I feel silly for just using Notepad

Quote:This week was a little off due to the TF choices being meh. Next two weeks offer a slightly better choice IMO; will be doing 1 of each, and then seeing interest for iTrials after the TF. I'll probably go back to it just being a Tuesday thing.Well got Lore unlocked right at the end. Looking for some Lambda now.
As for the Tuesday TF, should you focus on the TF part? The trials seem to fill with all the people looking. And not a huge percent post to he forums here. Eh, whichever you decide.
There is still the shiny aspect and people just scrambling to get in on whatever they can as soon as possible with the iTrials. Personally, I can't stand logging in without a plan of what to at least try for with as little down time as possible. Hence why I keep on with this experiment. -
A couple of reports of people not getting one or more of the temp power badges even though they did what is reportedly correct.
Did you get all 3 badges regarding the temp powers? 10 nades but not using 1, 10 acids but not using 1, and the usual culprit is Well stocked (10 of each and using none)?
Curious if they are tied directly to the two maps, or if they include the temp powers outside. -
Why is Mental imagining being married to me?
Using forums to field a team went okay; a BAF team started up and I was able to broker spots for everyone and we ran that a few times. Getting either trial up and running wouldn't have been a problem. I'll try again for next week; getting at least enough for a team helps speed things along quickly.
Wednesday's are generally slower so we'll see what happens.@ stupid weekly groups pilfering people who'd rather be doing this but feel some innate responsibility to stick with it.
Edit: Due to the runs last night and some converting of uneeded Uncommons, was able to slot T3 Lore. So I'm very anxious to get back in. Will be looking to run Lambdas tonight mostly, but am up for whatever. Need a few more so I can slot T3 of the other powers; personally won't be doing any T4s for awhile, depending on how long the few badges I need take. -
Quote:My game is runs smooth and every graphical effect is at max value....and I've never seen the actual jumps either. I see the wording, but no graphic.Maybe something is wrong with my video card, but the chain portion of the attack is barely visible. Maybe a white haze, but I definitely don't see bolts hitting everyone.
Pyro and Void both look amazing however. -

Remember that this is an experiment since iTrials are a little different in regard to team forming. Will fill for a Lambda or the team will join an available BAF. Teams may be switched around if joining others for a trial, but can reform afterwards if doing more.

I went from "dear god no" to .... alright, that's helpful.

