Quote:You're missing the point. While every lucky stiff who has actually "earned" their incarnate stuff through the RNG system, I've had to spend all my EMP merits to get it. Which means while all the lucky souls who were blessed by RNG get to enjoy the new pretties, I'm stuck STILL grinding my face off on these lag-tastic trials hoping to get lucky AND earn enough merits to catch up. And don't get me wrong. The iTrials are cool. But after the 100th time running them and still getting jack, it gets old fast....And I quote SinisterDirge>>>
we got a third trial to run .. people were screaming for more content because of the repetition with only 2.
They improved buffing for a number of sets to make life easier and let people actually enjoy playing the game again.
We got a new system that will allow us to share threads, A & E Merits etc with our other characters
and your only comment is essentially .. Unfair it will take forever before I can buy the new armor? Don't get me wrong the new shinies look nice and eventually I will acquire them but I am pretty much happy with the 5 outfits I have on my 50 levels now so I'll be slotting other heroes as I can long before I worry about the AURA trailing along behind me.
I know what you mean.. Lag has sort of forced me to stop doing the BAF and about the bast I usually see on the Lmabda is uncommon and OCCASIONALLY a rare .. very very very occasionally. Hopefully that will change but until it does at least we have a lot of new stuff to enjoy. -
Wait. So for those of us who have essentially forced to use our Empyrean merits for incarnate stuff because the RNG hates us will probably not be able to afford the shiny new costume things any time soon? Oh joy. Thanks RNG......

Speaking of secondary effects, DB also sports some fairly solid mitigation from knockdown. Of course, I've got a KD proc in all my ST attacks that don't already do so, so it isn't uncommon to be able to juggle mobs for me.
-
The container stays. I've also found that following up with Dimension Shift on the freshly moved mobs helps quite a bit too.

Quote:Echoing this, but instead of the tank, put in a traps corr and in place of the kin, put in a PB. I'm sorry, but when I can basically log in my PB whenever I "feel like" getting a rare and yet never see one on my main (who I play A LOT more), I seriously doubt that random is random.I don't believe it. There may be a random component to the metric, but there is clearly something else at work.
My fire/stone tank did roughly 150 trials and got one Very Rare and eight Rares. No thread table.
My elec/kin troller has done 18 trials and has got one Very Rare and fifteen Rares. No thread table.
I suppose it could be random, but I'm not seeing anything random about it. -
Quote:I heard it has to do with the alignment of the stars and the phases of the moon. The restriction has only loosened slightly. The new inherent fitness now works in them, and a handful of temp/veterean powers do (Sometimes sporadically). Incarnate Powers do work in them though.
Basically we've went from "nothing works in them" to "maybe a few things...when they feel like it". -
I think the set is just fine where it is. There is a reason that Kins are almost universally sought/welcomed to any group.
There are ATs/Powersets that needs looking at LONG before kins need help. (See: Peacebringer) -

As a traps corr, I noticed pretty quick when my trip mines turned on my league. Those poor squishies.

Thanks for your help Kitsune Knight. Much appreciated.

I'm using the NCSoft Launcher. And yeah, that's the .exe. I just couldn't remember the exact name of it since I can't see it anymore as a reference. Not exactly sure what those logs are, or how to get them though.
-
Just got finished updating for i20 here, but when I launch the game it goes through its usual launching CoH thing....... Then nothing. No error messages, no CoH.exe programs start running in my task manager, nothing.
Anyone know whats going on or having this problem too? -
Got Black Rumor up to 50 (+1) on one go of the LRSF and just need 3 more notices of the well to get that very rare. Even after crafting all that from shards, he's still got 41 of them left over.
Also got Time Tremor all 50 (+1)ed up.
Next on my to-do list is Limitless my PB. -
I ended up going through the effort to get Mace Mastery. Holy jeez what a difference! I ramped up my difficulty to +2 x2 and am regularly walking right through missions without too much difficulty.
-
I beg the differ on Demon Summoning. I feel that is probably the worst new powerset simply due to the absurd amount of noise those horrible things make. That and being very large, melee oriented pets is a real annoyance.
DP animations are gorgeous though. -
-
Thanks very much for the replies.
By the sounds of it, and from how I've been performing in large groups, it'll totally be worthwhile to go for Mace Mastery. (heck, I've already sunk how much time, effort, and inf getting to a lvl 50 perma dom, right? What's a little more time and effort?) Another benefit of going for Mace Mastery is that I'll be able to slot those other 2 LotG +rech IO's I've got kicking around.
I have thought about Ice Mastery and it would be a "best of both worlds" choice, but it wouldn't really fit with the character, plus the Ice Armor graphic doesn't do a thing for me at all. -
I'm currently running a Grav/earth dom who I've decked out into perma-dom. Thematically Mace would be my preference so I can take Scorpion Shield and PFF, but since she's a hero, It would be a long and tedious task to take her to villain side, do the arc, then take her back to hero. In the mean time, I've been going with RoF and RotP from the fire mastery pool as they're the next closest fit for theme.
I'm finding that right now my survivability is lacking due to the weak AoE mezzing of grav and the melee focus of earth. The added AoE damage from RoF is nice, but the end cost (especially when combined with earth assault) is a bit much to bare. Plus Earth Assault itself already has some solid AoE damage anyways, so the loss wouldn't be -that- bad. As nice as RotP is, it feels a little counter productive as a melee-centric perma dom in that yeah, I can get back up after getting thrashed, but then I need to rebuild domination.
My gut is telling me that the added defenses of Scorpion Shield and PFF would be a much better choice in helping to keep me from getting killed (so easily) in the first place.
So in the opinion of you more experienced dom players, is it worth the time, and effort to go red side temporarily and unlock mace? -
9 hours since I submitted a petition and nothing yet. HEck, it's been 7 hours since I've even heard from them.

This is tied to the global rollback that happened with the maintenance from last night. Screwed up a bunch of email stuff including plenty of folks losing stuff they just sent via email.
-
I lost a couple purple recipes and a few odds and ends recipes.
I got the same kinds of replies (escalated to senior support and asking which server I most recently played on before maintenance) and am waiting on them to (hopefully) correct the issue. I'm not even overly concerned about the miscellaneous recipes. I just want my purples back. -
I have 5/6 crushing impact and the KD proc. It brings a smile to my face when I AS a target and then it spends the next few seconds getting off it's butt.
