    This isn't the tide coming in, this is more like an earthquake. Everyone knows it might happen, but not when. Paragon knew they were going to do the wipe and, since its not a exploit issue, we should have gotten a heads up.

    The game is BIG. Everyone misses something. I told a designer the other day that you can combine two enhancements that are already IN a power (i.e. not including one in your tray) and they had no idea that was in the game.     Sigh. So apparently some people are hung up on the semantics of "package deal." So fine, its not a package deal, mea culpa.

    However it is a SYSTEM, and the Arcane Teleporter and the GC Arcane Beacon are each COMPONENTS of this system. As end users all we know is the SYSTEM isn't functioning properly. We have no way of evaluating the "light bulbs" independently. Since you can't test independently, you can't state with certainly where the issue lies. "Its the beacon" is just a guess - no matter who you try to dress it up.

    Furthermore everything I just said is wrong anyway. See this actually a virtual representation of a system and the game code may or may not even treat these things as two separate components. It might, or they might be two functions in an equation, or it might be any number of things I would never think of since I haven't messed with anything other than BASIC. We don't know.

    I can guarantee the Paragon employee whose job it is to fix it doesn't care what either of us guesses the issue is, since they actually DO know these things. I just want them to know there's a problem.
  21. I was contemplating a a character concept that would make use of grenades.

    I wanted to pair it up with Assault Rifle or Dual Pistols as a more offensive playstyle than using Traps or Devices.

    And then I realized that the powerset I was going to suggest would basically already existed- it was called Trick Arrow.

    It would be TA just with different effects/animations.

    So could we get an alternate FX/animation option for Trick Arrow that makes it a Grenade set as well?

    Sorry but you're wrong.

    You can't connect to Galaxy City by clicking on a Teleport Beacon, the beacon HAS to be connected to a teleporter. Thus package deal, the two parts can't be tested independently of one another (at least not by me the end user).

    Just because the Arcane Teleporter is working with other beacons doesn't automatically prove its not broken in combination with the GC beacon. Its probable, as I said before, but hardly certain.

    Technically the two are a package deal, so there is no way to know which is issue. It probably is the beacon, but I can't isolate it to test that.
