Of course, I'm curious as to how one can read "Mayhem" as "Safeguard".

Well the OP is talking blue side
[/ QUOTE ]
Considering that he's talking about ***MAYHEM*** missions rather than Safeguards and the Global Threat badge....no, he's not talking blue side.
[/ QUOTE ]
Lmao, are you gonna cry about it? I read it wrong, it's ok, it isn't the end of the world
[/ QUOTE ]
Where are you getting that anyone's crying? Seriously, chill... -

It's annoying that you can't flashback those. There's at least one MM map that's -very- easy to outlevel at early levels before you get it...
[/ QUOTE ]
MM map? It's a Mayhem, not a Mega-Mayhem.
[/ QUOTE ]
*M*ayhem *M*ission map.
[ QUOTE ]
And it's only easy to outlevel if you're using PL techniques like running Mongoose's Bank mission over and over or using the AE.
[/ QUOTE ]
I've never done either and I outlevel one of them all the time if I don't skip the second MI contact. Skyway, I think, is the one I often miss. That comes very easily from doing the missions from the contacts as you get them rather than "saving up" contacts. -

Do a mayhem mission, and after your broker should introduce you to a new contact.
[/ QUOTE ]
Not sure how one would get as far as Sharkhead without knowing that... -

It also has some things other sets don't, like a complete package of status resist. Only WP has that.
[/ QUOTE ]
Are we just pretending /regen doesn't exist? ( Or is there a hole in Integration that I'm forgetting? ) -
I don't think "Positional" in game terms means what you think it means. Positional refers to AOE, melee, or ranged. It doesn't matter if the mobs are in front or behind.
As for point 5, a few recharge SOs and it'll never run out -- It'll even overlap activations. Just set it on autofire and forget it. It's pretty much like SR's Practiced Brawler. -
[ QUOTE ]
Well pardon me for being skeptical. The First Amendment gives me the right to voice that.
[/ QUOTE ]
No one's said you don't have the right to say what you want, and touting out First Amendment rights on a forum when someone disagrees with you only makes you look foolish. More than a little because it actually doesn't apply on a privately run forum and if the mods didn't like what you were saying, they would be completely within their right to silence you. Not saying that's going to happen in this case or anything, just that "First Amendment right" is a silly argument to use.
Anyway, no one's saying that you don't have the right to say what you said. Just that they think you're wrong... -
[ QUOTE ]
Wait, shields can't be uber. When it was introduced, it was universally bemoaned as the weakest defense set.
What happened?
[/ QUOTE ]
People actually played the set and learned what the hell they were talking about instead of spouting off based off 10 levels of play.
Anyway, shields is all positional defense, isn't it? Aren't there some mobs with non-positional attacks? -

Some sites in the case of WoW have been known to use scripting on their webpage to infect computers with keyloggers.
[/ QUOTE ]No one's gonna target the browser with 1% market share!
[/ QUOTE ]
It's not targeting any browser specifically. Unless you go into the settings to actively disable scripting on all websites or have an addon like NoScript for Firefox that'll allow you to pick and choose which sites to allow, any modern browser can be hit by it. ( I actually think IE can inherently be set now to that functionality, by the way... ) -

My FFXI account was hacked 3 times, each time stealing hundreds and hundreds of hours of gameplay from me (expensive items.)
[/ QUOTE ]How on earth could this happen? Did they not have freaking passwords or something???
[/ QUOTE ]
A bunch of FFXI's trustworthy fan sites were hacked and given trojans on the main pages.
[/ QUOTE ]
Firefox + noscript = <3 -
<QR>
I know this is nitpicking semantics, but accounts don't get hacked. People either share their passwords with the wrong people or get themselves infected with a keylogger by being careless. *Hacking* would mean someone broke into the NCSoft servers and pulled the account info directly from there. Trust me, if they did that, we'd ALL know. And they'd be going after bigger things than login info.... -

