I'm trying not to get my hopes up.
-
Okay, so I'm 25 now and just did my first Flashback Arc. I;m curious, do I not get the massive chunk of exp I usually get after finishing an arc if I do it via Flashbacks?
-
Has this been fixed? >> I'd like to know before I log in.
-
Forgot to mention, I'm on Virtue. I'm basically stuck til this is fixed.
-
This is the first time I've had any lag issues with the game, and was even playing in this same zone just hours earlier, but right now Sharkshead Isle os lagging so badly every 5 seconds or so the mapserver message appears and you get rubber banded back.
-
Being new to the game, all of the contacts are new content and I want to experience them all. However, I'd also like to get at least one character to the level cap as quickly as I can via soloing.
My question is, is the experience gained by using the Flashback system in Ouroboros comparable to that which I'd get via moving from zone to zone meeting new contacts?
Thanks. -
You might need to be a bit more specific.

Has anyone figured out a way to have the Steam overlay in game with the new launcher, yet? I really want it tot rack my playtime and let me chat without having to alt tab. =/
As it is now, it says I'm playing when it first launches the NCsoft launcher, but once CoH itself loads it says I'm not playing anything. -
I had the NCsoft launcher installed prior to all this, though.

So, up until today I've been playing CoX through Steam (having purchased it through there) just fine. Today, however, whenever I try to launch the game I get the "This game is currently unavailable" shpiel. Can someone help me out? Is there anyway to run it through Steam again (I like tracking my playtime) or do I have to use the other launcher?

I'll try that, then. I got a good height with one of my characters but have somehow made every one after him a giant, even though I try not to. It's hard to gauge a character's height without NPCs or other characters around to compare it to.
-
So, the fact that I'm either towering over or a full foot shorter than most people is driving me crazy. Can you guys suggest a height for an -average, human male-?
And.. I mean average in CoH. Apparently being just over six feet makes you a little person in this game. -
No problem. My character -is- a redeemed villain, but if you have others vying for the spot feel free to give them the spot. I'm content to take the couples thing and just be part of the team.
-
I've convinced my girlfriend to susbcribe, so chalk me up for the redeemed villain and also the couple. =P I'll PM you the details once we both make our characters.
-
Is there a level requirement? Do you just need them as part of the super group and RP, or do you expect them to do group content as well?
I'm very new to the game, and very much a soloist, so if that was okay I might be interested in being the redeemed villain or vigilante.
Edit: I'm trying to convince my girlfriend to play, so she might join me and we might be able to fill the couple role too. -
I don't see anything wrong with it, honestly.

The fact that "VIP" players feel the need to cloister themselves away on their own server is sad. Those that run around doomsaying that F2P players are universally terrible couldn't be more wrong. You should be staying on your home servers, encouraging and showing new players why CoH's community is better than the average MMO, not acting like elitist ponces.

Mmkay, so I decided to play on Virtue when I heard it was the unofficial RP server, and I was curious. I'm currently in Praetoria doing the 1-20 in order to be able to start my characters wherever I please, and I'm using every chance I can to present myself as an RPer: I'll walk when there's nothing pressing to deal with, I've filled out my ID card with a physical description, I emote at many people that I pass by or that pass me by.
Problem is, since starting yesterday I haven't met a single other roleplayer, just people who use the ID cards to enter some sort of quote or inane factoid about where they stole their character from. Is it just because I'm in Praetoria? Can I look forward to a much denser concentration of roleplayers when I leave?
Also, is there anywhere I can go to search for a supergroup that would fit my character?
Thanks in advance! -
Hey guys, I just bought the game and I'm rushing here to ask this question while the game updates, because I've been lurking on the forums and what I've read has been kind of alarming.
I'm a completionist, and I really like to immerse myself in the game. I'm also very much a solo player. I'll group, but I spend most of my time on my own. That said, I've read that you can miss out on a great deal of the content in the game by outlevelling it. This is startling for me.. I don't care about rewards, I just want to see and do everything. Is this true?
