Hey, just because you arent drawing yourself doesnt mean you have to bow out. Heck, I havent drawn in years (wasnt good to begin with) but I love to see other peoples renditions of my characters. Just keep plugging away at it. And most of us who are in the queues are not artists anyway. Hang in there.
What? I've barely scratched your list of characters! And now you want to withdraw? What's up with that?
I really don't do what I do because I expect people to draw my characters, I find it funny that some people think that I wouldn't draw their toons unless they did one of mine first!
I can only speak for myself, but I draw cause I NEEDS to, now I'm not saying I need to draw ALL 112 of YOUR characters, that's a lot of need. But I'm guessing folks here who take requests are not gonna be hung up that you don't "contribute," comments, criticisms and suggestions are as valid a contribution as a piece of art!
But it just sounds like you need a kick in the butt to get your art in gear! So get to drawing! I find doing a sketch a day really helps! Share when you are ready.....are you ready now? We can wait!
I really hope that isn't a condition of membership here, because I can never contribute like that. I am the visual equivilent of someone being tone deaf -- I'm line-blind for lack of a better term. No amount of art books, practice or desire has ever made even a remote artist out of me. At best my straight lines are a little better than they used to be. Many of the artists here are donating the art as practice work. If I have to leave because I can't reciprocate, then I'm lost here.
Besides, I love watching you guys/gals work--you are all so amazingly talented.
What I'm saying is, I don't think you have to remove characters from "to be drawn lists" and run away, because at it's core this is an open0-hearted community, that gives out of great generousity. There are no hooks here, just really friendly, nice artists who like to draw.
At least that's my take on it.
Dont worry about it bro. You still deserve drawings just as much as other people here, and even moreso then many of us here, including me.
I guess I'm not used to this sort of environment. I'll keep up with my requests for artwork then for those that need the practice and in general are having fun with their artwork and enjoy contributing to the community. I'll reply to this with more later when I can think more clearly. My thoughts are rather scattered at the moment.

) I think you should stay in the request lines. Plus, you need a confidence boost? Post some art on this forum. You'll get compliments, critiques, just like the rest of us. Sure, there's always someone better, (Except maybe Gill and DJ ) but you've gotta press on. People do want to see your art, I'm sure of it. Go someplace that has a scanner. Lots of places have 'em.

Well, I've talked to my sister and she will let me use the scanner. Just not today. Maybe tomorrow. Or Wednesday. Thursday? Please, no later than Friday!

I haven't been contrubiting much to this forum or the community as a whole lately and I'm beginning to feel like a bit of a parasite. I've had several of my characters immortalized by some great artists here but have yet to do the same for anyone else in return. I love all the great artwork here and am very thankful to those who were kind enough to include my characters. I know that I'm having trouble with my own artwork, a combination of a creative block, low self-esteem with regards to my talent and an unfamiliarity with my drawing tablet. It's been frustrating that I haven't been able to share anything. I haven't even been able to submit my older artworks because I haven't had access to a scanner. So as it is I think I should remove myself from everyone current queues and let the more active participants in the community take my place as I feel they much more deserve it.