In Washington State, there was a bill proposed to make throwing containers of human waste from a moving vehicle a crime that would add "points" to your driver's licence. There, they have a system where points add up towards a suspension of your licence and presumably, different offences would be worth different points.
The news crew doing the story interviewed a man whose job was picking up highway trash (D.O.T. worker, I think) who claimed to have picked up a quart jar of #2.
The bill was killed by lobbying by the trucking industry, which makes ya wonder, how hard would it be to drive an 18-wheeler while trying to balance your aim (for a duece!) like that?
I've worked around truck drivers for 15 years and yes, they are that dirty.
"Professional" Drivers, they like to be called.
And since many (long-haul) are paid by the mile, stopping to pull over to use restrooms costs them money.
Think about that next time you are driving close to a semi on the freeway, and be sure to give them plenty of room.
[/ QUOTE ]
To be fair, we're not all like that. In fact, I'd go as far as to say most aren't. But there are some filthy drivers out there, there's no denying that. And enough of them to make us look bad and cause problems for others. Trust me, though, for every driver out there that's more obsessed with making miles than personal health and hygiene ( And the health of others ), there's 5 others out there utterly disgusted by those drivers and hiding our faces in shame.
Several states already do have laws like the one you described in place, many also have -hefty- fines attached to it - above and beyond the standard litter fine.
On the other hand, when I think of all the ridiculous bills groups like CRASH( Citizens for Reliable and Safe Highways ) have passed against truckers, I can't be that upset that trucking lobbyists got a ridiculous win like that. -

Honestly, how much money would an MMO lose if they just flatout banned China entirely?
[/ QUOTE ]
In the case of, say, WoW? About 2/3 to 3/4 of their customer base, I'd estimate. And that's probably just the legit accounts. It wouldn't stop the problem, too. China isn't the only place they come from by far. That -IS- a racist stereotype. -
<QR>
In all seriousness, I'd wager the OP was asking for RP purposes. -

I believe it's a silly hoax simply because he didn't realize that the round things went into the round holes when he's clearly smart enough to click on the "Enhancement" tab and hit "Manage."

Hi, welcome to the human race. You must be new here to have that much faith in it... -
<QR>
To answer the subject like, usually friends of friends, suck-ups, or lame ripoffs... -
[ QUOTE ]
Wait. I wasn't calling the OP anything. I think that the thread is a silly hoax because I'm expected to believe that he went from level six to level fifty (based on the OP's post history) in less than 48 hours, which I do not. I do believe you can go from 1-50 in a few weeks and know nothing about the game, in which case I'm sad because the game is pretty much screwed.
If in fact I'm wrong and he DID actually go from 1-50 in a couple of days, then I'm mad because the game is more broken than it ever has been, and that's saying something.
[/ QUOTE ]
Where've you been? This is been a hot point of debate since AE came out. It has hugely abusive farmability flaws. The worst was closed up, it allowed people to go from 1-50 in just a few hours. There are still a few pretty bad farming exploits, though. And they're being looked at by the devs. The trick is finding a way to close the exploits as fast as they're found without hurting the legit players. -

Looks like what you've got going there is what's known as a "blapper": A blaster focusing on melee attacks. Not exactly what I'd suggest for someone still learning the ropes, but Energy Manipulation is the best secondary for the concept... Still some flaws. Flurry is nigh useless. Whirlwind is fun, but also useless for any practical applications. -

oh i thought that slots were level ups for the powers...i see now, enhancements are complicated though cause its hard to figure out how to buy them from the westworth place, i look for the ones tat are for sale only, and i cant figure out how to buy it and put it in my enhancement inventory :LS

Very first piece of advice: Roll up a new character and DO NOT SKIP THE TUTORIAL. Read EVERYTHING in it as you go through. Once you're out of the tutorial, STAY AWAY FROM THE MISSION ARCHITECT. Run your normal missions, at -least- for the first 10 levels. Play the game. Don't ask anyone to PL you, don't let them if they offer.
Basically, you suck because you were rushed to 50 without actually playing the game and didn't bother to learn what you were doing. -
Well, there was MxO, and CO might fit. DCU, too, I think.

Hello Paragon City! So I've tried the demo for this game 3 times in my life, each time I dug the game but never wanted to try another MMO besides WoW, obviously I'm bored with WoW and waiting for Aion so I bought this at Gamestop for $10 (Good vs Evil pack).
I want to make a Scrapper I believe, perhaps fire or ice powers? I basically want THE most dmg output possible, be able to solo a bit, and have a ton of fun later flying around. I'm probably going for a Phoenix type character (not the Marvel kind). Any advice for skills, leveling, etc? I'm thinking of going to the Champion server but willing to re-roll if you know of a higher populated server with better people, etc.
Thanks for listening and glad to be here
[/ QUOTE ]
On servers... Champion's a good server, but if you're looking for population, Freedom and Virtue respectively. Virtue happens to be the "unofficial roleplay server" if you're into that. That's not to say that there isn't RP on other servers, though. Just most of it is on Virtue. -

It's a convenience that is in no way necessary for playing the game.
