard to lock down mobs, or to mob them up for AoE with wormhole (and telling ppl with a macro you are going to use wormhole and to where you are going to TP the mob helps every one).

Other than Dimenshion shift I don't have any thing bad to say about gravity. Oh and remeber sigy is a mini troller also.

  6. As the title say I was wondering would Gravity be better for a Troller if I pair it up with TA or some thing or would it be better off on a Dom?
  7. I would go the DEF path scorpion shield + Darkest Night is amazing.

Power boost is also nice for the heal but also when it goes off the -to hit in DN and the Def. that scorpion shield gives will also jump up for the 15sec that it is up, and it will be up perty often.

(I would also take Provoke for any thing thats a Boss and up.)
  8. With every one saying brute's and scrapper's I'm have to ask have you looked at MM's?

I have a Merc/Dark an he solos every thing, minion-AV/GM. An you do clip though missions faster than you would think.

    Blood and gore

If blood isnt over the top ya it can work in a MMO. But I'ma still jump on the "no train" with a few others.

I prolly am not supose to post this be eh. If you realy want a MMO with blood heres a clip..

  10. It seems that people that like TS don't like the fact that who ever they are trying to take down can, would get away from them if it wasn't for TS... when I started on Vic there was no TS/HD and I for the life of me can't think off the top of my head any villains that I could never catch(that and it was a long time ago), and I use to play a MA/WP scrapper and all I had was SS. There are so many powers to make it so whoever you are trying to kill can not get away or make it much harder, and since going rouge has come out there are even more power choice that EVERY AT can take that would be better for catching people than TS if TS was to be fixed/removed.
  11. Merc/Dark, was my first vill I made when CoV came out and like was said before it's my go to toon for new content, or when I feel like soloing AV's and GM's

For instance me, I'm a hardcore underdog PVP person. Without even knowing I'm doing it I gravitate towards weakers sides/classes and play them. I won't ever go for something USELESS, but I LOVE proving how underrated classes/sets/sides are and I LOVE a challenge. When you have to cherry pick what to play just to even realistically attempt to contribute I check out. Many others would check out before me. Some will love being X or Y uber class, some will stubborn through no matter what on their specific games.
i13 killed the underdogs and non-FOTM builds from ever having a shot at PvP. It also took a nice chunck out of playing with a strategy.

I use to love playing my Cold/Ice fender(with fly) in SC on Vic but after i13 I did no damage, I can't slow a thing and I was running for a respec hoping there was some way to fix my toon with out wiping it away and rerolling. guess what... it's a Dark/Cold corr now...

  14. Traps has almost every thing going for it, Acid mortar for -DEF and -RES I have 2-3 mortars out at at time mostly 3( thats -60% RES and DEF before achillies heal proc goes off). FF generator is one of two sets for MM's that gives Mez protaction, that and it gives nice +DEF to all slap it together with another DEF shield like Scorpion Shield and your at almost 40% S/L DEF and thats with just SO's.

Next up would be triage beacon, not much to say on it it's a mini RA that I really only use for AV's and its easy to have two up at a time for about 600% regen for every one in a good area around it. It also goes great with your high DEF.

Next is prolly my fav. power in the game Posion Trap, but a Lock Down chance to hold proc in this( I use the whole set) and you can lock down every mob you come to. On top of that it has massive -regen(1000%) and its no trouble to get 3-4 of them on a AV at one time, mostly stopping a AV's health from every going back up. It also has a little -rechrg on it but that doesnt relly matter.

Last but i guess not least would be the trip mine and detnator. I don't use either of them cause of the KB on trip mine(last thing i want is mobs NOT standing in range of posion trap and Acid Mortar) and detnator cause the rechg is so long and if you get into the mob quickly you can hold them before they kill your pets.

So why is traps so good, I'd have to say cause there really isn't stand out bad powers. It runs great with just SO's and can walk on water and do magic hat tricks with a bunny if you put IO's into it.

PS: yes I know I didn't cover every power in the set cause web nade and caltrops you are forced to take and seekers I never take.

Yes to the first part but think about the second.

    You would ?

Think about this. If people bought into the idea it would just encourage them to make more crappy content that people don't like and then for a price you can pay to avoid the crappy content. It turns doing a lousy job into their most profitable mode of operation.

Heck you have positron saying already that they don't want to make solo incarnate content because then the people who like trials wouldn't have anyone to play them with ? WTF what kind of cognitive disconnect is going on there that he can think its ok to force his customer base into playing this stuff ?

Get back to the drawing boards and come up with Itrials that people find fun and want to play
There will always be people that will want to run iTrials and TF's, I still do ITF's and CoP's from time to time. But the devs wouldn't be forcing any one to buy them, yet they force you to grind iTrials for hours to get Incarnate powers. Just cause the option would be there doesn't mean every one would use their points for it. I'm just saying if the option was there I would use it cause I hate doing itrails.

How can the devs take you guys seriously when all you can do is scream and call people names?
For years the Devs havent listented to those that have been PvPing since i4 when PvP sarted and know what things should be tweeked but go off and do thier own thing and add crap that does nothing positve for the PvP comunity. If you want a list of resons more than "bad mechanic" there are 100's all over the PvP formers, starting with a polite sticky list at the top of the Forms.

An as for why "every one sounds angry" is cause time and time again PvP has been but on the back burner so the Devs and make more crap costume pieces and a Walk power (cause that a game changer).

FYI: I see you getting a bit of back lash for this comment.
  19. Taunt, web nade, web envelope. all work for melee fighters before i21 when fighting ranged, so you don't need TS to kill some one. We got kills before TS was ever around and that was before they added the -range to taunt.
  20. I changed to Soul mastery, got a few more slots in BU and dropped Burnout.

  21. Since Freedom is now out I thought I would reinstall the game(and have a new computer) and head back to RV, I made this build for spines/EA but it seems like something is missing. Wouldn't mind if some one could tell me what I'm missing or should change.

    Traps/Dark/?

Make sure you put the Lockdown chance to hold proc in Posion Trap. It works magic, I run into mobs with or before the Tank and can lock the mob down BEFORE the troller/doms do. But I went with Power Mastery for the power build up and for Temp. Inv since my DEF is caped any way.
  23. As it was said before this could work if you are a vigl/rouge. They could prolly get it to work, but you have to remind yourself. This is PvP the devs don't read forms that have to deal with PvP. Besides we are still holding out that they remove HD, TS, DR so I would put this low on any patch list.

But yes from a PvP stand point I know what you mean, and I wouldnt mind if I could change sides for fights in RV when the bases are camped.
  24. Could go four Fire/Rad trollers... It worked great in I0 and still holds true to this day
  25. I would say go with DP/Traps. I have one and I love it for PvE, but I will warn you that you will prolly be looking at getting Cardiac if you go this path cause DP/Traps eats endo.
