Hmm...this calls for a recharge intensive build....
OOOO, and I wonder, with this and power sink, if I won't need Stamina at all...hmmm.... -
Son of a %@@#%#@
Damn it!
Now I have to Rework my build...
AGAIN!
*grumbles: Never gonna be satisfied with my brute build*
Oh, also.
WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO -

Quote:Personally, I find that animation to be semi awkward. I may be weird, or in the minority here, and I understand why they did it that way...I'd be happy if they allowed us to do the animation that shield users have, its really not that bad of an animation and its something new to add to the list of animations and it already exists in game.
...but...
it's like "squat, rip, toss"...
it feels awkward to me. -

So, as I do when I don't feel like playing, but I'm bored, I tinker with builds and come up with ideas for new characters. With the new animations coming out, I've been getting more ideas.
But something irked me. There is no alternative animation for Hurl in the Super Strength set.
To keep a random story short and sensible, I thought of something.
I wonder if it would be possible if the alternate animation could be like almost a side arm throw of the chunk you just lifted out. One handed or two.
Like, instead of lifting it over your head, you pull it out of the ground, step forward and chuck it sideways?
I was kinda disappointed to see no alt animation for it, and I did a quick scan to see if there was a SS thread to post it there but either I missed it or didn't see it.
No bother.
Random thought.
Just wanted to say it before I lost it.
What do you guys think? -

The Ground-Punch footstomp will look very awesome with /Shield

It does give you the option of having a non-Tae Kwon Do martial artist though. Which I definitely like.

Now only if Cobra Strike actually did some damage, It'd be awesome. -

The Eagle's Claw alternate is just bad.
[/ QUOTE ]
At least it isn't something you'd see in the movie Zohan.

If you get on Beta, say something about it. Footstomp got a sweet alternate, Eagle's Claw should too. -
Nice, nice.
Super Strength looks interesting for sure, but I might be making my first scrapper with this.
Unless it comes to brutes :-D -
O.o
125 Million?
I think the only time I've ever seen that much in game money on me at one time is when I sold a Purple...
Time to do some redecorating of the base I suppose!
Thanks for the answers guys.
Edit: Growing apart from my high school car sucked -
Heh, I've heard about them before.
I was just baffled that there was no...midway gear.
Stuff that is inbetween the 200K and 25k stuff -

Broken Prey mentioned something about BABs saying the alternates are all punches, so...

Yes I do and Here is the post by BAB

As for Martial Arts, the alternate animations we have right now are mainly punches. The idea was to provide you guys with a way to make the classic, fights with their fists and feet, super-hero that many have been asking for. That includes a new animation for assassin's strike (Assassin's Blow?).

This change to Martial Arts makes me want the set for Brutes that much more. -
Heh, When Issue 16 drops, I'll have some alts to toss into the VG like my AR/TA/Mace, Plant/Earth/Lev and Claws/Stone brute.
the crazy thing is, I already have two teleport pads. Should I maybe delete one of my teleport rooms for the Generator Cost? -
I will admit, first of all, that I am COMPLETELY new to base building, but I've managed to get a decent sized base up and running Redside by myself, with only my prestige and good luck to help me.
I got to the point in my base building where i said to myself: "Alright Vojin, start to build some bigger stuff here. Let's move away from the Oversight Center and the Combo Power/Control Unit into separate entities."
So, with the 100K Prestige I had, I built an energy room. I was excited. Ya know, first step towards building a more complete and interesting base...
Until...I saw the price for the smallest Generator.
200K prestige.
O.o
Why is there such a large jump in prices? I mean, I understand trying to create a team environment and getting more people in your SG/VG, etc. etc.
but the combo unit is 25K, then the step up is 200K?
That's like a 9-5 employee going car shopping and thinking: "Man, I really hate this Pontiac Sunfire I am still driving....Let's get a Bentley" when in reality, all he needs is like a Ford Focus or something (I had to look up these car names, so if the Ford Focus is crappier than the Sunfire, i apologize, but I think you know what I mean [side note: my old Sunfire was a beast, drove it up 160,000 with no major issues till 148,000])
I'm just wondering why there are no steps up. Why such a huge jump?
I can say, for me, that would really increase my interest in base building if I didn't have to jump so far in prices and could actually step up slowly. Ya know, like building improvements to a house. You just don't add a four car garage in place of your single car garage on your ranch house, you slowly add onto that house.
I ehno, maybe this is insane rambling, but can anyone explain to me the drastic jump?
Thanks.
Oh, and HI D.H.! -
On my Sonic/Energy/Psi (build 1 [battle field control]), I use TK liberally when I am in offices or buildings that can't get NPCs caught in them easily. Usually, when the tank/scrappers start to run in, i get behind them and start pushing the enemies into the corner right before they grab the attention of everyone.
That's 5 less enemies hitting the Alpha Soaker with the first barrage, which can be really useful since I, in this build, do not have any ability to heal my teammates. I also find it useful for rounding up loose enemies in larger maps, i.e. last time I used it was in the mish where Malta are taking the Cim castle. We had a 5 man team and the enemies were sort of spread out. I used TK to push the enemies towards the Shield/ Tanker.
It can be useful to split up difficult spawns if you see your team losing health quickly and you can survive 5 pissed off enemies for a moment.
But fair warning, it takes practice and using it too much will anger teammates.
Yet with Sonic Repulsion and TK, I've gotten a lot of practice with mob manipulation on this character.
Yes, I have Sonic Repulsion on my Sonic/ENERGY BLAST/* defender. -

I don't seem to associate claws with a brute, I thought Broadsword was more fitting a brute.

HA!
No one is going to stop me from making my AR/TA/Mace Corr, :-D
But yeah, it would be interesting to see different animations for Trick Arrow, like different ways of holding the bow and such.
