you should then be able to get two out of the three basic base functions (workbench, med bay, teleport) up and cooking. You appear to run out of energy before you can have all three going.

That's odd... in my CoV SG, we got medbay, basic workbench, and a single telepad running with the combination unit... at least, I THINK so. -
Well, they DO have Stygian Circle, which regenerates more health depending on the strength of the target... wasn't all that unlikely that same rules would apply to Unchain Essence.
Thanks for the info, anyway. -
Having just picked up this power on my Warshade, I've got a question: Is the damage dealt from it in any way dependant on the target, or does it deal the same damage regardless of whether you're targeting a dead level 1 Underling or a dead level 50 AV?
-
My level 44 Mastermind, Vrykola, would definitely be interested in joining... global @BlackDragon
-
Aye, ya took yer sweet time, but that double XP weekend was just beggin' for you to sprint that final stretch... congrats, mate, and happy to have another 50 in the Dark Defender.
-
So, when are these gonna be available? They're gonna be in the Forumite shop, right?
-
I lead an SG in both CoH and CoV, complete with base... in CoV, however, I'm 'only' co-leader, and I'm not the only one with base editing privileges. I suppose I've technically got the power to prevent anyone else from having any influence on the shaping of the base, but that doesn't mean I do. My XO in CoV has been quite active in helping to give the base its style and form, even if we don't always agree on stylistic choices.
-
Huh, nobody else interested? Ah well, we'll meet at the appointed time anyway, and see if we can't pick up 2 more members on the run.
-
Blasters: There is no overkill. There is only "Open Fire" and "I need Blues".
Warshades: Wearing sunglasses at night since I3. -OR- Dark + Brooding + Cool -
Concidering this is the Defiant forums, d'ya think it may be, y'know, Defiant?
Anyway, Aerys, I'm still happy to provide transfering services, as always. I'm surprised you don't just contact me directly at this point.Just send me a global at @BlackDragon, and we'll set it up again...

Anyone who hasn't done this SF, please do - it has a chain of the best instanced maps in the game
[/ QUOTE ]
This is true. I also, however, recommend that anybody who wants to do it, waits till those instanced maps actually become VISIBLE... >_< -
Okay, since I'm planning to take my Mastermind from 42 to 45 during the double XP weekend, I'd like to get this one out of the way before then. We only really need 4 people total, as long as someone brings some regen-debuff to the party. If we don't get anyone with build-in -regen, make sure you bring some Shivans to the party...
Providing that there's enough peeps, we'll have a go-time at 7 PM Wednesday.
I'm bringing my level 42 Necro/Dark MM, of course - if you want to join in, please enter with level, powerset, and global handle. -
Nice, now if someone could get a picture of the Arcane variant too... :P Same thing applies to the highest-level Control device. Why is everybody so tech-centric?
*starts waving around a sign saying "Equal Rights for Arcane Supergroups!"* -
All right, concider yourself held in reserve, Professor Z...
-
Right, so here's the team...
Vrykola - level 42 Necro/Dark MM
Zero Genesis - level 28 Merc/FF MM
Ghost Wraith - level 20 (hopefully) Claws/Ninja Stalker
Manchurian - level 47 Fire/Fire Dom
Dr. Muspelheim - level 24 Plant/Thorn Dom
?Lord Proteus? - level 50 Energy/Dark Corr
Elektrikern - level 20+ Elec/Elec Brute
Gaspard - Level 50 AR/Kinetics Corr
Got a nice spread of AT's here...
Mind, there's still room for one 'reserve' in case GW doesn't make it - which, I may add, seems entirely likely at this point. I think he's still 18... >_> -
You're right, my bad... I was looking at the 'Attached to' line, and reading it as 'Attachable to'. Guess there's no worry, then - I can just leave enough bookcases in place to ensure that we don't go 'out of control'. ^_^
Thanks for the help. -

Note that you can use the 'smaller' upgrades on orbits of control as well. The ones you want info about just cannot be added to any smaller central control item.

Are you sure about this? I checked my bookshelves, and it said they could ONLY be linked to a Magical Axis... -
Okay, team so far:
Vrykola - level 42 Necro/Dark MM
Zero Genesis - level 28 Merc/FF MM
Ghost Wraith - level 20 (hopefully) Claws/Ninja Stalker
Manchurian - level 47 Fire/Fire Dom
Dr. Muspelheim - level 24 Plant/Thorn Dom
?Lord Proteus? - level 50 Energy/Dark Corr
?Elektrikern? - level ?? ??/?? ??
Got room for one more, possibly two if Ghost Wraith doesn't manage to get to 20 in time.
Ninja-edited! -
I'm currently planning an 'upgrade' for my SG base, going from the basic Magic Axis + Bookshelves setup, to the Orbits of Control... but, I need some stats on the attachables for the OoC, which can only be made via salvage, so I can know how much Prestige will be necessary to make 'the switch'...
Basically, I need to know the control output, energy drain, and Prestige cost of the Astral Haruspex, Mystical Bookshelf, Seer Desk, and Viewing Portal.
I hope you can help... otherwise, I'll just end up upgrading to OoC, and then suddenly finding out that I can't afford to buy enough attachments to reach the old control-level, leaving the base semi-useless for a while. -
Hell, just send it live regardless - we've got killer lag and serious instability anyway, so we may as well save some Prestige on it.
-
Pirates of the Air is the name of the SF, I believe... I'm setting one up next saturday, say around 6 PM GMT? My SG has a Mission Computer, and the permissions are set so that anyone teamed with me can enter the base.
Minimum level required is 20, minimum team is 4.
Current team:
Vrykola - level 42 Necro/Dark MM
Zero Genesis - level 28 Merc/FF MM
Ghost Wraith - level 18 Claws/Ninja Stalker - IF he manages to get to 20 in time...
Sign up here...
PS: The SF is only 6 missions, and the AV at the end is a pushover, so it's not gonna take too long, or be too tough... -
If you're not going to be able to play for long periods at a time, and mostly at night, it may be best to make a Scrapper - for optimal solo-ability. Playing a team-based AT at a time when it's hard to find a team, especially if you might have to leave any teams you manage to find after just an hour or two.
Incidentally, you're welcome to join my SG, the Dark Defenders - there's plenty of room there for upwards mobility, and we don't kick people out for not being on too often. Also, we've got a couple of nocturnal players you'd be likely to encounter if you play late evenings and night - me included.
Send a global tell to me at @BlackDragon if you wanna join up, and I'll handle the rest... -
That's true, Grave... when I petitioned it, they informed me that ther's a 10-minute timer delay on gains - I still can't see how that can take me into the red, though, unless I'm trading something in.
-
In that it's fairly short, and actually fun, mostly.
Unique enviroments also help - far too many of the CoH TF's don't have any of those, and AFAIK, all the CoV SF's have at least one unique instanced.
-
*looks around* I don't think you'll see a crowd of disappointed badgers bemoaning your delay, P. As a matter of fact, I'm the only one who's confirmed my precense at this time... bit lean for effectively farming level 50 bosses, methinks.
Maybe you should just try to reschedule for a time when there's more interested people around. Providing that there IS any interested people around...
