  2. Im looking at taking it on my Tank after i19.
    I recently did a Statesman and was the one to hold Recluse's agro while the rest of the team took out the Towers (or whatever they are called).

    With 72% Def to all 3 positions (+22ish% from team buffs) and just over 3000HP with 1 hit he would take me down to 500HP with all 4 towers and under half when the Red tower was down. He missed more often than not but was still 2-shoting me.
    The +Res/+HP from OWtS for 2 mins woudl be a big help with this. And on a 3 min timer that means only for 1 min I do not have this extra layer of protection. Yes there is a -60% END crash but a blue and im good as all im doing is running around with my def toggles Taunting him so he doesnt attack the others.

    I have no idea (yet) how id slot this. Leave it as is and put a Health IO? Put in 2 slots for 2x Health IO's. 2 Slots with 1 Health + 1 Res IO? Actually put some Sets in?

    I need to play around with my build for i19.


    Another option if you feel you dont need it when fully IO'd is to take this as a leveling power and respec out when you get your IO's.

    Is there a reason why residents outside of America, Canada and the EU cant enter these kinds of competitions?

    I know Australia is very far away but there are no postage & handling costs as the prizes are all electronic.

    And yes I saw that some parts of America are also excluded ("Ooohhhh say can you see" - no im in RI so for some reason I cant).

    More salvage slots AND allow Recipe/Enhancments.

    Can be simplified from the OP by simply allowing all 3 types to be dragged into the Vault. Have 3 <tabs> so you can filter the view (like with personal salvage).

    Maybe have the amount of Vault Storage increase as you increase in level (not sure if it does this already?).

    Im starting to feel a bit of burn out creeping in so am expecting to take some time off for a week or two.
    As such I wont be running anything next week (and maybe the week after).
    I MAY be on occationally (got the shakes man) but no guarantee's and not to run anything.
  6. Hi all,
    well we started the night by taking on DeathSurge who appeared in front of the Cap AE building just for us

    After a false start (3 Brutes and a Bane dont have enough (any?) debuff) we got a full team (5 Brutes, Bane, Crab and a DEFENDER [with RAD - wooohooo]) we kicked Deathsurge's charged behind in approx 45 seconds (wasnt timed but two of us discussed and it appeared to be around that time ). It was a serious case of "WTF? Did someone pull the power plug?".

    Anyways...

    After this some had to leave so we got back down to 5.

    So then onto the AE and we started by running Ariellah's 2 story arc which requires the killing of all bosses before the glowie can be clicked. After a non-optimal start (silly Dom [me] ran in with confuse and got spanked) we got a roll on and with Speed Boost we were running from mob to mob with zero wait in between.

    We got half way through Ariellahs 2nd mish before we exited to invite 2 more and started on Plantatia's "X8: Ohh Canada" arc. Spoiler: This arc NEEDS a team, with a leader at least level 41. Expect deaths.
    So yeah - the above says it all

    By the end of the 2nd mish of Plants 2 story arc it was 11pm and bed time for most of us.

    Thanks to Hard, Planatia, Ariellah, Minotaur (been too long mate), Soliton Wave III (I think thats the name), Grgic (I/II).

    If I forgot anyone (or got their names wrong) let me know and I will fix

    Especially as the game does not support Modern Day Physics cards
  9. Yeah it appears i19 wont be out until week after next (like Minotaur said) so AE it is

    Its been a while since ive done some serious AE runs and not having to run around the place will be good for a change.

    We can definately give Plants AE Arcs a run and see what else comes up.

    IF anyone else has an Arc or wants to try creating one before hand please let us know and we will give them a go.

  11. Tonights RWZ PuG started off strong with first a 5 then 8 member team tearing the Rikti a new one.
    This dropped to 5 but after a mission reset all was good.

    Missions were run at +0/x1 (default) to keep things easy and fast moving.

