Last night I jumped on and decided to run a lvl 50 PUG for all and sundry.
Only Ariellah decided to join with her 44 Scrapper.
We ran at +2/*5 as I was testing my Tanks new build and found it to be too easy (fought Warwolves and PPD with around 2-4 Paragon Protectors per mob - damn them and their MoG) so next time ill up it to +2/*7 and see how that goes. -
I can at least say Ive tried the CoP but dont think ill do it again anytime soon.
I assumed at least they'd drop INSP to help during as I burned a lot of them trying to stay alive.
My Brute had soft-capped Melee and Ranged Def (46%+) with my AoE Def at 42% (need 2 more IO's to get to s/c) and I was faceplanting all the time.
Even when taking a medium Purple which put me WAY above s/c I got hit and hit hard.
I dont see how this is even possible without a lot of INSP use, but without getting new ones droped it needs someone to die to go and buy more for the rest of the team - being a courier - how fun.
Getting the Debt cap (440000xp worth) but not being able to work any of it off despite killing is a dumb way of doing this. Im 50 so dont care about loosing XP to debt but it would really piss me off it I was a level 49 and had to work through all that additional debt.
IF the trial is even doable (im sure it is you just need 3+ teams of 50's with IO's who have done the trial a few times before and where the teams are ideal [Buff + debuff + heal + dam + agro]) the end rewards had better be awesome. Imagine after doing all that and actually winning you get a level 50 Intangability recipe... Ive read the XP reward is quite large, which would mean a larger INF gain for level 50's, but often INF is not that much of a deal for level 50's.
None of my toons have EVER had more than 800 Mil (which is a lot) before cutting that down to 400 Mil buying recipes, and salvage and IO's. Most of my 50's have between 150-350 Mil but I dont do a lot of after 50 content as I suffer from a mild case of "alititis".
That being said (long story not-so-short?) the end rewards should at the least be a guaranteed Orange Recipe for all people who are present (on mission map - not neccessarily in the final room) and orange salvage with an increased chance for a purple.
Other level 50 TF/SF allow a chance for a Purple drop for every level 50 foe defeated. On an ITF for example where each foe is level 50 that is a LOT of chances. On the CoP there is 1 chance with a much higher risk... not very balanced. -
Suggestion:
Dont die on Master runs.
[Joking mate]
Even with the 3 failed attempts I had a fun night. Sure the badge would have been good but I team for the team 1st. Badges come a far distant 4th (after Merits/drops, or even 5th after XP for non-50 toons).
Thanks for running a regular event on Fridays -
DONE.
Level 5 Defender (FF/Rad).
This is my first Buffer toon as I normally roll Melee or Debuffers.
@Ariellah should be getting GR this week and will look at joining us on Friday -
Hi all,
last night my ISP kicked the bucket and was not able to connect to the Internet.
Apologies for that - I asked @Ariellah to send a message letting ppl know but they had to d/l and apply the latest 2 patches before that could happen so there were delays ("we apprciate your cooperation" - cityrail).
Next Monday ill see if anyone wants some help with swapping their Heroes to GR/Red side and we can run those TIP missions - or if anyone else has any suggestions... -
OK ill see what I can do with my Crab or Brute to get them as ready as possible.
I tried to make my Crab into a Team Buffer - ended up running around 7 toggles and could only fire off 2-3 attacks before running out of END (only about 15% IO'd) so will respec and try and make a Crabtank with buffs.
So thats my lunch break time allocated for the next few days (only get 30 mins for lunch). -
Following Wednesday Ill be up for a CoP trial. I have never done one and dont know much about it (was before my time) but will research it via ParagonWiki before then.
What types of toons are needed?
Level 50 only?
Level 50 with IO's only?
Level 40+?
Im hoping to get my Brute IO'ed before then so I can bring something other than my Tank. otherwise I can do a complete respec of my level 50 Crab cause I broke her -

Most other days/times people are forming spur-of-the-moment teams so feel free to shout out if you want a team or to form something.
Have fun -
Hi all,
tonight will be another PUG - it was heaps of fun last week and also means you can be late and/or only play for as long as you want.
Again ill be running my Dark/Dark Defender (level 33) so bring what you want. -
OK ill bring my SD/Axe tank as its the only toon that can do a Master run (currently though am working on IOing my Brute and getting others to 50 -damn altitis).
At least there are no Pylons for this one -
Hi Finduilas,
I do tend to spend time running TF where the max level is 35 or below as well as level 50 content.
My understanding (which may be wrong) was that when Exemped IO's more than 3 levels above your excempt level are counted. If this is wrong please tell me how as I do think this mechanic could be done better.
Reason for slotting Oblits is because I was trying to get the most S/L possible and didnt look at total End Cost of those attacks. Have changed them to 4x Sciroccos, 1x MultiS Dam/End/Rech and 2x Oblit Acc/Dam/End/Rech.
Slotting the Ropes was to try and get the Accuracy higher but ive changed them to a single ToD Acc/Dam/End so I can use the slots elsewhere like you recommended.
I changed slotting so I dont break the Rule Of 5.

