I much prefer the idea of generating a new game engine vs trying to license the old one

Voodoo Girl will be standing at Fort Darwin, near where Kalinda was, which is where I spent year standing on Victory actively seeking new recruits.
Ellen Akres, my first toon (emp defender), will probably be parked in Atlas Park; either in the Garden Dome or on the balcony of city hall.
The rest - I will try to make sure to have one hero or villain logged out in each of the major zones blue and red side -
I was literally logging out of Wurm Online (obsessively crafting/improving/repairing) and I hit "New Posts" on the forums and Zwill's came up.

Don't forget Kyote

I'd like to propose that whichever way it happens - CoH 1 being saved or CoH 2 being created by the players, the name of the first Issue should be "Resurrection."
-
I believe if CoH 1 can't be saved than CoH 2 or our version of "it" could be manifested.
I command all of you to download Blender and become familiar with it. -
CoH set a very high bar with character creation when it launched and to this day no other MMO has come that has come close to truly rivaling it.

For me it was i20 Beta. I got the invite and NDA on my birthday and I was so excited for it. I just had no idea that we'd be in it for so long. That we'd also be involved with i19 CB and have to act dumb about i20. We also covertly created a global channel on Live - much to Positron's chagrin - Underground Online - so we could arrange iTrial runs via Live and not just the Closed Beta forums.
I20 Beta was a blast. When I willfully quit my job of 5+ years to regain some bits of my sanity, I literally lived on the Beta Server. When BAF and Lambda had their "previews" I was excited. I was also a bit evil. I wanted people to really encounter a tough challenge. I had no idea that those two - which to us in September 2010, with no iPowers, were an intense challenge - would become ROFLSTOMPS in under a year.
So my greatest moment was getting to be a part of the group that tested those and the fervent dedicated effort of my fellow testers to make them amazing.
I still miss i20 Beta -
I've seen it done before where the players basically bought the IP/software/servers from the parent company and have kept it alive.
14 years later it's still around (I checked like 2 months ago - it's still alive.) -
Since I don't believe we are being "monitored" anymore...
To the OP:
-
What the hell. YOU?! I was wondering where the hell you went.
-
Since CoH is shutting down and I've always wanted to share these - well - now's the time!
I've replaced the exact name of the Moderator with asteriks - but these are a few of my favorite exchanges I had when getting modsmacked

I am proud to have been a part of this gaming community on/off since 2004. I have always known that my second family was always out there, intangible, but there.
Through my bankruptcy, evictions, car accidents, job switches, deaths, births, vacations, psychotic breaks.
I am also grateful, incredibly grateful, to the people who made this game and made it ******* amazing. I sound like a mad person when I tried to explain to people in real life how rare it is to have developers that actively listen and communicate with their players.
I am also proud to have been a part of a rare online community of gamers who never said "Oh, pfft, we're so much better and elite than you. Fark off," but instead always said to new players, "Welcome. We're going to make you amazing, if not better than us."
I am proud to have played with all of you -
I can live in my head and pretend someone will be there.
-
I feel lost - this has been my online community for 8 years.
I might not touch another MMO - well, maybe Wurm - but that's like a giant solo experience. -
...on Beta at least.
I don't think it's possible, but it would be an interesting 23 day event on Beta where each day was rolled back to Issue 1 and each day was patched to the following Issue (i.e. Day One is rolled back to Issue 1, then day 2 is patched to Issue 2, day 3 is patched to Issue 3, and so on.) This way we could re-experience the growth of the game through each Issue release and really once again appreciate the development of the game over the years