    Next week will depend on i19. Im hearing too many different theories so will play it by ear.
    IF i19 is out by then then im sure unlocking the Alpha-Slot will be high on the agenda so level 50's prepare
    If not we will look at doing some random AE Arcs (no not that Rikti Monkey arc) for some XP and Tickets (and random foes).
    If you have an AE arc you like feel free to say the number and we will ive it a run (see above )

    for tonights SINISTER Event im assuming there is no i19 update at this stage.
    However just in case the dev's decide to drop a Wednesday Update on us lets do something that does not lock us in.

    When: 8:30pm EDST
    When the team forms if someone(s) have not yet got the Vanguard badge we will do those missions first so everyone can get the Vanguard Merits then start off on some random RWZ missions.

    Bring whichever toons you want. Difficulty will depend on who brings what.
  13. Piercing the Leviatans eye has drained it of much of its power. As such it has reduced in size (still GM-Lusca sized). This has also allowed it to escape.
  14. Tonight we helped Synapse with his aversion to old-school tech by SHIFT+DELETING a whole bunch of clockwork.

    Penny Traitor took charge and we had a full team innext to no time.

    Took just over 2 hrs including takking Babbage to the sink for a wash before being chopped up and served with a side order of KICKA55.

    sorry for my late update.

    Looking at doing some TF Commanders badges still to get the accolade so tonight will be SYNAPSE.

    Level 15-20, Skyway City, 58 Merits, 15 missions, GM Babbage appearing during the TF.
    This is a Clockwork arc so there is also the option for the badge based on killing 100 Clockwork Gears (the mini-me's that spawn when a Clockwork Boss is defeated).

  17. Plant and I will run our level 50 Dom and Brute for the LRTF (and most likely for the ITF as well).

    As long as you meet the min level requirement for the ITF (35+) bring whatever.

    However if Plant wants to run a Stair Case ITF.... well you may get some death/debt badges
    - we all might lol

    Start time is the normal 8:30pm so you may have time to respec your level 35/45+ toons before then.

    Power Armor set

    Thanks for all for your feedback.

    My original idea was for the set to be based purely on large sets of pwoer armor. As I developed the individual powers I tried to apply logic for how/why and seem to have sidetracked myself with the forcefield effect.

    Leo_G you asked about a Stalker secondary. I guess there isnt much of a reason why not. I dont have much experience with Stalkers. Also as this is a new idea I didnt want to branch out to sets that have different powers (add Hide, remove...?).

    Some costume pieces are already linked to Power sets (ie: any Sword, Axe/Mace, Shield, Assault Rifle) which MAKES you use that item when you use the power. This is obviously a bit different as you can put away your shield/sword/axe (Im still unsure WHERE you store them as they are hidden?) so for this set it may need to be either:
    A) Always wearing armor - your costume is locked out of non-armor pieces (already hear the massive NOOOOOO on this)

    B) We suspend reality and just like all other costume pieces that activate on use your toon puts on the armor (in under 2 secs?) whenever they activate a linked power.
    This COULD be explained - nanite tech rebuilds the armor - you use magic to "summon" the armor around you - etc.

    apologies for not putting a plan up for last nights events.

    I had some ppl saying we dont run enough high level content so I ran some Level 50 Hero-Hero tip missions.
    We also did a Rikti bomb run and defended PI from invasion.

    The missions were set to +2/x7 initially but proved to be a bit much with Longbow (my S/L Res on my SD tanker went from an awe-inspiring 35% [jokes] to a staggering -227% at one point). As such it was dropped to +1/x7.

    I also discovered that I had a hole in my build. My Active Defence (mez prot) has a 20 sec gap which in Mids I thought I had covered. This meant I was getting stunned quite a bit and as such wearing my shield as a hat. With the freespecs from i19 coming soon ill do a respec build then. Maybe look at using some HO's for once (doesnt that look inappropriate :|).

    Im guessing that i19 will be out next Tuesday so we will still have another Monday night of i18 content.
    Ill run another Task Force Commander TF - lets see who actually reads these forums. Votes are open now for WHICH TF to run .

