That's two whole things.

An equivalent Tanker can only do one of those things. This is not okay.
Tankers should not be prevented from soloing, but the AT should not be judged on it as that is not what they are for. Brutes and scrappers are designed for soloing, tankers are not.

I'm not saying that brutes are not overpowered and don't need to be nerfed. I'm just saying that tankers role is not soloing.

  3. Or a mix of which content?

I.E. Sutter, Yin, SSA1, Magi, Faultline arcs, DfB?

I have to go with the SSA1 as a template for future content.
    1. a series of short arcs, so the time for each bit is reasonable
    2. can be soloed or in teams - but counts as a tf for keeping teams together
    3. custom maps and content so they feel special
    4. rewards built into the arcs rather than tied to some crazy accolade

I don't like the arcs being divided so much by levels - playing arc1 at 20 and then having to gain 20 levels to finish is lame

I could use shorter dialogs in some sections

and I'm not commenting on the actual story - just the format of the content.
  4. if you are soloing a tanker you are doing it wrong, simple as that

    tankers are for teams
brutes and scrappers are for solo

heal other is a useless power when soloing, that does not mean it should be removed or altered

    I enjoyed that, ironically
  6. always take taunt on my tanks
I put in the proc with the disorient chance so it's not always just aggro control

distracting foes is common in comic book teams

but I would like to see confront be a single target "mark". Scrappers would confront a tough foe and get bonuses against it, but could only have one foe confronted at a time.

give it the flavor of picking your target and dueling
  7. I've added a bunch to this, I hope people are playing these.

It has a very different feel from any normal string of missions in that respect.
    This

I find that arcs and missions that attempt to tell stories are just annoying on teams. Clicking 5 glowies on a mission is something to do, but the team doesn't want to stop and read clues.

Being 'less awful' than some others is no recommendation...all the Phalanx TFs badly need makeovers along the Positron line.
    I respectfully disagree, sir.

I concede that it is similar to running a string of random newspaper missions.
I concede that it takes longer, but a little over an hour is reasonable for a task force.
I concede that it requires leaving the zone, but I do not see that as being an issue in a task force, especially for characters of that level.
I concede that it includes a number of street hunts, I believe that number is 1.
I further concede that "fun" is a subset of "less awful" compared to things that are not fun.

But I return to my main point that it is fun.

I enjoy running a string of random newspaper missions on a team. I suspect that a large number of players do as well, since I join them in teams doing it.

I therefore put it to you, sir -
are you saying that doing a string of random newspaper missions for an hour is not fun?
are you saying that having to switch zones eliminates the fun?
are you saying that having to defeat 25 Crey in a zone is not fun and eliminates the fun?

I give the remainder of my time to the goat from the nether
  11. Going through the tf's. After the new ones, Synapse is horrible, Citadel is bad.

But Manticore was actually fun. A few defeat alls, then we could just hunt down the boss. Took 1:07 to do, not bad. It's all crey but I hadn't fought them in awhile so it was fine.

Definitely put Manticore last on the list to revamp.

  13. I almost never make a true superhero costume, I make characters that are cowboys, jesters, or others that happen to be superheroes.

    WWI Pilot

Undead Cowboy with a skull head

Skinned Cow version of Undead Cowboy

    Indian

    Southwestern Indian

    Gypsy

    Ringmaster

    Jester

    Celt

    Voodoo Priest

    Deep Sea Diver

    Cyborg Scientist

    Armored Cyborg

    Dwarf

    Jet Pilot
  14. the strongest powerset is radiation emission
  15. this game will never be as cool as Carmaggedon or Carmaggedon 2.
    no game ever will

  18. So someone (meaning Arcanaville) do the math.

    Assume
    a lvl 50 IO'd but non incarnate NRG/NRG blaster
a +4/x8 spawn with an average breakdown of bosses, lts, minions.
    all attacks hit
    average resistance on foes
if the stealths up and starts with a nova, which, and how many attacks does it take to wipe out the spawn in i24?
  19. I would trade my entire blaster secondary for freezing rain

Then I could be a ranged blaster with good survival

    I want katana on tankers

I join PuG tf's all of the time. They are not assembled by the lfg but they are just whoever asks to join.

I do see itrials with demands like +3 only. But I avoid itrials and those players like the plague.

    yes
  24. obviously we don't know everything fixed in i24, but it seems like an amazing amount.

ignoring zone revamps and other new content, what is left to fix?

teleport is still a pain to use so largely ignored

the introduction missions (talk to KR hero corps agent) should be removed (since Twinshot replaces them), and probably the defeat X missions (especially the ones that send you to hazard zones)

    a couple of MM powersets

seems pretty close to being not perfect but good enough in just about everything