Thanks for your input this is my first WP toon and im used to DEF toons (SD/SR).

Hmmmmm... well to be honest I didnt think that many people sleep for 3 days straight. Did you notice that the first post was done 3 days before the 2nd?
Also my smiley (you know this thing) was meant to indicate a sence of humour as is myself depreciation in both my posts.
I can only assume that you thought I made my 2nd post on the same day (32 mins BEFORE my 1st post). Im not that good (yet lol).
Have a happy day -
OK so either its a really good build that doesnt need fixing (wooohooo) or it totally sucks and people are too busy laughing at my lame attempt
-
OK here is my current build.
I use NinjaRun + Temp Powers for travel.
Each of the Lotg +Rech I got for 140Mil (on average) or with Merits and the Healing uniques I got with Merits.
It comes with:
Def: Melee 49.4% - Ranged 47.2% - AoE 48.2%
DDR: 67.8%
Res: S/L 40.8%
MaxHP: 3014.966
Regen: 292%
Recovery: 3.84/s
Global Recharge: +40%
Acc: +52%
Dam: +26.5%
I personally was aiming for s/c Positional Def and 3000+ HP.
I also had an alt build where I swapped Combat Jumping for Taunt which gave an additional +2.83% Def and +6% Accuracy (Kismet Unique) and Recovery 3.93/s but dropped Regen to 284%.

Aiming for S/L Def which I got to 44%. Didnt see a way to slot Brawl with 4 KinCombats as I couldnt find the 3 spare slots.
Regen is 666% with 1 foe in range of RttC and 1113% with 10 foes in range.
Ninja Run/Temp Travel Powers are my mode of transport and I dont do Purple or PvP sets.
Nothing breaks the Rule of 5 (that I could see).
So... is it good? OK? Sucks a golf ball through a hose?
Cheers -
Body Mastery FTW!!!!!
Physical Perfection grants +regen/+recovery and SD/Axe can be a huge END Drain.
Ive got a good build for my 50 SD/Axe somewhere that im currently running and Ill post when I can find it (Im at work atm).
Its not especially cheap but not OMG expensive either.
No Purples or PvP sets and I dont do farming/Market flipping either. Just random drop sales and AE ticket rolls. -
Err ummm (runs away embarressed)
Got my head all mixed up with old vs new.
Next week will run something different then.
A mid-level regular/paper/bank mishes for level 30.
Ill bring my Dark/Dark Defender.
Feel free to bring whatever you want -
Last night we ran the first half of the old-school Posi.
Completed in around 3hrs and got the Silver Medalist badge.
I got some good drops for mission completions and also got some points towards my death badges
Next week 2nd half of the old-school Posi. -
Hi all,
I may not be able to make it tonight due to RL issues.
If im not online by 8:30 then I wont be making it, but hopefully someone will run something.
-
Last night was a 7 team Skyspec again as I was getting in game requests for easy merits.
Minotaur recommended the old-stype Posi as another option so I will run that next Monday.
It will be a speed run to get the Merits so will be run at -1/*0. -
Hi all,
sorry about my no-show last night I have no Internet at home currently and AAPT is looking into it as there is an actual shortage to by block of flats.
Thanks Minotaur for picking up the reins.
Hope to have my Internet back soon (im getting the shakes) -
We ran a Katie TF with 1x Tank, 1x Scrapper, 2x Controllers, 2x Blaster and 2x Defenders.
Completed in 32 mins.
Final mish had a few deaths but we also had 2 toons level.
Will look at doing a Skyspec next Monday. -
WM and BA used to be almost identical apart from mitigation type (WM is Stun or KD/U. BA is all KD/U).
Them WM got a bit of a damage buff and does more damage, also WM - Cround Control affects more targets than BA - Pendulum.
(If that is incorrect please correct me)
I prefer WM still as I like to think that stacking multiple KD/U on a tough foe is better than stacking 1/2 Stun and 1/2 KD/U (if that makes sence?).
BUT I did chose BA over WM before the WM buff on my SD/BA tank as the look/feel was very awesome.
I have tried a WM brute but it didnt last long as I was also running my first ever VEAT (Crab) and that was taking all my time. When I came back to making a new toon I wanted Ranged so deleted my new WM Brute to make room. -
But only if said peasant got in his way.
If Conan had to climb the tower to get the <item> and got it without needing to go into a side-antchamber, then he wouldnt. He got the objective(s) and bugs out leaving the other peasants to face their bosses when they arrive and find the <item> gone.
And if it happens all the time (repeat missions from many different Villains) then the bosses would be sooooo angry THEY would attack/kill the lowly peasants and turn to Villainy, thereby increasing the number of Villains vs Heroes and making our fight against Long Bow much much easier.

And the petition was successful
.
I already had the Badge for this TF from a previous run although I forgot I had it but I have been awarded the 32 Merits by the GM's.
See they DO listen