    Power Armor set

    Power Set Name: Power Armor
    Primary/Secondary/Pool: Primary & Secondary
    Archetype: Tank (Primary) & Brute/Scrapper (Secondary)

    Similar to Shield Defence but allows more "utilites". Real-word reason is a shield has limited space for additional componentry and a smaller-limtied power source. Power Armor has room for both.


    Description:You wear Powered Armor that surrounds you with a force-field like effect to deflect the enemies attacks and as you upgrade make you indestructable.
    Your armor can be powered by a small nuclear device, solar, cold fussion, etc.
    This set has no Psionic defence or resistance but does provide high levels of physical defence and can be upgraded to absorb some damage that bypasses the defences. Due to the visual impact of your armor your foes tend to focus their attacks on you (higher than average taunt +taunt radius/duration).



    1) Physical Deflection Field
    +15% Def S/L. +10% Max HP.
    Your armor protects you from most physical attacks such as bullets, blades and punches. The density of the armor also allows you to take more hits before falling, increasing your Max HP.


    2) Environmental Protection Field
    +15% Def F/C/E/NE, +10% Res Toxic
    Your armor's FF now also provides defence against heat, cold and force effects. Toxic attacks that make it through deal less damage than normal.


    3) Absorption Field
    +15% Res S/L (Auto), +25% Res DefDebuff
    Your armor has been upgraded to absorb some of the hits that make it through. This upgrade is part of the armor itself and not its FF so it is always on and costs no END.


    4) Increased Stability,
    Status Prot, +20% Res DefDebufff
    Your armor's core sturcture has been improved to protect you against being KB, Immob, Held, Stun, etc. it is also now able to reduce effects that weaken your armor.


    5) Menacing Stature
    Taunt (mag 4, 22s, 15' radius), Fear
    Your armor has had powerful or intimidating designs/additions added to it making your foes try to take you down before attacking your less-threatening team mates. This power has a Taunt more powerful than normal (increased Range/Duration). In addition Foes within 10' also feel the affect of your armor have a chance to be scared whitless (or awed beyond reason). Affected foes can still attack if they are attacked (Fear affect).

    6) Energy Absorption
    +15% Res F/C/E/NE
    Advanced technology has been developed and added to absorb energy damage. This is now a part of the armor so is always on and costs no END.


    7) Fluid Mechanics
    +15% Rech, +20% Res DefDebuff, +5% Def (all but psi)
    New lubricants and enhanced articulated joints have been added to your armor allow you to move more freely and unencoumbered. This means you can react faster and attacks that would make you easier to hit are lessened.


    8) Force Burst
    PBAoE attack (dmg, +Stun (foe)) 15'
    You charge up your armor and release the built-up energies in an explosion around you. Affected foes have a moderate chance to be stunned.


    9) Iron Golem
    +20% Def (all but toxic/psi), +20% Res (all but Psi), +20% speed/rech, Self -80% end/recovery for 45secs after 1 min.
    You overcharge your armors generators increasing your Def and Res and speed. For a minute you become almost unhittable and ignore most damage that does pass through. Your armor also allows you to move faster increasing your movement and recharge speed. After a minute however your armors power is severly depleted and takes longer to recharge its energies than normal.

    Additional Costume sets could also be created (PLEASE) beyond the regular "Armored" sets (im sorry but those "thigh" pieces - really?). Examples like Warhammer armor, Starcraft Marine armor, etc come to mind (with differences to avoid copyright of course ).


    This set would also allow 2 handed attack sets that are currently disallowed (ie: claws/dual-blades).


    So what do you all think? Over powered? Underpowerd? Too much without giving enough back?

    Numbers are based on my attempt to provide balance.

  24. I have bought the Origin Booster pack and so far very happy with it.
    Today I tried to use it on my VEAT (Bane) and was able to on his 3rd slot but not on his first slot (with the Arachnos pieces).

    I get the whole no power customisation (dont like it but I get it).

    But not having something I paid extra for... nope - sorry.
