...is finally done. What I thought would take like, oh, four days, turned into 3 weeks.
The inspiration was the idea of the servers finally shutting down and all that data just... going away.
My SaveCOH video
I set really high expectations, way beyond my skill level with Blender. Like that blasted ****'ing tornado sequence. I had in my mind a lot of things but I am still proud of what I was able to make. -
Thank you all who came last night - it was an awesome run - and I'm glad I demorecorded it
-
Not a big badger myself and I've long forgotten the requirements for it - but we can try
-
Where: RWZ
When: 9PM EST (please arrive at 8:50PM EST)
Who: YOU!
RSVP below - see you then! -
Awesome. Even after/if/never when the servers shut down I could still run the Beta client on my PC and do this with old demo files, I believe.
-
They are missing their URL location (i.e http://____)
-
I'd like the TonyV community center added to Atlas Park.

A part of me wants to send the offices in Korea copies of Rosetta Stone so they can fully understand the scope of my rage when I call them on the phone to demand an explanation for this. They have the gall to disrespect their customers and then insult us by trying to convince us to play a far inferior game?

Oh, Arcana - I finally figured out what the ***** texture image is - it's a texture file for a male hair piece. Forgot the name of it - one of the original ones, parted in the middle, jaw length.

Quote:AwesomeFigures: I threw that picture together in 2 minutes to show that you could use any bitmap, rendered it in low quality just to get it out there, and THAT is the picture everybody likes.
ALL of them? Quite trivial with a Perl script. Throwing this together in the thread without testing, but it should work:
Code:open(INFILE,"<demo.cohdemo"); open(OUTFILE,">outputdemo.cohdemo"); while ($in = <INFILE>) { print OUTFILE $in if (!($in =~ / FX | FXSCALE | ORIGIN | TARGET /)); } close(OUTFILE); close(INFILE);
Got it to work! You just saved me hours of individually removing thousands of flat planes in Blender3D!

I was at work and I can't believe I missed the chance to pitch in! Even I'm speechless.

*.obj files can carry texture/material/UV information. They carry the UV mapping information AFAIK in the file and the paths to where the Textures/Materials are stored on the harddrive.

I know a lot about red neckinizin' it y'all
-
I am looking at Shapeways as a printing option since you can upload Obj or Collada files.
-
Glad to make you moist.

One direction is to take a handful of your characters and follow them from their origins and lead them through the Golden/Silver/Bronze/Iron Ages as you see it in Paragon City until the End-Of-The-World event (leave on an optimistic note, if it is possible.)
Try to do 50,000 but aim for 120,000 words -
Leandro, a bit random, do you know if there is a way to quickly remove gfx and auras from demo files?
-
Come to think of it...
...we could possibly print those Ascension armor pieces... to wear... -
Capes would need to be given some depth, but not much. Using a cloth simulator where parts of the cape can rest on the figure will help in supporting.
I have my eye set on using Shapeways as a printing option and the process they use would allow, I think, for a capes without much support at the bottom. -
A higher resolution helps to create a smoother figure when printing.
-
Have you tried using the Shader Editor that with the OGLE package and see if data gets jumbled on the export?
-
It's possible to even print in a "shadow box" so to speak. Character busts are entirely possibly. I'd be interested in reprinting miniatures of zones - like Grandville.
-
This is also a floor & wall concept. If you want multiple characters (smaller print) or a "scene" to print.
