  1. Will Han shoot first in the blu ray edition?

This is my answer to your question Marcian. To hold Batman responsible for the crimes that Joker commits is equivalent to making a police officer an accomplice for the crimes committed by a criminal he arrested.

I'm not sure what kind of legal system Gotham has but to me it's very reckless and a lazy one. From what I read in the comics Gotham's laws seem more about making it someone else's problem vs. actually addressing and fixing it.

Now, I am not sure if it was because The Joker was wrongfully accused of a crime and they were going to fry him, or if someone said they were out for Mr. J or if those were two separate arcs, or what have you, but Batman has actively prevented Joker's death before.
I think you're think about the Devil's advocate mini series. Joker is accused of killing a bunch of people through the use of poisoned stamps, gets brought in, and instead of going to Arkham, he ends up on death row awaiting execution, and Batman investigates the case and ends up saving the Joker's life because he was wrongfully accused, but that's what Batman is all about, Justice. He has stated that if Gotham ever decided to end Joker's life in a trial he wouldn't stop it, but he would make sure that it was done fairly. No fixes by legal teams, false witnesses, jury tampering, and such.

However when the Joker has gotten fair trials he ends up back in Arkham, and once again it leads to the real culprit, Gotham's legal system.
  3. Gah, maybe it's the angle of the image but that looks down right horrible.

Sorry internet is acting a bit on the wonky side. When I tried to post this BlackArachnia's post was the only one. It wasn't till after I clicked submit that I say TrueGentleman's post.
  5. Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Tales of Earthsea directed by Miyazaki's son?
  6. Seeing how the devs announced the merger of the market a while back. I'm going to take a wild guess and say that a costume creator revamp/upgrade might be in the works but no idea when it will come out.
  7. Looks like video is down, but here's youtube version
  8. Bought it, saw it, and loved it. I would say that this movie is just as good as Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. The only 2 nitpicks I had with this film is one the intro were Joker beats Jason. Mostly the lack of any actual damage such as sevre bruising and bleeding. As pointed out by others this is rated PG13 and that showing the actual beating of a child, regardless of age, is a no no for US standards.

The other is the scene were Joker is about to torch Black Mask and his gang inside the truck. That whole scene, to me, didn't have that Joker style to it. It was more like what a sociopath would do

There's a forum poster that goes by that handle.

    1% of that is 1,000.

CoX -might- notice that loss. No way WoW will.

SC2 might feel a bit more impact, also presumably D3 down the line, but I don't have a feel for how active the forum communities for those were likely to be.
That's what I believe. Someone posted a video on the WoW forums discussing RealID and he brought up the topic of active forum players canceling their accts. He brought up the point that forum players only represent a small fraction of the actual player customer base. Even if every forum poster did cancel their WoW accts it really wouldn't put a dent in Activision's pocket.

Now where they might actually feel an impact is if the rumors of Blizzard employee discontent are true and -those- folks walk out. But unless there's an en-masse thing led by the founders, I don't see that happening.
I doubt that, Activision can just fill the positions easily and from what I've heard some of the veteran devs of WoW have already left the game some time ago.

Sounds like they $$$ on their minds when making this decision. I'm guessing that any faults pointed out were probably drowned out by the sound of profit.
  12. You know some MMO companies can probably use this as an opportunity for gaining new customers. "Here at <insert name of MMO> we won't force you to use your real name to post on our forums or play our games."
  13. Don't know if this was already posted, but some speculate that this is the reason why Blizzard is doing away with forum anonymity.
  14. I can see why they want to do this, but not really sure if it's a good idea. The only thing I can get is that only first and last name will be displayed on the forums. Don't see any mention of the location or personal info of a player being available to other forum users.

I don't know about that. To me it looked like the 2 groups of numbers and letters were the same.

True, but the costume data is being saved from and loaded back to the CoH system. As far as I can understand that data can only be understood and and used by City of Heroes, and not any other program. The player computer is just being used to store the data. I'm thinking if you tried to load that costume data into some completely different system it might spit out something that looks completely different from the source.

Let me see if I can find the dev quote I'm thinking it was either BAB or Posi that might have said it
  17. It would be nice to have but I don't think NCSoft or Paragon studios will offering this to its playerbase anytime soon, or at all. As Caligdoiel pointed out the cost of production is one factor. I think another problem is exporting player character data off the game servers and moving it on to another completely different system. I think when Figureprints came out for WoW or sometime after it one of the devs said that it would be nice to offer something like that to players but one of the problems they ran across was exporting the player data off the game servers.
  18. One thing I can say about the dev team is that they do give the players what they want. It may take some time but they do give the players what they want.

  21. Zikar's idea sounds good. Also if there is a post that some how pops up here I say don't respond to it. All it does is just brings it up front. I say just report it, and ignore it.
