  1. I have a little idea that could be a nice feature in AE: "Speak To" Characters.
Specifically, a "Speak To" Character would be useful within an AE mission map. The dialog of this character could be up to say 500 or 1000 characters, and this could possibly be in a conversation format similar to conversing with a non-AE contact. Of course, the map housing this contact could have the option of also containing enemies or not, as desired.

This would solve a problem that I am currently having in my AE mission arc designs. Specifically, if I wanted the Arc Player to speak to an additional contact and possibly provide more advanced depth, storyline, and dialog, I would have to direct that Player to start a whole new arc. This option could obviously discourage the Arc Player from advancing through my storyline and/or just simply limit my storyline. Also, this could limit the effectiveness of having 3 publishable arc spots, as it would take 2 slots to use multiple contacts. Having the option of a 'speak-to' character within an arc mission would fix these problems, IMHO
  2. Here's some questions:

When a Villain has access to Hero zones and maps, would the Villain's SG then be able to house porters to blueside maps?

Also, would a global storage facility become a feature?
  3. Nice job on the pool! That room is epic.

(the tech/water thing i mentioned was just a joke btw)

I was just brainstorming ideas for water-holding items.
  4. I guess what my main point was is that it'd be nice to see an exclusive villian-side SF, or four :P Those of us who perfer red-side, do feel jilted. So it would be nice to have just a Villain SF introduced. And yes, I do know that CoH has been around longer than CoV - red-side has some catching up to do.

As for suggesting SFs for each patron, it is an interesting idea. The reward system I suggested could very well be instated Hero-side. I enjoy the option of choice and having it as an option at the end of an SF, I think, would be fun.

Also, I've done the research, STF rewards 30 merits and LRSF rewards 25. I just think those SFs/TFs that are advertised as the toughest for their respective sides should reward more merits, despite the equation they use to calculate their rewards.
  5. K, I'll repost in the suggested listing you gave. Thx for the feedback
  6. Well, I was hoping for another power option - an increase to both regeneration and recovery at the same time would be nice. Hero-side option for this same Accolade reward would be needed as well then, to keep balance.
  7. Here’s a few base item ideas I have. Think’em over and give some feedback

SG:item.1 = Fountains. I know from checking out the Base Showcases, and my own building wants and needs, that water features would make a great new addition to the SG’s décor. Why not a fountain or two to choose from? You could have a tech fountain, arcane fountain, even sewer fountain (lol eww).

SG.item.2 = Pools. Again, a water feature. This time a standing pool of water. I don’t know if a tech pool would work so well, techy stuff runs on electricity, and electricity and water . . . I dunno. But an arcane one or sewer pool would work. Just convert the Arcane Alter Podium for example. Oh okay, make a tech one too :P

SG.item.3 = Arcane Crystals. You know what would be a great addition to the Arcane Defense items? Those red CoT crystals that emit AoE damage when you pass by them. The same ones that can be found in some CoT missions. And as a Med Bay addition, those green and blue crystals would be great to have, the ones that increase recovery and regeneration.

    AE Ideas

AE’s mission creator is fun and all, but fun can become funner! And yes I said funner! It’ll be the bestest!

AE:idea.1 = A Bigger Baddie! I have an epic new story arc idea that requires and equally epic end-mish villain. What?! He can only be 8 feet tall? But my Archvillain is larger-than-life! And most other villains and heroes running throughout the lands could see eye-to-eye with him. How un-intimidating.

Could I suggest that AE allow, only for Archvillains class type, the option to create a 12-foot tall monster? You could limit the map types that would allow this sort of creature to roam, or only permit that they have to be in the back of the map where the high ceilings are located.

AE:idea.2 = More Enemy Groups! How come I can’t get my hands on some turrets for my AE arc? Because they not an enemy group. They could be, ya know. It’d be pretty kewl – a cave full of turrets. Or tanks! Tanks aren’t even an enemy group! There are tanks currently roaming the streets of Rikti War Zone. But those ones must be Swiss tanks, ‘cause they’re wandering around all neutral and junk. Ya know, they could be made to shoot exploding destruction at you. It’d be fun. Lets try it.
  9. One of the more requested costume pieces is the infamous robe. And one of the arguments of creating such a piece has been that the bottom half of the robe distorts when emotes, like jumping jacks or warm-up, are executed. Long garbs, like those worn by CoT Mages or Tsoo Sorcerers, are not made to be stretched so wildly. I have a costume piece suggestion that could possibly solve this dilemma. Although it wouldn’t literally be a robe, it could work aesthetically for those yearning for that look.

Solution: Introducing the Sybil costume! But for this case the focus is on the long fabric piece that falls from the front of the belt. Market it as a belt piece. That way you could combine it with the skirt or the kilt and achieve that long garment feel. Also combine with the Trenchcoat or the Magic Bolero and Voila! A makeshift robe!

This long fabric belt piece may allow for the leg room needed to perform all emotes. Lemme know what you think. Thanks.
  10. I have two main solutions for some of the lag issues that arise when one even gets within 200 yards of the Lag Market, excuse me, I mean Black Market.

