Ok. So I had to return my tablet because it was defective right? They told me once they recieved it they would ship me a new one. Well, it's been over a week and today my mom calls me.

Mom "Trish, did you get any email or anything from TigerDirect?"

Me "No. Why?"

Mom "Because they emailed me saying that they recieved the defective tablet and my account has been credited for the total amount plus the shipping to return it."

Me /e jaw drop.

What the hell is wrong with these people?? I got an RMA for an exchange of defective merchandise. All the emails I have back and fourth with them and the other company I had to deal with are titled "Exchange of defective product." I KNOW that the people I was dealing with KNEW that I wanted an exchange, not a return!

*grumbles*

I'm going to go kill someone now.

shoulda used newegg.

Or better yet, order directly from WACOM. I think they charge about $10 for shipping though.

newegg doesn't ship to Canada so that isn't an option. Secondly, I didn't buy a WACOM, I loathe WACOM with a passion after having to deal with them about my last tablet.

I think that's just a coincidence. WACOM tablets are ~usually if not almost always in excellent condition and can take QUITE a beating...I've had mines for probably 3 years now and still works like new. Maybe give them one more chance?

No coincidence. The people that work for WACOM treated me like complete and utter crap everytime I had to contact them for something. I don't deal with companies that treat me that way.

Yeah, I wouldnt either. I always love how companies think just because you bought their product they can treat you however they want.

Yep. I ordered something once from tiger direct. A digital camera to take down with me over thanksgiving two years ago for the last time we'd see my dad alive (and we knew it at the time, too.)

Never got it....

Never ordered from them again with how severely incompetent they were. Ended up getting a Fuji with a printer, actually (since my now-ex needed a printer, too, so....)

Well, I don't really like to think of it as dealing with the "company" but rather just a couple of individuals in the branch that handles customer service. I mean, deep down, NO COMPANY really cares about its customers as long as their numbers go up.

I'd STILL suggest getting a WACOM though...just simply for quality over all. I mean, you're only gonna have to talk to the reps once every blue moon...however, a good tablet will last you a VERY long time through ALOT of uses and wear & tear.

(and I don't work for WACOM either...just a happy customer who's always had good experiences with the company). :-P

This is the first problem I've had with TigerDirect. Now remember I deal with TigerDirect Canada. Different company for the most part.

And DaosX, just because you like WACOM, doesn't mean everyone in the free world does nor does it mean that the other companies making tablets make shotty products.

Also, some people don't have 300-500 dollars sitting around to waste on something just because it's a brand name product.

The defective tablet I got was a fluke more then likely, no different then the time I got a defective MotherBoard.

That sucks. And I just got a WACOM tablet from Tigerdirect.ca. I hope I don't have any problems with either company.

I've bought lots of things from TigerDirect US. Through it all I've only had one problem with them. Basically they double billed my debit card and couldn't refund the money immediately cause it was a debit. When I called they were polite to me and all, but I had to raise a holy hell with them to get them to fix it. To make "amends" they sent my order express shipping free of charge. And got the billing corrected faster than they originally claimed.

So I'd definitely suggest calling them and raising a fuss. Especially if you've got emails proving it was supposed to be an exchange and not a return.

Good luck with it.

Ugh, ok so get this. I just got off the phone with them after being on hold for half an hour (YAY holiday rush!!) and the reason they credited my account was because they are out of stock of the tablet I returned.

Now, my first thought was, 'ok you're out of stock, why not just put me in a 'rain cheque' line or something and send it off when you get more.' Well they don't do that. So I asked them "Well, wouldn't it have been better to tell us that then to just credit our account and leave us wondering?"

*boggles* silly gooses.

Anyways. So now I won't have my damn thing until sometime in the new year unless I get adventerous and find one somewhere else. *sigh* I don't have 500 bucks for the same sized WACOM one and I don't know of any other companies that make them that size, they are either really small or massive.

Oh well, back to the searching.

I've done a great deal of business with Tiger Direct (personal and business related) and never had a bit of trouble with them -- I'm sorry for your trouble, I just wanted to step up since I've done a good deal of ordering with them without any trouble over a number of years. I am so sorry for your trouble, it would really tick me off too. I hope you can get it ironed out.

No, I don't work for them.

Well basically I'm at the point where I either find another place to order it from, or I wait til they get more in stock.

However, my Mom was kind enough to remind me that we run a small business and can buy through a distributer as a reseller, so I may even get it a little cheaper then I had originally thought. *giggles*
