Pretty impressive! Nice work.
What's crazy is how eerily close my build is to your non purple build, just a few slot and power differences, hmmmmmm.

Here's an updated build that falls just below the Ranged def cap, but has some decent recharge. I took a deeper look at some other builds, and meshed them with my own.

Quote:No, I completely understand what you're getting at, so I'm glad to hear it. I definitely see how giving up that much recharge in those 2 powers can be a hard blow. Got any ideas on what to replace PotT with? You state that your intent was to soft-cap ranged def. This is "what i think". I know soft capping to a position is all the rage. I don't buy into that, especially not at the expense of your core capabilities. Where a Cold Dom shines is Sleet and Heat Loss. Pacing of the Turtle provide pathetic recharge so these two key powers are, to be brutally honest, gimped with that set (21.2% recharge).
Maybe you want to blast away in safety, if so, mission accomplished. If you want to be a strong /Cold, I think you've got some more work to do. -
-
I was looking to IO out my Dark/Cold who is sitting with SOs still, and I looked at a couple /Cold builds and tweaked them to get soft capped ranged def. Tell me what you think.

Pretty sure that's it at the moment, as of Sunday, December 6, 2009. -
So does this mean I can throw snowflakes and instantly have my broadsword in hand? I mean, that's huge and game breaking....
-
-
Thanks for the input. I'll go ahead and stick with my BS/Nin, since I just hit SOs. But I'm finding myself really enjoying playing stalkers, so I may just roll a MA later on.
-
I've got a new stalker currently at 19; BS/Nin. But I'm debating rerolling as MA/Nin or /SR. I enjoy the MA animations and know it's not the best per se, but still quite effective.
Anyone have any thoughts to share or experience with BS, to give me some food for thought on keeping on, or starting over? -
Invul can be a pretty stout choice, and you can easily set the FX to minimal to take any kind of glow away if desired. It also goes well with the Aquaman based theme, as he was/is durable and has a healing factor.

I don't use Nukes, they're a waste for me, and with my playstyle the regular use of Inferno actually brings my dps down over the course of a mission.
They're pretty and showy, but ultimately I feel they're not worth it.
[/ QUOTE ] I'm just the opposite. I nuke every chance I get. Though I do admit it does lower DPS.

Agreed. I use mine pretty much every time it is up.
