    This!
  2. Aww! Congratulations, Smersh, she's beautiful! And to your wife (who did the hard work anyway ;D). God bless you and the little one.

You could sell it, in-character, the same way they pass off mini-games in Champions (which work, basically, exactly like that) - its all for fun and pratice, and not a real battle - basically superheroes beating each other up is a sport (which isn't too far fetched if you think how many people watch boxing... *rolleyes*).

It would certainly be a lot of fun. It does have the disadvantage though, of sort of taking away from the factional, good guys Vs. bad guys PvP that CoH seems to have been going for. I know, I know, LOLRPz, and I'm a carebear, and blah blah blah, but I LIKE that zone PvP has at least some story behind it - that you're supposedly fighting /for/ something other than just the pleasure of teabagging the other person's corpse. *le shrug*

More to the point, Arena combat will already allow you to have perfectly balanced teams - numerically and in other ways.

Oh, I happen to agree about the other things though - I haven't barely had time to even dangle my feat in the water, yet, but I13 really seems to have made the playing field more than a little bit TOO level for my taste.
  4. Wow! Unanimity on the PvP boards. I think the temperature in hell just dipped, XD.

Why, out of curiosity? Is it just the range? Not that range isnt awesome. I would have thought all the control would count for something, even if they last only 4 seconds apiece, but clearly not.

    Thanks again!
  5. The title, I guess, sort of says it all. In your expert (or not so) opinion, which class will produce the better 1v1 build - Psi/EM blaster, or Mind/Fire dominator?

I ask, of course, because I have both at the moment, and Im trying to decide which one to focus on IOing out for PvP. MY instincts tell me to stick with MOAR DAMAGE and focus on the blaster, but it never hurts to have a second opinion or twenty. Plus, funky colored fire looks kindof neet.

    Thanks so much in advance!

Take is as flattery, and, if you don't care to oblige them, ignore them instead (with the actual command, or just the old fashioned way).

Hee! I think I like this interpretation better than my own! Not everyone might necessarily feel comfortable with the drug reference though. *shrug*
  8. Fire, or Sonic, in about that order, seem appropriate for "bomb". "Acid", rad is obvious. Poison and traps would also work.

    Any more questions?
Much obliged! 30$ is really quite a good price for a major game expansion these days, I think - though that may just be the nearly 70$ hole ME2 left in my wallet talking .
  10. Mmm, but I still don't gather where he is getting this supposed information from exactly? Not that making things up out of whole cloth would be exactly a new practice on the internet, I suppose, but I wonder f there is some actual basis for us to fear this extra 30$ fee he's speaking of.

    I'm a bit confused. I don't think I remember seeing /that/ in the article!

I'm so happy I came back from CO.

You, sir, win one whole internetz. I'm just jealous I never thought of it myself. Please tell me you still play with him - meeting him in-game would be the funniest RP ever.
  14. Once upon a time wasn't there the virtue universe channel (VU2008, 2009, ECT) to fill exactly this role? Did it die a horrible death in the past year?
  15. Hmm, that thought has a certain appeal. Conserve power will be the standin for now.

Why not make it 40-60? More damage is always better.

I may take the suggestion about CP. Ill see how my end usage is when I get to that point and cross that bridge when I come to it, so to speak.

That actually makes me wonder - Hibernate obviously seems awesome, but is there any virtue to the epic sets with resistance based passives? After-all, they apply to everything, now.
  19. I suppose I dont, though they were awfully expensive when I did it for perma-PA on my old PvM character, too.

Im curious though, ranking up Frozen armour? Why? The hit points are already maxed out, and other than that set bonus I dont see an advantage. Or is defence less worthless than I'd been led to believe?
  20. Guess not. Ill figure it out!

Anyhoo, thank you all! I really think Id forgotten how awesome the CoH forum community is! See you in-game in about 50 levels!

    Hmm. Probably a good idea.

That gives me the build bellow, but there are 4 slots missing. Im wondering if you ahe any ideas on waht do with them? Buy celererity for Super Speed? Rank up the defence and end reduction of Ice Armor? Something else?
