Blaster or Dominator for Dueling?

The title, I guess, sort of says it all. In your expert (or not so) opinion, which class will produce the better 1v1 build - Psi/EM blaster, or Mind/Fire dominator?

I ask, of course, because I have both at the moment, and Im trying to decide which one to focus on IOing out for PvP. MY instincts tell me to stick with MOAR DAMAGE and focus on the blaster, but it never hurts to have a second opinion or twenty. Plus, funky colored fire looks kindof neet.

Wow! Unanimity on the PvP boards. I think the temperature in hell just dipped, XD.

Why, out of curiosity? Is it just the range? Not that range isnt awesome. I would have thought all the control would count for something, even if they last only 4 seconds apiece, but clearly not.

Higher ability to boost damage and acc, higher ability to boost range, delivers damage in 1 solid hit and without much DOT, fast activation times on all high damage attacks (So much for slow activation = more damage), higher hitpoint base, able to shoot the high damage moves while held, sleeping, and stunned, and can toggle drop offense toggles with the same frequency as a dom.

I have possibly forgotten a few things, but this is most of why.