Unfortunately for most, the game crashes as soon as we click on the dealer. Maybe it’s due to our systems trying to process the powers of others, their character auras, as well as compute the constant updating of the market itself. Some toons choose to have powers toggled all the time, like psychic shockwave on auto, shadowfall, cloudy mist, force fields, etc. We could do without these powers while we conduct business, in my opinion.

These are my possible lag-relieving solutions:

BM:sol.1 = Create a Dead Zone. Powers automatically turn off once one enters the 50 – 75 yard radius surrounding the BM.

BM:sol.2 = Adjust BM Window. Once the consignment window opens, the first thing it does is list everything the market has to sell in the right panel. What if we simply leave that panel blank? No need to have it all displayed at once, the left panel is user-friendly enough for searching for any specific item.

Lemme know what you think or offer any solutions that may remedy the Lag Market issue.
  11. Scenario: you’ve entered the Arena building, what do you hear? Nothing. You look around, what do you see? Nobody. That’s sad. Such a large, map-hogging building should create much more commotion. Some solutions:

Arena:sol.1 = Giant Monsters. So you’ve got all these gladiators, right? And you’ve pitted them against your friend’s glads. That was fun. But now what? Why not battle them against A GIANT MONSTER! RAWR! Use any that are currently terrorizing the zones, or create a new one!

Arena:sol.2 = Races. What if you could climb inside a Longbow Chaser, or Arachnos Flyer, choose the color of the vehicle, and challenge your friends to a race? How about a race around the streets of St. Martial? Or navigate you’re way through the Faultines’ treacherous, uh, fault lines? Or maneuver your way through the passages of Steel Canyon? The maps are there for the racing!

Could do a ground race too, I suppose. Race Arachnos Tarantulas or Longbow Mechs?

Arena:sol.3 = Mech Battles. What if you are given a robot? What if your friend was given a robot too? Well, the most logical thing to do is PIT THEM AGAINST EACH OTHER! That’s right! Mech Battles. Each time you win some sort of Arena event you get some kind of ticket/merit/token thingy (oh no! another reward system!). You could then use the Arena store and buy accessories for you robot. A new head? Wings? Maybe a more powerful laser? The possibilities are endless!

Of course, your reward for winning any of these suggested new Arena Events would result in a new badges (badge-hunters rejoice!).

Thanks. Please leave your comments, suggestions, feedback.
  12. What a glorious day it was earning the Master of Lord Recluse’s SF badge. I proudly wear it as my badge title. But wouldn’t it also be glorious to earn a “Master of” on any SF? Even better, wouldn’t it be magnificent to earn an Accolade as a result of such feats?

Now, I understand the problem of “What if there is a new SF introduced? Wouldn’t that affect the Accolade goals?” Well, not if the Accolade objectives are clearly defined. Now, I’m talking strictly from a Villain perspective. I only have 4 lowbie heroes out of my 20 toons. Besides, Heroes have the Task Force Commander Accolade. As for Villains, completion of the following is required:

Master of The Beast Beneath the Mountain SF (lvl 15-20)
Master of Pirates of the Sky SF (lvl 20-25)
Master of The Temple of the Waters SF (lvl 25-30)
Master of (A Wonderful new lvl 30-35 SF, perhaps?) <-------
Master of The Crystal of Serafina SF (lvl 35-39)
Master of (The Amazing New lvl 40-45 SF! Woo-Hoo!) <------
    And everybody’s favorite:
Master of Lord Recluse’s Strike Force (lvl 45-50)

Huh? Huh? Tempting, eh? Let’s start the discussions! All feedback and comments are encouraged!
  13. Everyone loves an SF. On a boring Saturday afternoon, one thing that can usually get a group going is the suggestion of running an SF. They provide epic storylines, challenging scenarios and the grand finale is usually pretty grand. But Villain-side seems to fall short in this department. Not to say their SFs aren’t grand, but the choices are few. Let me show you:

    Heroes : 14 Task Forces
    Villains : 5 Strike Forces

I have a proposition for the writers of CoV: Create an SF for each of the Villain Patrons. But! Allow for choices at the very end. Much like that which is given upon mission completion of Valentine- or Winter-Event missions. Allow the player the choice between Reward Merits, Badge, or Costume Pieces.

Here is what I suggest for the choices for each Patron SF:

    -- Ghost Widow --
    Corset (chest detail)
    High Collar (head detail)
    Badge
    30 Reward Merits

    -- Scirocco --
Skirt/Wrap Thingy that he wears (Bottom option)
    Mu Guardian Shoulders (shoulders)
    Badge
    30 Reward Merits

    -- Black Scorpion --
    Riveted Shoulder Armor (shoulder)
    Blaster Cannon (gloves)
    Badge
    30 Reward Merits

    -- Captian Mako --
Coralax Back Spines (back detail or chest piece)
    Coralax Gloves (gloves)
    Badge
    30 Reward Merits

A costume piece option upon the completion of the current Lord Recluse SF could be included alongside the choices of Reward Merits and Hami’s. A face plate or new helmet, perhaps? But one thing that definitely needs adjusted is the 25 merits rewarded at the end. Defeating 8 SuperHeroes is difficult work. And besides, Lord Recluse is the top-dog Villain-side, why not at least 50 merits?

I do hope my suggestions are thought provoking and get those creative gears turning. Please let me know what you think. All comments and feedback are appreciated.
