  1. I've "been here" for 60 months, but I lapsed my account for a month or three over that time period. So I don't get my City Traveler badge for another three months... ARGH! August can't come soon enough, I tell ya!
  2. You've got e-mail.

Further translation: They were sitting outside the AE asking how to get a "normal" mission. You can infer from that that they had never played OUTSIDE the AE building before. They had only ever run AE missions. They were asking how you get a "normal" mission from a "normal" contact because they'd never played the "real" game before.

Also, I like "lasers" and "quotation marks".

    Something is not adding up:

Fire guy: Can someone combine some stuff and make some blues for me?
Bad: leave a slot open, inspirations will drop. Plus you get badges for inspirations dropped in AE missions.
Fire guy: really? Cool! Can you make me some blues?
    Bad: No.
    Time passes....
Fire guy: Anybody got blues? I need them bad.
Bad: Right click on one, if you got three of a kind you can make a blue.
    Fire guy: You can?
    Bad: Yes.
Fire guy: LOL! Cool! I had no idea you could do that!

Yeah, that's the very FIRST thing that I noticed too.

I teamed with a Warshade tonight, who formed a team around level 11-13 at the AE building in Atlas and then asked, "How do I get a mission?"

    [/ QUOTE ]

Maybe they hadn't done AE yet.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Translation: You have to have a level 50 to be able to make a Warshade. This person apparently got all the way to level 50 and THEN got a Warshade up to level 11, all without ever learning how to get a "normal" mission.

    Kinda sad, honestly...
  5. Silly Zek, trying to use logic again on the forums..... STOP THAT!
  6. Right now, I'm enjoying Kin/NRG way more than I probably should be.

Pewpewpew + 25% permanent damage bonus + permanent travel power and recharge bonus at an early level = win!

    Truth is often funny.

Right, because I've NEVER done anything helpful or beneficial to the community.

    *looks down at signature*

Well, crap. I hate it when I'm wrong.

The poster has hardly any history of saying anything nice therefore I don't give them the benefit of the doubt.

    I LOLed.

I don't agree at all. I've Mal'd people to teach them how to bodyguard. People need to learn and if all you're willing to do is write them off then maybe its not so much a problem they are having...

    [/ QUOTE ]

I guess you missed the second half entirely.

Since MA I've encountered veterans with level 50'

They've somehow discovered the Growth powerset????
  11. Form your own teams, find out who the idiots are, give them one star and add a Note saying "idiot", and then kick them. There, problem solved.

Unless you don't want to be a total jerk, then you might try to start a conversation with them and help them learn how to play the REAL game.

    Yeah, good luck with that.
  12. This Week - Musicals 2: The Sequel!

Yes, that's right... I enjoyed doing it so much last week that this week I want to play more musicals. Except this week, I'll shake it up a bit. I have enough music from these great movies that I might be able to stretch this out into two or three shows, depending on the number of reviews that I get!

Either way, I'm taking ALL of the songs that I have from all of the musicals that I have, except Hairspray and Little Shop that I did last week, and shuffling them all up into one big soup. So I'll be playing this random mix of songs from musicals plus your requests.

So please tune in! Once again, it's at 11 AM EDT on KJSR!

    Opinions Needed

You're safe, unless the arc is removed. Let the devs worry about that, you don't have to.

I have an arc that's a complete parody of Super Mario Brothers. I got one "complaint" that it was a "ripoff" of SMB.... well.... DUH, that was the point. And that complaint sits on the arc forever until I think three of them build up. Then a dev looks at the arc. If there is no problem, the complaints are cleared. If there is a problem, the arc is unpublished or deleted.

Either way, I wouldn't worry about anything. Let the devs be the cops, and don't worry until you hear from them. This is just someone trying to be their own authority. I find it quite silly.

    Are You CRAZY?

    *woosh* right over the head!

    Are You CRAZY?

Have you two made peace again? Cool.
  16. I never said GOTTA, I said should.

But I'm no longer sure that Force Bolt is a gotta' have. Just IME and all that, but I think it's skippable. And I know it doesn't really benefit all that much from slotting.

If you really want mobs out of your face, take Repulsion Field.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Haven't I been saying this for years? Especially the last line.
  18. [ QUOTE ]
Welcome to Force Fields. I suppose it is possible to be a Force Fielder and not run Dispersion Bubble, but I've never seen it.

Force Bubble, on the other hand, I would say is very much optional.

You may be giving them far too much credit and reading to too much into their form responses and patting themselves on the back.

Well, aren't you a ray of sunshine.
  20. I've got a better one:
<ul type="square">[*]The Developers make City of Heroes to pull people into a world that THEY control.[*]They then make missions, which can be "reset", thus creating farming to make getting "stuff" easier.[*]They then make PvP to entice people to get aggressive and fighting each other, to make us want to hurt each other.[*]They then make IOs to make people even MORE powerful than they already were. However, the best ones, they make rare.[*]They then make the market so that people can buy and sell those IOs, thus making getting IOs easier.[*]They then make the Mission Architect, which makes getting IOs even EASIER, thus "killing" the market![*]They then nerf the missions so that farming them doesn't net you as much "stuff" as running the normal game content![*]The players, already used to being agressive and getting what they want and being angry at other players, then get angry at the Devs AND other players and complain on the forums about how it's so hard now to get all their leet "stuff"![*]????[*]Profit![/list]
So, basically, they created City of Heroes as ONE GIANT MIND-[censored]!
  21. [ QUOTE ]
I was going to go deeper into the "I want to be SEEN!" portion and the actual OP, but realized that it is not a good idea.

    [/ QUOTE ]

Especially considering that at least three other people already thought of it before you did.
  22. All of your answers are here. In short-short: Make your own teams, work the market, BE PATIENT.

Or, just keep complaining about how hard it is to get the virtual "stuff".... that works too.
  23. I disagree. The enemies bunch up on the outer rim just as much as they bunch up in the middle without force bubble. Most of those powers are Targetted or placable AoEs, there is nothing stopping people from using them in the bunches that exist on the rim.

I don't see the risk to meleers. I've been on dozens of Rikti raids using this same strategy, and no meleer is in any more danger than when I'm on one of my other toons in a raid. They die at the same frequency.

I guess we'll have to just accept the disagreement then.
  24. I consider FB to be required for RWZ raids. Why, and where do you use it? Not until you get to the center of the ship, then turn it on. All the blasters and other squishies can sit in the middle, safely protected from almost all melee attacks, while the melee toons can go to the edge of the "inner ring" and take out all the enemies that are PINNED there by the Force Bubble.

Meleers can handle the aggro that they attract and survive it, that's what they're BUILT for. Blasters, Defenders and Controllers are not built as tough by default unless someone pumps into them and builds for self defense/toughness.

Doing this strategy, I've never had a failed raid, and the melee players were ALWAYS able to handle their own without dying.
