Better off with ss/wp if you going on the cheap imo...
-
No idea where you are getting 400% damage bonus and fury is 200% (good luck on hitting that).
-
Im confused as well my first build which I did in a few minutes seems better than that build. You can turn death shroud off if soloing but on teams that thing is doing a ton of damage. To not have it in build is to me pointless in making a da in first place. I am certainly not calling my build the best by a long shot but I would not consider a non death shroud build. It will be by far your most end efficient attack on large teams...

You have to remember to take out the gaussian proc before looking at damage numbers...
[/ QUOTE ]
Without the proc calculated in from Gaussian, the damage is 264. Gaussian was added not because of the build-up, but because 6-sloted it gives +2.5 defense to all positional defenses.
[/ QUOTE ]
You have pvp mode on as well... -
A new and updated version, now utilizing the PVP IO (slotted in Murky Cloud).
Defenses:
Melee: 45.3, Ranged: 45.9, AoE: 45.6 (without hover activated)
Foot stomp has a 333.5 average damage on a 9.2 second cooldown.
Without accolades recovery is 180%, 3.01 end/sec with a 1.52 end/sec drain
For a ranged attack you have Hurl. For a melee attack chain you have Jab, Haymaker, Boxing, Knockout Blow and of course Foot Stomp as previously mentioned.

Softcapped with pvp io but good luck with the endurance lol...

A lot of das effectiveness depends on how good you become with dark regen. If used optimally (I admit it is tough) it can outperform rttc and fast healing combined against mobs. The defense/resist numbers from wp and da are basically a wash. Of course wp gets its nice health bonus but da can get a lot of mitigation from either cof or og.
Im not sure what primary from wp you are comparing to the em/da. If it is something like ss or sm you have to admit that is an unfair comparison. When dealing with single avs though I would def take the wp as the burst damage from avs can make it even harder to time dark regen. -
No recharge in throw spines is just sad and I would find a way to fit energy torrent in as well...
-
I have a 50 db/da and it is really strong. I dont have og and rarely ever turn on cloak of fear. Honestly, I never thought I would level it but it turned into a lot of fun. I built mine with quite a bit of defense and of course recovery. If you dont want to sink some decent infamy in a da I personally would not recommend it.
-
My 50 scrappers...
dm/inv-needs respec someday
bs/regen- retired
claws/sr- still play
spines/regen- *my fave*
kat/wp- not often
fire/fire- not often
ma/shields- it looks cool... -
I remember the excitement of leveling my ice/em tank the first 34 levels...
-
I would personally take regen over willpower for spines. I personally maneuver a lot to leverage throw spines and energy torrent making rttc less effective.

If you have the chance...

I assume the pvp defense is in tough so you could put four kinetic combats, one of the tri crushing impacts or nucleolus and the hetacomb proc in smite.
Also, you should throw the heal/recharge from touch of nictus in siphon life for the 9% acc bonus. It looks like a quad from description but really the same thing as the doctored wounds. -
I just dont understand how you can talk about farming and not include energy torrent. This is a staple power in any true farming spines. In pvp having laserbeam eyes and energy torrent will help you a ton as well.
Superspeed is far superior for farming as you are in position for spine burst much faster as you will be in middle of mob after target furthest throw spines. Then take a step back and fire off energy torrent.