I think it was Wednesday and by the time I logged on, enough trials were running that I missed the boat. I used the LFG as a lark; the time never changes that I've seen and I do not know if the search feature, while already on a league and in the trial, shows who is LFG. Anyway, I was pulled into a Lambda fairly shortly (again the timer never changed) and 9 of us ran around and did what we could. Otherwise, I don't think it's working correctly for most of the time. I only tried it again once, maybe twice more, but only for a couple of mintues before I just joined one being announced.
When using the LFG, it's recommended to do "first available" and "willing to join in progress". If either setting works or matters is anyone's guess.
Regarding globals, and I know there is a lot going on, but it sure seems damned quiet when a bunch of iTrials are going on. I personally have used globals to ask/answer questions *while* having Raid star and otherwise participating and have used Globals to announce a time when the iTrial I'm on is close to finishing to allow others to switch/zone in for another run. Hopefully when people aren't feeling "overwhelmed"?, they'll do the same. *shrug* Though I'm sure there is still traffic on the seclusive channels, but that doesn't really do much as a whole. -
Quote:I've treated the Incarnate stuff as a filter; I only got Alpha unlocked/slotted on a handful of characters I know I still enjoy playing. I then filtered from there and only got 3T on most of those, but not all. I only did one 4T on a character for the badge and have no interest in it for others.Still trying to get all my 50s level shifted.... Almost seems like an exercise in futility at times to get them all done.
With this addition, I'm only working on the badger and won't really be playing others until he's done. Getting 4Ts will be pretty limiting for the time/effort/worth aspects. After him, from the ones Alpha shifted, I will shift to another and focus individually. Remember, Destiny/Lore shifts only apply while in the iTrials so you have to figure how important that is to you.
Any other incarnate additions will be further filtered. YMMV. I don't play a lot but maximize my time and it works for me.
Either way, on topic, I'll be holding a spot for you now and don't you dare disappoint me -
Something has got to be up with the Acid temps; every single run, all 10 gotten, and magically everyone is claiming they used one or don't have any with at least 3 portals still up. Every time. After repeated requests in team and bcast to check the temp power window regardless of what team you should have been going after, we've had to still hit the new containment pod spawns to get rid of the last few portals. Very easy to blame human error, not paying attention, incompetence, etc.....but I really think something else is going on.
They need to be put somewhere else or accessed more easily; having to scroll through the whole window (and by god I have a lot of stuff in the power window) is inefficient. They do not always go into an empty spot in the default power tray automatically and I don't believe they will go into any extra power trays automatically whatsoever.
Other than that aspect, I'm loving both trials. Lambda is a cake walk now (other than the temp power issue), and the easiest part of BAF seems to be the part where it breaks down more often than not (escapees); I think too many runs are putting too many eggs in one basket for taking care of runners. Some other issues with BAF, but I'm attributing it to it still being new. People will calm down in another week or so. -
Farming is fine and all, but it depends on raid make-up.
FYI, if you haven't used the feature, a pre-made team can be invited into a league as a whole. It's a nice feature, and for what I'm trying, will be used if necessary.
Raid window is still a bit clunky IMO. -
Quote:/chat_set b and r for Broadcast and Request is what is currently being used. What is the bind that you're currently using to do this? I'm guessing that it is /chat_set, but it would be good to make sure.
If that's the command you're using, try this:
/bind control+I chat_set g
I tried chat_set league / lc / league_chat, but get various errors.
I'll try just g next, but isn't that already used for something?
Edit: yep, g did the trick. How the hell would I have stumbled on that? O.o
Thanks -
Anyone else gotten the table (in Lambda at least) with 2 uncommon and 2 rare choices?
-
I'm not finding a way to bind a key (ie ctrl+l) to allow me to switch to League chat so I can respond within the league window; I currently have to use shift+A which is "current tab" after I click in the league window.
The following show up within the game as viable commands to be used in the fashion I want, but I've yet to get them to actually work and usually spit out an error.
/league
/league_chat
/lc
Trying to use the same binds for switching between Broadcast, Request, etc while trying to use the above also does not work.
I can't use the same bind I use to switch over to a global channel because the game specifically says something along the lines of not belonging to a league channel (not the same as being in a league, which I have been in numerous times trying out the various binds).
Ideas?
Thanks. -
Quote:Don't sound so enthusiastic about itUgh, I will be in. RL is hammering me with job stuff. Only done 1 Lambda and 1 BAF on 1 toon. At this rate I may (only) unlock one of the new slots by Easter, let alone slot it.
3 - 4 Lambda runs will unlock Interface, and another 3 - 4 should unlock Destiny via the iXP for Lambda. I imagine it's about the same for BAF, but I think unlocking BAF's stuff goes a little faster. It can go a bit faster if you convert Inf + Shards, but I only did that because I just wanted to unlock them/play with it. I don't recommend it. Completing various objections, defeating mobs, and the reward table will get you stuff to use or hold for whatever it is you are trying to unlock. Thread drops are at an okay-drop level; faster than shards, but you need more threads to make stuff. *shrug* The various powers sure are nifty though. -
We'll see how this goes. The faster teams are made, the more we can cram in. As of yet have only done BAF once, but several Lambdas, even "leading" a few to victory (Patient might object
). Lambdas have been going about 30 minutes with what I've been doing.
Currently not concerned with the various badges but wanting to build up incarnate l3wt to slot with.
I will be on X minutes before filling from what I can for any empty spots. If you are not ready, on the team, by 830, I will be looking to replace you. I'm flexible regarding which iTrials to run so depends on number of people interested.
I've found it useful to make a macro/bind for finding the CACHE for Lambda; I hate that map and it's clutter so damn much. I even have macros I hope to try out before then as well.
Anyway, if interested, let's get it on.
4/12 - Tuesday - STARTING 830 PM EST - iTrial
1 Me - Scrapper +2
2 Penny
3 John
4 Mental
5 TYCHO!
Since next week is just Sissy P, I'll be doing more iTrials for Wednesday the 13th if interested. Same deal as above.

Quote:You are a charlatan and a damned liar!I can get 17 mines and 6 poison traps out at once, I'll put them directly on the path in a huge cluster so we'll see next run...
(reading stuff intentionally different from how it was meant makes me smile.....making people unintentionally read things differently from how it was meant gives me chills) -
LR isn't a toggle.
I'm thinking it has to do with pulse versus static ground-based powers. EQ works (confirmation on that needed, I'm pretty sure I saw the LTs popped up and down a couple of times), and it pulses.
Quicksand and Tar patch are static? Confirmation on trip mine working or not is needed, and I *think* it's a static effect triggered by proximity. Poison trap is static, and curious if it would have any effect if it can be triggered (more for the -regen for the hell of it?). The electrical control patch is a pulse and a rapid sleep dot, so curious if that would have an effect.
I'd imagine all of this would have been hashed out in beta, but I'm too lazy to search. -

Take me off ignore and I can tell you loads of stuff about anything you could possibly want to know
-
There are two prisoner types, minions and LTs. Not sure of the minion names, but the LTs are Commandos. The minions are completely susceptible to all forms of control (slows, holds, mez, immobs, everything and etc) the LTs are not ( except at least Lingering Rad, but waiting on more confirmation regarding slows and various ground-based powers.)
Minions should never, ever be of any concern if the control powers are maintained at the spawn points. -
