Yes, that's the point. Wife thought it was Cera while watching the movie. I, at first, thought it was when I briefly saw a trailer for it.

Any movie that has a teenager in an awkward romantic/heroic/everyday setting......Micheal Cera is the first to come to mind. No matter how good the person that actually played the role did, I still envision Cera. I don't care if he's type-cast for the rest of his life; he plays that role PERFECTLY.

Examples include Zombieland, Role Models and last night's viewing of Kick *** for the first time.

You're new here (if not, let's say you are), but Mental is known to be an uber fanboi, listens to tween pop music even though he's an old man, and shows signs of massive mood swings. He's perpetually contradictory. And we are all use to Mental not explaining himself very well. But that's why we let him stay.

Otherwise, it's more of a case I'm pointing out his contradictions and interjecting my slight annoyance at the expansion as a whole (for this and other reasons).

As I said, I have no dog in the fight regarding what Shamster makes up to do for the next Isolators.

And with anything I reply with, make sure to throw in as many anywhere and as often as you like. I'm usually too lazy to put them in as often as they should be.

No. That's why I quoted two things. If you had different meanings behind different statements, so be it.

That just makes you a charlatan and a liar

You first ask how fast the group will GET THROUGH the experience, and then say it'd be a shame to skip it with Isolators......

This kind of group is NOT the best to really get behind the "experience", unless you just mean to blow through it and say you did it, kind of. You can't read the missions/details, or even really "explore".

IMO, the new "world" is not group friendly, at least the first time, if you really care about the *content*. Both blue and red side have been done ad nauseam, but you still can't do everything on either side as a team; it gets outleveled way too easily. There is a lot of stuff in GR/Praetoria, and it's no exception.

Let's be honest.....boredom isn't necessarily born out of "cheating". I don't think any regulars for this past session showed any signs of playing outside the group *shrug* Not dying and being an awesome player out pace any middling cheating any way, trust me

And let's face it, Tonto set the bar for "cheating" way back when, and no one has ever come close to that abhorrent travesty.

    Just throwing that out there.
I can honestly say I am not behind most of the changes that occur on the forums.....this change being one of the worst

Was a much better place way back than Lanna.

BTW, he prefers to go by "SHamster" now, to avoid confusion.
  8. For as long as I can remember, and specifically during the golden age of Isolators, there has been a long standing tradition that doesn't appear to repeat itself this year, and possibly never again.......

Every year, for at least a week, the redneck and the cow would somehow bring up and discuss "Shark Week". Now this bored me greatly, but it felt natural. And it was like clockwork. I assume it happened about the same time every year, but whatever amount of time passed between events, when it was brought up again, it was like no time had passed at all. What made this phenomenon really interesting was not that both the redneck and the cow were actually playing.....but they were both actually on the same team.

I guess it was a simpler time, where tradition mattered. Not like these days and these newfangled changes to the world we play in. I kind of miss the old days.

Having more characters open to doing ALL the TF/SF's is a major bonus for me.
And one of the biggest downsides of GR for the rest of the server
  11. I've been able to re-log by closing the client and re-launching. I'm 3 for 3 doing it that way.

Just logging off a character and then signing back in gives me the log in error every time now, but wasn't having this issue this morning.

    YMMV

The way I've been logging in for the longest time is to use the special short-cut to bypass the updater and just launch the client directly. But yesterday, after the maintenance, it kept saying to check my network, etc. And refused to log in.

I eventually decided to try running it from the updater once. While it didn't download any new patch, I was able to log in afterward without fail. I even restarted the game with my short-cut to bypass the updater and I was still able to log in.

My guess is since they changed the IP addresses for the servers, the updater will 'fix' the client to use the new IPs, instead of the old ones.
Ditto for me. First time trying to log in since yesterday's outtage, and was stuck on the login screen.

    Thanks for the reminder
  17. I've never pictured Pilgrim as a stick figure cartoon character.

    But I will now.

Because I can: Wouldn't the opposite be "not asking people to not talk about stuff they can't talk about"? Which might actually be what he is doing........

  19. Should be around. If its a true Master run, I'll bring the Veat. If it turns into just a regular run, gonna bring a Demoner.

Since I was thought of 2nd, behind mental of all people, I'm just not gonna try very hard though......
