Wait, all sets coming with a ranged attack is a bad thing? The only bad thing about it is that all weapon sets are using Throwing Knives, IMO.
-
Well, I guess I should thank Super_E_Man for not knowing about this forum when he posted it. Thanks Super_E_Man! Too bad that thread got moved here.

(QR) Any idea when the Mission Teleport icon will be fixed? Or if anyone has an alternative?
(I was thinking the signage from Portal would work... but... yeah.)
[/ QUOTE ]
I could fix its appearance in the tray, but that wouldn't help much. It's not pointing at its proper icon file (which is just a temporary power-colored Teleport icon), which means that its using the default icon for powers missing their icons (that grey button with the red X or the small white square), depending on where the icon is being used. I might change it, along with the other Booster Pack powers (Self Destruction and Mystic Fortune), to something more distinct, once they have the icons working right. -
You should totally do the arcs in reverse order, just to mix things up.
-
I did some adjustments to the custom enemies in the mission; they should be generally easier to beat now, especially the end-drainy lieutenants.
-
This arc now has a souvenir, and I changed the destructible objects' description so the arc would possibly be less immersion-breaking to robotic characters.
-
So you think the Bane is too EASY? Sheesh.
I wanted to use the destroyed lab map from the mission where you fight Baphomet villainside for the finale, but it's apparently not available in the MA. You should imagine that you're in that map while you run the last mission.
-
Sure, I'd like a review of my 4-mission arc, The Knights of Rularuu. Arc 75386.
-
Thanks for the review Lazarus! I really appreciate it!
[ QUOTE ]
I would have liked to have seen more of the Bane Rularuu, maybe the group can be weighed to provide more of them as they were a bit uncommon for an arc that was featuring them so heavily.
[/ QUOTE ]
I can absolutely do that. In fact, I think I will! -
Well I'll tell you, just so you can report it too. They're from the show "Metalocalypse."
-
What you should've done is report it for content, since it blatantly uses characters from a cartoon show.
-
I think we need a new rank for custom NPC allies used in Mission Architect missions. Bosses are typically too strong and do most of the heavy lifting, and Lieutenants are typically too weak and just die uselessly. And forget about minions or Elite Bosses. However, the NPC allies present in Mender Silos's TF seem to have the perfect mix of survivability and damage. If that rank were made available to players, if would let us make much better custom arcs.
Obviously NPCs using this rank could only be used for the Ally and Hostage objectives. It would need a new name, too, since they just appear as Arch-Villain or Hero in the Mender Silos TF. -
Feedback for the arc...
It's a good one-shot mission with some funny jokes. The only thing I could really see improving is that I have no idea what the bosses are, since I played it solo. I'd probably put in some optional Boss objectives so that solo players can see them. -
Nobody actually complained about this, (I guess the humor overshadows it) but there was an EB in the mission without any proper warning. No more!
-
I'd like my latest arc to get reviewed.
Arc Name: The Knights of Rularuu
Arc ID: 75386
Faction: Malta Group, Custom Rularuu
Length: 4 missions
Morality: Heroic
Creator Global/Forum Name: @Vanden
Difficulty Level: Hard
Synopsis: Who would've thought that one of those endless Malta missions would turn up something like this? (1 AV, not recommended for weak soloists)
Estimated Time to Play: 1 hour
I don't know if you've got any of my other arcs on your list (1684, 1992, 2595), but if you do, you can go ahead and take them off. This is the one I really want reviewed. -
Well I don't know what those clues say, but it seems to me that if you were strong enough to just go straight to Mindskewer and defeat her yourself, the other aspects of your mind would restore themselves automatically. I would've just put in text to the effect of "if you can't stop Mindskewer in your state, you might have to spend some time focusing your mind to regain balance, strength, and initiative."
-
I liked the Amulet of J'Gara well enough. The plot wasn't really my cup of tea, but I recognize that it was a good one. The final mission was very well-done, but I thought the allies were pretty overpowering, especially since they were required to win. They did most of the work of beating the final boss for me.

Feedback thread here. -
I can't be sure...but I think...that may have been posted in the wrong thread.
-
I played MacGuffin Delivery service, and I have some feedback for you.
Firstly, I think you ought to utilize color more for your mission briefings, especially for the title and subtitles. Second, in several clues you have characters talking, but in others it's just the voice of your character thinking. When the text of the clue is dialog from a character, it should be in quotes, IMO.
The second mission is very well-done, kudos for that. I liked it.
The system text for the bookshelf glowie in the third mission, where you find the book with the "interesting" pictures of succubi; it gave me the impression that my character found it and lost interest in what he was looking for. Sure, slacking off to look at porn is a noble pursuit, but it doesn't seem like something I ought to be doing while invading Oranbega.
I think you used the same model of Carnie boss for all three of the ones that appeared in the arc - mix it up a little!
The enemies using the word MacGuffin in the fourth mission is really immersion-breaking; a MacGuffin is a narrative device, a tool used by a writer for a story, so while the Emerald Parakeet IS a MacGuffin, the characters in the story wouldn't consider it such. When I go to a diner to get a burger, I don't call my sandwich a MacGuffin, even though it's what motivated me to go out and live the story of my trip to the restaurant.
The story was kind of meh. It never really seemed to go anywhere, and I didn't understand why my character didn't keep trying to fence the MacGuffin in order to transfer ownership of it to someone else.
A solid arc, though not without its flaws. -
I'd like a review of The Extadine Lab.
Arc: The Extadine Lab
Arc ID: 2595
Author: Vanden
Number of Missions: 1
Description: The Carnies are working on a new drug called Extadine. Get to their lab and shut it down before it hits the streets. -
I updated this arc to fix the issue where Carnies won't spawn below 40 for heroes. The level range of the mission is now 40-54.
This arc got quite a bit of exposure when it appeared on the second page of the search window, so thanks for all the votes! -

I noticed that Rularuu Natterlings available from 41-54 have vanished from the custom group creator
[/ QUOTE ]
Separate problem. Natterlings have a power called "Merge" that allows them to combine with another Natterling to make a Bull Natterling. If you placed a Natterling as a player ally in the mission and it got hurt, it would combine... with the player. Killing it instantly.

Killing the player instantly...or making him better?
