BAD idea with more bad attached to it. Imagine armies of toons yelling "Don't attack us we're farming Prestige. a la RV. No, if there's any incentive, this is NOT it.

All these aside. Why do people put themselves on hide in a pvp zone? There for missions, don't wanna pvp? Fair enough, but there are the 'sneaky' ppl there for the 'surprise' attack, you attack, we know you're there, your name's on my bounty list, we know you're there.
If everyone there to pvp to their name OFF hide to pvp, ppl coming and checking activity or using /sea could gauge the activity better and more could pvp.

Turn off hide as in /unhide, cheers!

Drop Conserve Power, Stamina makes it redundant.

Drop Power Burst, Power Punch does the same job (& can't get rid of Power Punch!).

If you're going with Fly, 3 slot it and boost up swift with another slot, maybe 2 depending on how're your going.

The Super Jump set's CJ & acrobatics may give give you better all round protection. I still have fly though

Get Bonesmasher AND Total Focus, I play as a blaster should for the most part BUT enemies do like melee with YOU, so have a toe-to-toe attack chain, end it with Power Punch and follow up with your ranged moves, it'll wipe out or devastate most foes with a chain consisting of range and melee.

Don't go overboard with KB in NRG Torrent, too far and you can't follow up with blasts as easily. Put some KB in Power Punch instead

I didn't realise the importance of Aim and Build Up til some time later (my 1st toon n00bness), get these, slot these.

You'll only need 2 Acc in any power, PvE or PvP.

Aid Self is invaluable.

Tactics will serve you well also.

The only powers my blaster hasn't tried are Boost Power and Boost Range, I added a range SO to a couple of moves and it's more than ample.

How long does a full Hami raid take?

For a decent PvE/PvP brute, what's the most advisable?

Got me a Mercs/Traps, love him pieces great toon but I can't help feeling I'm not utilising Traps enough!

Currently have Webnade, FFG, Seeker Drones & Triage Beacon. I had Poison Trap before and wasn't impressed (it wasn't slotted though) and Detonator sounds like it will be pap.

I'm an active MM and get involved in the firefights, therefore like my machine gun, I have SJ as my travel, Acrobatics sits nicely on top of my FF generator.

So which powers are a must, which are a should and which are a plain old fashioned no?

Tactically, it's being stationary is not a problem for me, got a bind for all & sundry to run back to it and I can maybe dish out an Aid Other or green on top.

Recharge x2 and it's more than fine now.

I'll whack up it's slots, if it's still pants in the actual hp replenishment dept. it'll be sayonara Triage Beacon!

In addition to the above post.

Clear the vault area as best you can too.

Try sticking to Villainous difficulty setting til your Regen pool gets the tasty hp replenishing powers or the ones you have are nicely slotted at least!

I have a Stalker, they can be soloed.

Another cheeky tip is to get the mission, level, then do it as the spawns will now be that much lower

Myself and some friends all rolled army MM's for an afternoon of hilarity on Defiant. We had no plans to keep them.

We got to lvl 10 or so, wiped the blood from our faces, inhaled the napalm for the last time and logged off.

BUT.

I re-rolled mine on Union (my main server) and he flew past my main inside a week, he now sits at lvl 35 and looks to lvl again soon.....

Well Blind, by all means pop over to The Paragon Knights, we're pretty active, we run SG events have a couple of friendly Coals.

We have our own chat channel to call in reinforcements.

We like Prestige but know full well that DO's and SO's are EXPENNSIVE after lvl 25!

A modest base and our own forum to chat and co-ordinate, plan etc.

We're a friendly bunch and I always say to any new member/SG hunter have a look a round and give it a trial period.

Hate duellers. I will attack you and I will not give a monkey's if I'm sent to the hosp for the 504th time, I couldn't care less what I'm called over any channel.

The behavior noted in the OP will reinforce my resolve ten fold.

HOWEVER, I have nothing against duelling in a PvP zone, I like to do it, I like to watch it and on occasion I quite happily let people get on with it. ( by crikey, that could sound so wrong... )

My point is, it's a PvP zone and serves that purpose, so when I or anyone else is 'duelling', it is done under threat of attack from people there to PvP and that's the way of the land. What I do not condone is the self righteous, self appointed 'rule makers' of a zone and particularly those that would enforce in such a fashion as stated in the OP. That type of play disgusts me and a whole host of other players; you should hold yourselves responsible for potentially putting people off PvP and address your actions accordingly. Any action seen by myself or, heaven forbid, against me, will result in a petition being sent for grieving.

Rant over, still loving PvP, loving PvP action the PvP zones and look forward to plenty more of where that came from.

Cue argument nearly as old as time!
