  1. I've done a great deal of business with Tiger Direct (personal and business related) and never had a bit of trouble with them -- I'm sorry for your trouble, I just wanted to step up since I've done a good deal of ordering with them without any trouble over a number of years. I am so sorry for your trouble, it would really tick me off too. I hope you can get it ironed out.

No, I don't work for them.

Here's the start of my magician card, featuring Scratch Acid, my thugs/poison mastermind. The theme here is magic supplanted by genetic engineering, as all her minions are clones engineered for specific tasks and controlled mentally.

Off to a grand start, nice clean work--looking forward to the finished product!

  3. Sweet job of coloring!

Bleh. I'm throwing the scores away. I'll just share the creme de la creme or whatever.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Which means what? I'm sorry, I didn't think of it as a prize/contest so much as a chance to design to some odd spec.

So, sharing the creme de la creme means you're going to showcase the best ones somewhere?
  5. Very nice work! Mom's got some mad art skillz!
  6. I just wanted to stop by, pick my jaw up off the floor and say NICE WORK!

    Damn nice work!
  7. I really hope that isn't a condition of membership here, because I can never contribute like that. I am the visual equivilent of someone being tone deaf -- I'm line-blind for lack of a better term. No amount of art books, practice or desire has ever made even a remote artist out of me. At best my straight lines are a little better than they used to be. Many of the artists here are donating the art as practice work. If I have to leave because I can't reciprocate, then I'm lost here.

Besides, I love watching you guys/gals work--you are all so amazingly talented.

What I'm saying is, I don't think you have to remove characters from "to be drawn lists" and run away, because at it's core this is an open0-hearted community, that gives out of great generousity. There are no hooks here, just really friendly, nice artists who like to draw.

At least that's my take on it.
  8. Nice angle, very dramatic in terms of pose and lighting--great work Juggie!

Gratz to Spino on getting a nice bit of work.

    One Hero's War

Yes, bravo on the choice of music and having a plot. I think the music well underscores the action, AND it is so nice to see a video that isn't just a random montage of characters fighting and running around to another lame rock song.

Kudos--or whatever treat you prefer. Nice Job.

    Cellflux by Reiq

    That is fantastic! Wow +10!
  11. This is great fun! Really a super little piece!

I'm going to have to consume the thesaurus entry on great, fantastic, wonderful, super if I keep hanging out on here, just so I won't sound like a broken record.

The EULA scroll killed me--I mean, I'm dying in tears here ROTFLMAO!

I like the COV/COX symbols standing in for the pomegranites, but I'm not sure why the hood is standing in place of the crown or the bow/moon (of Artemis) having the shield emblem hanging on it. Why the "R" and "S" instead of "J" and "B" (for Jachin and Boaz from the Temple of Solomon)?

I mean, it looks great, I'm just curious about the symbolisim since it is such a wonderfully executed card, I wonder about the symbolism that was chosen.

    Thanks.

To everyone so far-- man this is one KA idea and all of our (I'm claiming you collectively) fine artists are rising to the challenge.

I love to watch you guys work. My coming here to see the work you drawn or had commissioned from such great artists is one of my highlights right now. I just wanted you to know.

BTW:my quickie two sheckles worth of input:

Hangman: gorgeous and sets a great tone.
The Hermit: Great idea squirrel-- the broken skyline in the back is gonna be killer and the idea itself is super.
    Moon: great prelim
Death: CJ with the addition of the five heroes you've got an awsome thematically cool piece that is fantatstic
Justice: Wow! Just Wow! can't wait to see that finished.

Everyone has a slightly different approach and idea of how to do this, yet they are fitting together beautifully.

You all just Rawk more than any other group on any other board I've ever been on. Truly.

Maybe I need a life, but you guys/gals are fantastisch!

    Rock On!
  13. I love the character work in this-- very cute and nicely done.
  14. The reason to do or not do creative works boils down to one word:

    Passion

If you are passionate and it drives you opinion will not stop you from doing, nor encourage you to pursue it more. You must want it for you.

If you want it--then you should do it again and keep doing it. It will live or die by your passion for it.
  15. Derek:

Here's the other character I wanted to ask you to do a sketch of:

Thanks, glad you're not giving up on yourself.

  18. Rox:

    http://s34.photobucket.com/albums/d1...roLeague/?sc=3

Is the photobucket gallery I created with the Hero League-- there's a small group shot showing relations and how they look together. There are individual shots for each character. I'm interested in your reactions. I tried to meet the descriptions and am pretty sure they're far off your original ideas, but FWIW this is what your descriptions and requirements created in my mind.

Hope you enjoy my look at your guys.
  19. Rox:

I think Roxstar is great and can't think of a reason to change him at all. As for the others. Do you want them to look good together, without being a set costume (like the original X-Men or the FF),

Instead you want them to have individual outfits that blend well together.

    Am I right?

If this is true, then Rox is the cornerstone for the hero group.

I notice your Godesses are Greek influenced. I expect a certain functional nature to most of the costumes--with a modern sensibility a la the X-men as opposed to say the Avengers.

    Does that sound right?

Of course you could instead of agreeing on size agree on aspect ratio and then work at whatever size make you comfortable and reduce the image to that final size--we have computers, this isn't a problem--really.
