The other flaw with the rating system is that (if everyone rates honestly) the mission getting 10 "1's" and 10 "5's" is probably more interesting than the mission getting 20 "5's" and certainly more interesting than the mission with 1 "5"

Also: A very math-oriented forumite (Arcanaville) has kindly reviewed my arc, and suspects that some of the errors may be occurring on the final boss's text fields, where I dropped in Chinese (Traditional) characters for effect. I left them in place for now, but if it breaks again I'll upload a version with the characters removed. I figured they were "valid" since they could copy/paste fine and display correctly in the mission (whereas some other "alternate" text, like my first choice of Hindi, would not), but if it continues to fail, maybe it's not as valid as I thought...

The command is /architect. When you get the accolade, you get a lovely macro that has an emote and that command.

And getting it in the STF was easier than getting it in Grandville for the longest time...

They probably expected you to run your friends and stranger's missions to help them test it to make sure the content was the most fun, story packed missions you could create. Slowly building up the enemy kills over time as you collect amusing stories of how broken your friend's mission was. Then after 6-12 months of having fun, testing dozens of missions while sipping lemonade and chatting about the 'cool' stories that AE makes possible, you would get your badge.



Grounding their expectations in reality is not one of the devs' strong suits.

Not true.

You can't get "The Chosen One" if the Dev's are so sick of MA that they don't look at it.
You can't get "Bug Hunter" if there isn't a Bug Hunter worthy bug in the codebase (large, only benefits the player, not so obvious that dozens of people report it)
You can't get the critic series of badges if people 1 star arcs out of HoF faster than you can run them.

There are many sorts of people.

I have heard that there is a spawning bug, where newly spawned critters will spawn in an inaccessable place.

I guess the only thing you can do is try to find a map where it doesn't happen.

I had that exact comment on one of my arcs. Well...except instead of "grannies" it was "innocent people" and instead of "Fail! 1 star," it was "take all my cookies."

Though, I may have been imagining the last part.
